Hogwarts: Me? Fight Voldemort?

End of Chapter 36
George was hiding in a corner looking at the Marauder's Point map. At this time, Filch had run to the fifth floor, Professor McGonagall and Dumbledore were on the third floor, and Quirrell was wandering on the fourth floor. For the time being, they were relatively safe.
The professors probably never imagined that they would be so bold as to occupy the auditorium for an event.
After seeing that all the Hufflepuffs and Slytherins had returned to their dormitories, George gave Fred an OK sign.
Fred immediately went to Jimmy's side, took the bag Jimmy handed him, which was full of ticket money paid by Slytherin students, and asked Fred to take it back to Gryffindor for the time being.
"Alright, we can go now." Jimmy clapped his hands and led the way out of the auditorium, with the others following behind.
The Ravenclaw common room is accessed in a similar way to the Gryffindor common room. You need to go up to the fifth floor and then answer the eagle-headed door knocker question in front of the door at the end of the corridor before you can enter.
Gryffindor has the most stairs to climb, on the seventh floor.
George and Fred knew there was a secret passage leading to the fifth floor, and they could escape safely by luring Filch away from the fifth floor.
Students from both colleges filed out, and Jimmy, as he walked out of the auditorium, was surprised to find Malfoy waiting at the door, not having left.
Until Malfoy saw Harry, he immediately delivered his long-suppressed declaration of victory, "Well, Poot! I told you, you'll be influenced when you befriend eccentric people."
So they came here to kick someone when they're down. No wonder they were waiting here!
Jimmy thought that if Malfoy hadn't spoken up, he probably wouldn't have been able to sleep when he got back to his dorm.
Harry and Ron glared at Malfoy, when a little witch emerged from the crowd and retorted to Malfoy, "You're right, being friends with fools can be detrimental. Harry just hasn't been exposed to magic long enough; I think the other winner will influence him properly."
Harry and Ron stared at Hermione in surprise, neither of them having noticed when she had arrived.
The two exchanged a glance, both seeing disbelief in each other's eyes; they simply couldn't believe she would say that...
Malfoy pondered the words for a moment and immediately understood their meaning. He glared at Hermione, as if he was about to utter a curse.
Jimmy then pushed them, saying, "Hurry up, the professor is getting off!"
Upon hearing that the professor was coming, the group's expressions changed, and they all fled the scene.
Jimmy and Hermione were the last two to enter the secret passage. The dim passage was illuminated by the white light of the Illumination Charm, and the light went up the stairs.
The stairwell was quiet. Jimmy, who was at the back, said to Hermione with a hint of teasing, "Was the match interesting?"
Hermione's face flushed instantly, and she didn't dare to answer, continuing to walk with her head slightly lowered.
“You spoke up for Harry and Ron, they’ll definitely know how good you are, and they’ll consider you a friend.”
Hermione protested in a low voice, "I didn't do this to make friends, it's just that Malfoy went too far."
At that moment, Fred squeezed down the narrow stairs and gestured for Jimmy to follow.
"See you tomorrow," Jimmy whispered to Hermione.
Hermione replied quietly, "See you tomorrow."
After saying goodbye to Hermione, Jimmy followed Fred up the stairs.
As Jimmy squeezed his way up, he also saw Irving and Wumer; apparently, the two had also come to watch the game.
Continuing upwards, at the very top, the group temporarily stopped here. In front of them was a tapestry; lifting the tapestry would lead to the corridor on the fifth floor.
The Marauder's Map shows that Filch has gone up to the sixth floor, Quirrell is still on the fourth floor, and Professor McGonagall and Professor Dumbledore have gone down to the second floor.
So as long as they lure Filch away, they can safely return to the common room.
Jimmy was in charge of this, and he was prepared to take the biggest risks and reap the biggest rewards. He wouldn't allow George and Fred to do it.
"I'll lure Filch away in a bit, then you all hurry back and don't worry about me."
