Hogwarts: Me? Fight Voldemort?

Malfoy was initially delighted to see the professor, but then he remembered what Jimmy had said and shook his head with a grim expression, "I...we were practicing spells."
After saying that, he grabbed Crabbe and Goyle, those two idiots, squeezed past Quirrell, and disappeared without a trace.
Professor Quirrell remained as timid and submissive as he watched the three leave.
Chapter 25 My First Experience with Potions Class
Harry's Good Friday began the moment Snape burst through the Potions classroom door...
Professor Snape's aura made all the young wizards tremble, even the students of Slytherin House, their eyes following the swaying black robes all the way to the back of the podium.
The brightest window in the dimly lit underground classroom shone outside light onto the podium, casting dappled shadows on Professor Snape's face.
He picked up the roll call, and when he called Harry's name, a forced smile stretched across his expressionless face. "Oh, yes. Harry Potter, this is our newest—the very famous one!"
A murmur of laughter rippled through the Slytherin students, and Malfoy laughed too, though his eyes would occasionally dart toward Jimmy sitting in the front row.
After calming down, Malfoy's opinion of Jimmy completely changed, and he felt that Jimmy was unfathomable.
Especially that line, "Nobody here will talk to you about bloodlines, except for those guys who make a fortune off their bloodlines." It was very special. He wanted to say something like that, but he couldn't come up with it no matter how hard he tried. It was even more pure-blooded than pure-blooded!
He wanted to say something similar to Potter...
Damn it, how come Jimmy can pretend so well!
Malfoy wasn't worried about Jimmy's retaliation, nor did he want to clash with him. Jimmy was just a businessman; compared to him, the despicable Potter was far more repulsive.
"You have come here to learn the precise science and rigorous process of potion-making."
Snape, his eyes vacant, began to chant his opening words, "Since there's no need to foolishly wave wands here, many of you won't believe this is magic. I don't expect you to truly grasp the wondrous power of that slowly simmering cauldron, its white smoke, that soothes and dazzles the mind..."
I can teach you how to increase your reputation, cultivate glory, and even prevent death—but there's one condition: you must not be the kind of fools I often encounter.
These words completely intimidated the students who were taking Potions class for the first time, and they began to look forward to what was to come.
Jimmy also wants to learn potions well, because potions can make a lot of money!
"Potter!" Snape began to unleash his power. "What would I get if I added narcissus root powder to wormwood infusion?"
Harry, whose name was called, stood up looking bewildered. His mind raced, and he came up with the standard answer: "I don't know, sir."
Hermione had already raised her arms high.
"It seems that fame doesn't represent everything."
Snape asked two more questions, which Harry couldn't answer either.
Harry was confused and annoyed by Snape's blatant targeting. He pointed to Hermione, who still had her hand raised high, and said, "I think Hermione knows the answer. Why don't you ask her?"
"Sit down!" Snape roared at Hermione, then turned to Harry. "Let me tell you! Potter, narcissus root powder and artemisia can be mixed together to make a powerful sleeping potion—a potion of life and death..."
Jimmy carefully wrote down all the information, and then nudged Hermione, who was looking disgruntled, to remind her to copy the notes.
“Why didn’t you write all of this down!” Snape continued, “Potter! Gryffindor will lose a point for talking back to your teacher.”
The shameless Snape didn't care about anyone's dissatisfaction; he just went about his teaching, and even found reasons to deduct points from Gryffindor on several occasions.
Even Jimmy was left speechless because he deducted a point on his own initiative.
The first lesson was all theory. After a short break, in the second lesson, Snape had everyone prepare the scabies medicine according to the recipe and steps on the blackboard.
Jimmy and Hermione were put in a group, and since it was a cooperative activity, Jimmy's broken cauldron was only used to boil horned slugs.
Hermione was in charge of adding ingredients to the cauldron, while Jimmy was in charge of processing them. He crushed the snake fangs into powder and, despite feeling nauseous, went to get the slugs.
