The Magnetic Emperor began leading Gotham toward justice.

With that thought in mind, he walked to Chief Gordon's office.

"Chief Gordon, you wanted to see me?"

“Sheriff Bai Lang, please sit down.” Jim Gordon gestured to the seat opposite him, indicating that Bai Lang should sit down.

"Now that you're a sheriff, I'm going to assign several officers to you so they can assist you in investigating cases."

Hearing his words, Bai Lang nodded; this was truly a godsend.

He was going to the Penguin's place anyway, so bringing a few more officers would make things easier.

As for why he didn't use Batman's identity?

Just kidding, he's a fake Batman. Even though he acted all cool and awesome in front of everyone in Gotham, he's still a fake.

Moreover, his legitimate identity as a sheriff already allows him to glean a lot of information from the Penguin.

So there's absolutely no need to pretend to be Batman.

He would only put on that suit and shift the blame to Batman if there was an emergency that would violate America's laws.

After all, he has a bright future ahead of him, and he would only use the identity of Chief Bailang to do some illegal and criminal things if he was well-fed.

Bai Lang is a law-abiding citizen!

"Thank you for the promotion, Chief." Bai Lang nodded. "Put Ryan under my command, and then assign me four officers, two men and two women."

A sheriff can supervise up to fifteen officers. If there is a major case, a major crime unit or special task force can be established, which can then supervise even more officers.

But Bai Lang doesn't need that many people, since he's basically familiar with all the criminals in Gotham.

Aside from a few particularly formidable opponents, most people are no match for his overwhelming strength.

Not to mention that his current electric current has already reached 155,000 volts, and he is only 45,000 volts away from completely stopping a bullet.

What criminals in Gotham will be able to stop them then?

Gordon was taken aback. Seeing that Bai Lang only wanted a few people, he couldn't help but ask, "Is this enough? You'll be in charge of a large area. Are five people really enough?"

"Um, may I ask which area I'm in charge of?" Bai Lang asked, seeing his expression.

I wonder if I'll gain any power points if I tell this hellish joke in front of the real Batman, Bruce Wayne.

"Your jurisdiction period is three years. If the crime rate on Park Street drops significantly during these three years, I will grant you special permission to return and promote you to the rank of superintendent."

Before he could make a decision, Chief Gordon placed the files of several officers assigned to him in front of him.

"These will be your officers from now on. If you need more later, you can ask me for more."

"But don't be like that guy Mark. They are your colleagues and your subordinates. You must be responsible for their lives."

The second floor of the Iceberg Club.

This is Oswald Penguin's official nightclub, a legitimate business establishment.

But in reality, it was the residence of his gang members. The first basement level was a casino, the second basement level was a secret meeting room, and below that was an armory.

“I’m in a bad mood today, Oswald. You’d better tell me everything you know.”

Bai Lang sat on the sofa, staring coldly at the short, stout penguin-like figure opposite him.

The surrounding lights were dim, but Bai Lang could still see clearly that there were several burly men standing behind the other party.

But he wasn't alone; he had five fully armed subordinates whom Chief Gordon had just assigned to him.

“Uh… this…” Penguin Oswald looked at the police officers behind Bai Lang with a somewhat unpleasant expression.

"Chief White, I really don't know why that 'Catwoman' kidnapped you, let alone where that mercenary called Deathstroke is."

What do you take him for, the penguin?

The newly appointed police chief came to his Iceberg Club to give him attitude.

And then there's Catwoman, who was only asked to knock the other person unconscious and bring them over, but she ended up getting captured herself.

Incompetent bungler!

If I had known better, I would have grabbed her first and raped her.

Seeing that he refused to speak, Bai Lang pulled out his sidearm from his waist and slammed it on the table.

How about this?

Oswald the Penguin glanced at the police gun on the table, then at Bai Lang.

His face was gloomy, and a fierce light flashed deep in his eyes.

"Chief Bai, you're putting me in a difficult position. I did ask that 'Catwoman' to pick you up..."

Seeing that he still refused to reveal any information about Deathstroke, Bai Lang picked up his sidearm and walked towards the Penguin.

"Don't move!" When the Penguin's henchman saw Bai Lang about to take out his gun and step forward, his expression changed immediately, and he was about to pull out his gun from his pocket.

Ryan, standing behind Bai Lang, immediately drew his gun. He would shoot to save Bai Lang if there was any unusual movement on the other side.

Penguin watched helplessly as Bai Lang walked up to him and placed the pistol in his hand.

"Are you trying to frame me?"

Penguin immediately knew what Bai Lang was up to: putting a gun on himself to frame him!

"Towards me."

"Is this better?"

Bai Lang remained expressionless, pointing to the police officers behind him.

The dim light shone on his face, making it difficult for the penguin to see his features clearly; he could only make out the dark, deep outline of his face.

"They've started recording this now. Attacking police officers with guns, they should be locked up in Blackgate jail for at least seven or eight years..."

“Most of the judges in Gotham are my men, so what do you mean?” Oswald the Penguin’s face grew even darker.

"Yes, I say so!" Bai Lang remained expressionless and unmoved.

"Aren't you afraid I'll kill you all?" The penguin's face darkened completely, his expression twisted with malice as he threatened, "And then steal the recording?!"

He's always the one threatening others, when did it become a sheriff's turn to threaten him?

Bai Lang was not afraid of this at all. Among all the criminals in Gotham, Penguin was the one who cared most about his safety and reputation.

"The video recorder has been connected to the internet for a long time, and the recorded images have been uploaded to the police station's computer."

“Once you kill the six of us, these videos will be uploaded online and everyone will know. At that point, your status will change from criminal to terrorist.”

"In America, where you publicly assassinated multiple police officers, do you think you could survive if you became a terrorist?"

Upon hearing Bai Lang's words, a hint of fear flashed in the penguin's eyes.

Bai Lang is absolutely right.

Although he had bribed most of the police officers in the department, if news of his killing of these officers got out...

If it's posted online, then he's giving the American government a severe slap in the face.

The next day, the FBI and various special forces would raze his Iceberg Club to the ground.

This no longer falls into the category of crime, but rather constitutes terrorism.

"New City, they went to New City."

Seeing that the sheriff was determined to mess with him, the Penguin finally chickened out and told him everything he knew about Deathstroke.

"The man covered in metal armor looked like he was burned. There seems to be something at the New City Royal Hotel that can heal him."

Bai Lang nodded, removed the gun from the penguin's hand, and then led Ryan and the others away from the Iceberg Club.

The penguin stared fiercely at their departing figures.

"Boss, should we go?" The subordinate next to him immediately stepped forward and slashed his neck with his hand like a knife.

This is a gesture asking whether or not to resolve the issue of Bai Lang.

"Don't bother with him. He asked for it. Let's just wait and see what happens."

The penguin seemed to realize something, and a sinister smile gradually appeared on his face.

Now that he knew where Deathstroke was, Bai Lang prepared to get himself into the best possible condition.

He told Ryan to stay at headquarters with the four officers while he went to Gotham Forest.

"I don't know if it's just my imagination, but it seems like the plants here have become even denser..."

Looking at the lush, thriving trees around him, Bai Lang had this idea.

But none of that matters. The most important thing right now is to improve my strength and then get enough power points from Deathstroke to raise my electric current driving power to 20 volts.
