Hogwarts: Me? Fight Voldemort?

Hermione, engrossed in her book, was slightly startled and nearly elbowed Jimmy in the nose.
Instead of scaring Hermione as intended, Jimmy was quite startled by the elbow that brushed past his hair and quickly distanced himself, saying, "Don't elbow me! Just kidding!"
"Jimmy? When did you get here!" Hermione exclaimed with disdain when she recognized Jimmy as the person who had suddenly appeared. "Is Mr. Blaine trying to scare us?"
"Oh, I was just kidding. Consider this my apology." Jimmy grinned and handed Hermione an iced milk tea. "I was here when you started rolling around in bed laughing like an idiot."
Hermione sat up in bed, her cheeks flushed, angrily exclaiming, "How dare you spy on me!" after her friend discovered she was home alone.
“I wasn’t peeping, I was…” Jimmy’s eyes suddenly activated their auto-targeting, automatically fixing on Hermione’s bare ankles and neck, and he declared righteously, “Looking openly and honestly!”
Hermione took the milk tea, rolled her eyes at Jimmy, inserted the straw, and gulped it down.
After taking a sip, she realized she had been so engrossed in her book that she hadn't had any water in a long time. She spat out the straw, licked her lips, and asked with bright eyes, "Milk tea?"
The earliest milk tea was English milk tea, and the method of making it is not much different from modern milk tea. So Hermione had drunk milk tea a long time ago. However, Jimmy's recipe has been improved and the preparation method can better blend the flavors of milk and tea together.
"It's my shop's signature drink, but don't drink too much of it. It contains a lot of sugar, and drinking too much can easily lead to obesity."
Jimmy went up to pinch Hermione's cheek. Even after visiting her grandparents, the baby fat on her face hadn't gone down at all; in fact, it looked even softer.
His hand was slapped away, and Hermione, like a stressed kitten, bared her teeth and claws, saying, "Don't pinch me!"
"Okay~!" Knowing the joke had run its course, Jimmy pulled out a chair from under the desk, positioned it with the back facing the bed, rested his chin on the back, and asked, "Did Uncle and Aunt go to work?"
"Well, I'm sorry I couldn't come to your shop." Hermione closed the book, her fierce expression turning into a smile. She had been cooped up in the countryside for most of the summer and was really getting restless.
To hide her school a secret, Hermione has to make up all sorts of lies to appease her grandparents' enthusiasm, and she can't even use magic.
If it weren't for Lockhart's novels, she would have gone crazy from boredom.
“It’s not too late to come now. Business at the shop has stabilized a lot now.” Jimmy invited Hermione, “Shall we go now? We can leave a note for your aunt and uncle and come back for dinner tonight.”
"Hmm..." Hermione was intrigued. She asked, "How do we get there? By subway or bus?"
Jimmy smiled and pointed to the Sweeping Six Stars broom at the foot of the bed, "The sixth generation broom from Sweeping Company, heavy enough to carry two little wizards up to the sky."
Looking at the broom, Hermione asked in surprise, "You came on a broom? Didn't everyone else see you flying in the sky?"
“I cast a Muggle Exorcism Charm, which makes me invisible to ordinary people.”
"But aren't young wizards not allowed to cast spells outside of school?"
Jimmy explained, "That's for junior wizards. The Ministry of Magic's methods for detecting junior wizards casting spells outside of school can't pinpoint exactly who's casting the spell, so casting spells where there are wizards won't be detected."
"I want to go!" Hermione exclaimed enviously. Jimmy could cast spells all summer, which made her jump out of bed immediately. "You go out first, I need to change my clothes."
“I’ll go leave a note for Uncle and Aunt.” Jimmy picked up a broom and went out of Hermione’s room to leave a message for Uncle George and Aunt Mia downstairs.
After writing the message, Hermione changed her clothes. She was wearing a very ordinary brown coat and beige trousers.
The two went outside, mounted their flying brooms one after the other, and soared into the sky.
Hermione had to hold onto Jimmy's waist to keep herself steady on the tiny flying broomstick. Her hair was blown around by the wind, and as they climbed higher, the Granger house seemed to shrink.
Jimmy rode his broomstick through the streets, flew over London, circled Big Ben and the Tower of London, and even passed under the bridges over the Thames.
Hermione loved the feeling of flying, but she wasn't good at riding a flying broom. The wind blowing on her face made her skin feel cool, which made her feel comfortable, and she smiled happily.