George and Fred tipped their hats at Jimmy in a gesture of respect, and then dramatically wiped away tears.
Jimmy lifted the tapestry and went into the hallway, deliberately bumping into a suit of armor to make a sound. He then took a few steps up the stairs, saw Filch, and immediately ran down.
Hearing the commotion and coming to investigate, Filch saw a young wizard trying to run away and immediately chased after him like a madman, shouting as he ran, "Young wizards on a night stroll! Young wizards on a night stroll!"
Jimmy ran away, and Filch chased after him, running all the way up the stairs away from Quirrell to the third floor.
After more than a week of training, Jimmy had developed good stamina and was much faster than the old glutton Filch in going up and down the stairs. He would also occasionally make some noise so that Filch could catch up with him.
After roughly estimating that George and Fred should have already returned to the common room, Jimmy turned a corner and prepared to go up another staircase.
Suddenly, a pair of green eyes lit up in the dark corridor, startling him.
After a closer look, Jimmy realized it was Rocket and angrily shouted, "Rocket, what are you doing there? Didn't I tell you to distract Filch... uh."
A soft white light suddenly illuminated the corridor. Professor McGonagall, dressed in a bathrobe, stared at him with droopy eyelids, her weariness mixed with indifference. Dumbledore, dressed in a purple bathrobe, stood beside him. Rocket was at their feet, his eyes as clear as an ordinary raccoon's.
At that moment, Filch caught up.
He froze when he saw both headmasters were there, then revealed a sinister smile, his withered, peeling fingers poking at Jimmy, who was frozen in place. "Professor Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall, the little wizard who was out at night, and this one!"
He held a large stack of notes in his hand; those were the notes Jimmy had used to mislead Filch.
Knowing he had no hope of escaping, Jimmy was quite straightforward and immediately lowered his head to admit his mistake, "I'm sorry, I won't do it again!"
But none of this worked.
"Given your behavior, I will deduct 50 points from your Gryffindor grade." Professor McGonagall's words were cold, her tone filled with deep disappointment. "Not only that, you will also be placed in solitary confinement for a week. The details of the confinement will be arranged later. Now, go back to sleep."
She thought Jimmy would be a good boy, at least well-behaved and obedient. After all, Gryffindor wasn't without well-behaved students like Percy, and Hermione Granger was equally outstanding.
Unfortunately... no one is perfect.
Over the years, Professor McGonagall had grown accustomed to this torment, especially after the Weasley twins enrolled.
Jimmy glanced cautiously at Dumbledore, and seeing that he didn't react, he slowly sped up and ran upstairs, ignoring even Rocket.
Five minutes later, he returned to the Gryffindor common room.
As soon as he entered, cheers erupted in the lounge. The students who had finished watching the game hadn't gone back to sleep yet; they were all waiting for Jimmy to return because he had accomplished something that no one had ever done before.
He managed to send hundreds of young wizards on a nighttime stroll and still manage to escape unscathed!
This feat will be remembered by Gryffindor students and passed down through generations until graduation.
"Tonight will be a night to remember!" George and Fred hoisted him onto their shoulders. "Let's cheer for the Gryffindor warrior!"
"Jimmy, Wuhu!"
A series of strange, disordered cries echoed through the lounge; though the words were jumbled, they were filled with intense emotion.
Jimmy, tossed into the air, was caught up in the atmosphere and joined in the cheering and shouting, "Let's cheer for tonight's duelists!"
The cheers then turned to Harry and Ron, whose faces still had some blemishes, but they were contentedly grinning along with everyone else.
After the celebration, everyone returned to their dormitories exhausted to sleep, and the event came to a successful conclusion.
Chapter 37 Dividing the Spoils
The next day, a group of yawning Gryffindor lion cubs noticed while having breakfast that the hourglass above the Great Hall was missing a section.