He saw that Hermione was still brooding over being scolded by Snape and looked unconvinced. For some reason, he wanted to tease her. "Hermione, I have something for you. Hold out your hand."
Hermione reached out her hand, bewildered, and Jimmy placed a horned slug on it. Hermione was terrified; she was so startled that she almost threw the slug at Jimmy's face.
Seeing Hermione's appearance, Jimmy laughed mischievously, and after laughing, he inexplicably felt that his body had shrunk, and his mental age seemed to have shrunk as well.
The horned slug was tossed onto the table. Hermione glared at Jimmy, who was trying not to laugh, and wiped the slime off her hands with Jimmy's robe. "Disgusting!"
Jimmy, grinning, whispered, "I was just teasing you because you seemed unhappy."
"Are you kidding me!" Hermione rolled her eyes, picked up the tongs, and placed the horned slug on the rack of the cauldron next to her to steam.
At that moment, Professor Snape floated by like a ghost, casually remarking, "Not paying attention in class, Gryffindor loses 1 point."
Jimmy and Hermione straightened up and focused on operating the crucible.
Suddenly, a violent uproar came from behind them, followed by the little wizard's scream.
The two turned around and saw that Neville's cauldron had been burned through, and scalding potion dripped through the table and onto the ground, with thick green smoke rising immediately. Neville's scream and Snape's furious roar rang out at the same time.
"Idiot!" Snape waved his wand, sweeping the potion off the floor. "I suppose you put the porcupine quill in without taking the cauldron off the fire, didn't you?"
Neville couldn't answer; his face was covered in boils, and he was convulsing in pain.
Applying a poorly made scabies medicine to the skin will not make the boils disappear; instead, it will cause more boils to appear.
"Take him to the hospital!" Snape ordered Seamus, not wanting to see his monstrous, stupid student for even a second longer.
He clearly wrote down all the steps on the blackboard, following the formula step by step. While he might not be perfect, at least he wouldn't make any mistakes.
Then Snape saw Harry and Ron standing next to Neville and the others, and his anger still simmering. "Potter! Why didn't you tell him not to add the porcupine quills? Did you think he made a mistake and that made you so clever? Gryffindor lost another point because of you!"
Jimmy saw that Harry's expression had become very resentful, and if Ron hadn't stopped him, he definitely would have said something.
Hermione was also looking back, her expression even more resentful than Harry's, because two Snape lessons had almost wiped out all the points she had earned in her other classes that week.
Once the scabies potion was brewed, any potion brewed by a Gryffindor student would always be found to be substandard for various reasons, while a potion brewed by a Slytherin student would not be penalized by Snape, even if the color was completely wrong.
This blatant favoritism left everyone helpless. The two Potions classes ended under the oppressive atmosphere of Snape's terror, and the Gryffindor lion cubs, while filled with righteous indignation, also breathed a sigh of relief.
No one thought Snape was a good professor; even Hermione thought he was morally incompetent.
During the meal, Hermione invited Jimmy, "Want to go to the library together later?"
“I arranged to meet Hagrid this morning, he’s the game keeper at Hogwarts,” Jimmy politely declined, then turned to Hermione and invited, “He lives in a cabin near the Forbidden Forest, would you like to come along?”
Hermione glanced at Harry and Ron chatting not far away, hesitated for a moment, then shook her head. "Thank you, but I think I'll go to the library."
Chapter 26 Hagrid
After lunch, Jimmy followed Harry and Ron to the cabin near the Forbidden Forest.
Hagrid's house consisted of a stone foundation and a haphazardly pieced-together dome, with a huge crossbow and an even larger pair of rubber overshoes in front of the wooden door.
Harry went up and knocked on the door. After three knocks, Hagrid's voice came from inside.
"Back off, Ya Ya, back off."
The wooden door was opened a crack, revealing Hagrid's face, below which was a huge black dog's head, and below that, a raccoon emerged.
Wait a minute...