Chapter 104 The Born Prophet
After flying around several London landmarks, the two landed in the courtyard behind the Leaky Cauldron. Since they could descend from the sky, they naturally skipped the steps of entering.
Hermione was quick to react, taking out her wand from the safe and striking it against the stone bricks. The bricks overlapped, revealing the entrance to Diagon Alley.
Jimmy stuffed the broom into his Unmarkable Expansion Charm pocket, and he and Hermione went to Florin's Ice Cream Shop to buy two ice creams, eating them as they walked toward the shops deep in Diagon Alley.
As the two passed by Flourish and Blotts, the bookstore staff put up a huge poster at the entrance. The poster featured a flamboyant man wearing a gold cloak and a white gentleman's tuxedo.
He had flowing blond hair and a disgusting smile, winking obsequiously at every passerby.
“吉德罗·洛哈特?签名出售全新冒险巨著《与哥贝克力和解》+《会魔法的我》?8月22号下午13:00~17:00!”
Hermione read the words on the poster aloud, jumped up, grabbed Jimmy, and exclaimed excitedly, "Oh my god, it's Lockhart's book signing! I just finished reading his biography for the second time, what a coincidence! I have to come and buy Lockhart's book!"
“Today was pretty good…” Jimmy rolled his eyes and said, “until this poster was put up.”
Hermione corrected her somewhat displeasedly, "I think today was pretty good. You have a very deep misunderstanding of Lockhart. Let me tell you..."
The two continued deeper into Diagon Alley, with Hermione tirelessly praising Lockhart's brilliance and recounting how much she had learned from his novels, until Jimmy was thoroughly tired of hearing it.
Who Lockhart is? We'll find out eventually; facts speak louder than words.
Upon arriving at 333 Diagon Alley, Hermione finally stopped bombarding his brain with questions. "Is this your shop? There are quite a few customers inside."
“Dozens of customers come to the shop to play cards every day.” Upon arriving at his turf, Jimmy immediately introduced the shop to Hermione, “There are seven employees. That’s Mary, who makes drinks; that’s Olivia; the others make cards and serve customers…”
Jimmy showed Hermione around the shop, and the two even relived the joy of playing cards in the lounge. Hermione was amused by Jimmy's antics when she saw the photos in the Daily Prophet.
In the afternoon, an owl flew into the shop and delivered a letter from Hogwarts to Jimmy.
Jimmy opened the letter and looked at it with Hermione. The letter was simple, reminding the students to buy new textbooks.
Standard Spells, Level Two, by Miranda Goschak.
Breaking with a Ghost, Traveling with a Ghoul, Vacationing with a She-Devil, Traveling with a Troll, Sailing with a Vampire, Wandering with a Werewolf, A Year with the Yeti of Tibet — by Gilderoy Lockhart.
What's even more outrageous is that Gilderoy Lockhart also included his new book, "Reconciliation with Göbekli," in the list. These books cost an average of 3 Galleons each, totaling 21 Galleons, which would take an average wizard a week's work to afford.
Hermione, seeing the book list, assumed the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor was also a fan of Gilderoy Lockhart and showed an expectant expression.
After Jimmy finished reading, he threw the book list on the coffee table, saying, "I'm not going to spend money on these useless books... Level 2 Standard Spells don't count."
"What's wrong with it? Many of the spellcasting methods and ways to deal with dark creatures inside are clearly very useful!" Hermione insisted on her opinion.
Jimmy said speechlessly, "Okay, the book is indeed useful, but I still won't buy it. I'll borrow your book to read during class."
Gilderoy Lockhart's books were indeed useful; he wouldn't scribble things down in areas he didn't understand, and the expertise from the old wizards had been certified by Merlin's Order of the Wizards.
But because he hates Lockhart's books so much, Jimmy simply doesn't like them, and forget about getting him to spend money on them!
"That's disrespectful to the professor!" Jimmy's behavior resembled that of an immature child. Hermione sighed, feeling she should correct him, but remembering that Jimmy always had his reasons, she asked, "Why don't you like Gilderoy Lockhart?"
Jimmy didn't want to say it, because he felt that the facts he saw were more convincing than words, but when he saw the doubt in Hermione's eyes, he suddenly softened.
It's better to reveal the truth beforehand than to let Hermione discover it on her own, to avoid any unpleasantness later.