"Actually, Professor McGonagall caught me last night, deducted fifty points, and will put me in solitary confinement for a week."
When faced with his friends' questions, Jimmy simply stated the truth casually during a break from eating.
Harry and Ron expressed their regret, but didn't dwell on it.
The little witch sitting next to Jimmy felt like the sky was falling. "Fifty points! How many questions do I have to answer to get those fifty points back?!"
Hogwarts has few classes to begin with, and even fewer opportunities to answer questions and earn points. With so few classes, it might be impossible to make up for lost points until before Christmas.
"Come on, nobody cares about those scores."
Ron was still savoring last night's victory. Although his opinion of Hermione had changed somewhat, he still disagreed with Hermione's sole focus on grades. "Next, we should give Harry special training. If Harry knows a few more spells, he can definitely beat Malfoy!"
Hermione ignored Ron and counted on her fingers how many classes it would take to add up the points back.
At this moment, Malfoy, who had arrived at the Great Hall, took a long detour to the Gryffindor's long table. He was as flamboyant as a peacock spreading its tail feathers. "Well, Potter? Maybe you can use your reputation to get others to stand up for you."
Harry said with obvious annoyance, "Would you dare to compete again at Christmas?"
He believed he lost because he didn't know enough spells. If he had another chance and learned more spells, he would definitely be able to defeat Malfoy.
Although he didn't want to admit it, Malfoy still felt that he would definitely lose to Pott next time, so he didn't agree and instead seized on this weakness to continue attacking Pott, "Don't be so naive, Pott! I've already given you a chance!"
Having said that, Malfoy raised his chin to the ceiling and swaggered away.
Harry couldn't refute this fact, and his expression turned very ugly.
Ron, worried about his good friend, comforted him, "Don't mind Malfoy, you'll surpass him sooner or later."
That smug look was annoying to everyone. Even Hermione comforted Harry, saying, "I've seen your duel. The difference isn't that big. You can surpass Malfoy anytime."
"Thank you." Harry felt much better.
“I think this is just the beginning,” Jimmy said meaningfully.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione had no idea what he was trying to say until Potions class arrived.
As soon as Harry entered the classroom, he saw a group of Slytherin students smiling at him. When he looked over, they would turn away and secretly laugh.
It's obvious who the Slytherin people are laughing at.
The one who was most nervous was Snape. Just like last week, he burst into the classroom, but stared at Harry with a meaningful look, as if he also knew something.
Harry was particularly uncomfortable with the two consecutive classes in the morning. As the saying goes, one must endure hardship and toil to be able to shoulder great responsibilities. The savior still needs to work harder to adapt!
After class, Jimmy said goodbye to the depressed Harry and Ron and headed to the abandoned classroom on the fifth floor where Harry was doing his special training.
There were already two furtive figures in the classroom. When they heard the noise, they turned around and immediately rubbed their hands together excitedly.
Jimmy entered the classroom and hid behind the desk with the two men to do something shady: divide the money.
They've been working so hard all night, waiting for this moment!
They emptied out all their silver scissors and piled them high on the ground; this was the result of their day's work.
The Golden Book had already calculated the profit ratios in advance. Jimmy planned the event, arranged the actions, and deliberately lured Filch away to take the highest risk, so the profit was 70%.
George and Fred joined in to handle the lobbying, taking up 30% of the team.
To avoid misunderstanding, Jimmy explained the distribution ratio, but George and Fred just laughed and said that 30% was too much.
The total income was 576 sicos. Jimmy received 403 sicos, and George and Fred split 173 sicos. Converted to gallons, this is equivalent to 23 gallons for 12 sicos and 10 gallons for 3 sicos.
Galleons' purchasing power is weak only for magic-related items. In fact, a few dozen Galleons is a lot, considering that the average monthly salary of a Ministry of Magic employee is only 100 Galleons.
“We’ll each have 5 Gallons and 1 Sickle.” George immediately divided his and Fred’s money.