"Rocket? You've come all this way?" Jimmy grabbed Rocket by the scruff of the neck, lifted it up to his face, and noticed that it had gotten thinner.
I released it into Hogwarts a few days ago. It even knew how to find its food bowl, so I figured it could support itself and didn't pay much attention to it. I never expected it to end up with Hagrid.
Hagrid exclaimed in surprise, "So this little guy is your pet? No wonder he's so fat! Come on in!"
The three were ushered inside. There was only one room in the cabin, and Hagrid led them to a small table next to it.
Hagrid gave up the sofa; that extravagant single sofa could fit three little wizards.
A wooden bed was placed in the corner of the room. Jimmy's eyes began to search the room, and in just a few glances, he discovered a large pile of magical materials, including unicorn tail hair, pheasant feathers, moon fox droppings, and dried Temora rats.
The big black dog pounced on Ron, leaving a trail of saliva on his face with its large tongue.
Hagrid placed a plate with a teacup and rock bread on the table. Harry, acting as an intermediary, introduced Hagrid to Ron and Jimmy, and then in turn introduced Hagrid to Harry.
“You’re welcome.” The massive Hagrid was not a scary person; on the contrary, he was gentle and kind. He glanced at Ron and immediately knew his identity. “Another Weasley brother, huh? I’ve spent almost my entire life trying to drive your two older brothers out of the Forbidden Forest.”
Ron smiled awkwardly and reached into the tea tray to take a piece of rock-skin cake.
Harry also took two pieces, and gave one to Jimmy.
quack!
Hagrid then turned his gaze to Jimmy and said, "You'd better help this little guy lose some weight; he's overweight."
Jimmy casually handed the rock-skin cake to Rocket, placed it on the ground, and said, "His name is Rocket. I tried having him exercise before, and the results were obvious, but he just didn't lose weight. Come on, Rocket, backflip!"
The rocket bit into the rock crust, lowered its body, and then jumped into the air and did a somersault.
“A raging Gorgon! How did it do that!” Hagrid’s eyes widened like light bulbs, his voice filled with shock.
Jimmy shrugged helplessly. "When I was helping him lose weight, he practiced backflips. He got fatter and fatter, but he did learn how to do backflips."
Even though they had seen it once before, Harry and Ron still found it incredible. How did this raccoon manage to do a backflip?
Then they took a bite of the rock-skin cake and crunched!
The sound, like teeth scraping against stone, made Jimmy wink at the two of them with glee.
Hagrid sat down on a creaky wooden chair and pressed Jimmy for some tips on raising animals. Jimmy casually gave some made-up reasons.
The Rockets have always been in a semi-hands-off state, so they don't have any experience to share.
The conversation then turned to the main topic: Harry's studies.
Hagrid personally took Harry to that Muggle family. He learned about Harry's situation when he went to pick him up, so he naturally cares about him a lot now.
When asked about his experiences these past few days, Harry finally found the opportunity to put down the hard rock cake and recount his experiences in class.
On the first morning, Harry got lost and accidentally walked to the right-hand corridor on the fourth floor. As a result, Filch mistook him for a naughty kid trying to break into the corridor and scolded him.
Hagrid was clearly very unhappy with Filch, calling him an "old idiot."
Jimmy remained silent, listening attentively with his teacup in hand.
Ron was still struggling with the rock cake. The rock cake, which was covered in saliva, hadn't softened much, and he was almost crying from biting into it.
At this point, Harry mentioned the two Potions classes he had that morning and believed that Snape harbored a grudge against him.
Hagrid told Harry not to worry, because Snape had almost never liked any students. He wasn't being targeted; he was just one of the students who were hated on an equal footing.
But Harry, as the person involved, still retorted, "But he seems to really hate me."
"Nonsense!" Hagrid scoffed. "Why would he hate you?"
His attitude aroused Harry's suspicion. Under the boy's intense gaze, Hagrid abruptly changed the subject, saying to Ron, "How's your brother Charlie? I like him very much. He's very good with animals."