"Gidero Lockhart is not a good person. All the stories in his novels are plagiarized from other people's experiences. He doesn't know any magic other than the Oblivion Charm!"
"Really?" Hermione asked incredulously. "How do you know all this?"
"Actually, I was the one who prophesied Magus!" Jimmy started lying without batting an eye. "A natural prophet, you know! Didn't I predict at the end of the semester that Dumbledore would give us our points back?"
"I thought you guessed it."
Hermione's brow furrowed with conflicting emotions, and she felt terrible. She loved Gilderoy Lockhart's biographical novels so much.
She spent the entire summer reading Lockhart's legendary story, and now that she knows Lockhart was a fraud, she finds it hard to accept.
"Why didn't anyone discover his secret?" Hermione asked again. "Wasn't there any way to expose him?"
Jimmy also wrote an anonymous letter to the Ministry of Magic, revealing Lockhart's situation, but nothing came of it after the letter was sent, and Lockhart continued to live a good life.
He has two guesses about this: either there is no direct evidence, or all the victims are foreign sorcerers.
Either Lockhart's Oblivion Curse was too powerful, completely erasing the victim's mind, so much so that they couldn't even realize their memories had been altered, and therefore wouldn't go to the hospital to restore their memories.
“I have no evidence to allow the Auror to arrest him. His forgetting spell is too powerful; the victim will not even remember that their memory has been altered.”
Lockhart's Oblivion Curse was touted as incredibly powerful by Harry Potter fans from the previous world. Jimmy wasn't sure if it was true, but it was a fact that there was no evidence to bring Lockhart to justice for the time being.
Hermione's mood soured as well; today was definitely not a good day...
As evening approached, Jimmy rode home on a broomstick with Hermione.
When Jimmy flew over Granger's house and saw Uncle George come out of the door, his playful side kicked in. After landing, he said, "Uncle... Uncle George, is it safe to leave my broom in the garage?"
George looked bewildered, but he still opened the garage door and let Jimmy put the broom inside.
Tonight was another sumptuous meal, and Jimmy slept in the guest room for the time being. Since tomorrow was Saturday and the dentist's office was closed, Uncle George and Aunt Mia decided to accompany Hermione to Diagon Alley to buy stationery for the next semester.
While Jimmy and Hermione were reading in their room after dinner, an owl suddenly flew in through the window.
It was Errol from the Ron family. The old owl flew into the room and landed on the bed, motionless.
Hermione was terrified, thinking it was dead, but thankfully it got up on its own after a while.
The letter said they went to Harry's house and rescued him from the evil Muggle prison. Harry is now at the Burrow and will be going to Diagon Alley to buy school supplies tomorrow.
Chapter 105 The waters here are very deep; you can't handle it.
The next day, Uncle George drove his family to the Leaky Cauldron.
As soon as they entered the bar through the main entrance, they saw the prominent billboard.
Jimmy explained to the three of them, "This is the billboard for my shop. The bar owner promised to put it up when school starts."
"That's amazing! To be able to open a shop at such a young age!" Aunt Mia praised him generously, her tone as if she were coaxing a child.
Uncle George also said he wanted to visit Jimmy's shop. They had all eaten lunch beforehand because Hermione still wanted to see the real Gilderoy Lockhart.
Before heading to Flourish and Blotts, Uncle George had to accompany Hermione to Gringotts to exchange for Galleons. Jimmy, not wanting to deal with those greedy goblins, waited at the entrance.
Suddenly, Jimmy spotted a blond figure in the crowd—it was Lucius.
Lucius walked down the street with his chin slightly raised and his cane still in his hand, accompanied by Draco, who had grown a little taller.
Jimmy called out to them, "Draco!"
He remembered that Lucius had another of Old Tom's notebooks and wanted to get his hands on it to get rid of it beforehand.
Lucius and Draco turned around at the sound and saw Jimmy standing in front of Gringotts. He turned the corner and walked over.
As he approached, Lucius gave him a friendly smile. "Jimmy, I didn't expect to see you here today. How have you been lately?"
When his father was present, Draco acted reserved, but his eyes were fixed on Jimmy with a gleaming gaze like that of a pervert.
"Not bad, are you here to buy things you'll need for the start of school too?"
There's something wrong with Draco. Jimmy felt a chill run down his spine from that look in his eyes. Could it be that he's woken up too?
I can't accept the English gay tradition!
Lucius said proudly, "That's right."
