"It's in effect!"

The door slid open slowly to both sides, revealing a dark passageway inside.

Ye Sheng and Jiu Deya exchanged a glance, adjusted their breathing, and swam in.

The screen switched to the view from the helmet camera, making the light in the narrow passageway appear even dimmer. The reliefs on the walls were so lifelike, they seemed ready to come to life at any moment.

“The design here,” Shudeya said in a low voice, “is like a maze.”

Professor Mans stared at the screen, his brow furrowed: "Maintain uninterrupted communication. Place a signal beacon every ten meters."

Lu Mingfei couldn't help but lean closer to the screen: "Seniors, be careful!"

Ye Sheng chuckled: "Don't worry, we're professionals."

As Ye Sheng and Jiu Deya delved deeper, the transmitted images became increasingly blurry, and the signal became intermittent. Professor Mans continuously adjusted the channel to ensure stable communication.

Lu Mingfei paced back and forth in the command room, restless: "How long have they been inside?"

“Forty-seven minutes,” Frillie said, glancing at her watch.

"So long?!" Lu Mingfei scratched his head. "I hope nothing bad has happened."

Professor Mans scoffed, "Execution Department missions often take several hours. Be patient."

Lu Mingfei sighed and plopped down in a chair.

Frillie handed him a cup of hot coffee: "Have something to drink and calm down."

Lu Mingfei took the cup and said with a wry smile, "Right now, my mind is filled with horror movie plots, like the signal suddenly being cut off, or the camera capturing something it shouldn't be capturing."

Frillie glanced at him indifferently: "Watch less movies."

Lu Mingfei: "Sigh, never mind."

Professor Mans spoke up: "Frilian, the headmaster said your Word of Power is 'Magician,' could you explain the specific effects?"

Frilian paused for a moment: "My Word of Power leans towards analysis and reconstruction, similar to understanding the essence of something and then replicating it."

Professor Mans seemed thoughtful: "So, you can understand complex structures?"

"Theoretically, it's possible if it's a rule-based system."

Lu Mingfei blinked: "Frilian, you have this ability?"

Frillie gave a soft "hmm": "Provided there is enough information."

Just then, a piercing static came through the communicator, followed by the rapid breathing of Shudeya: "Professor! We triggered the mechanism! Ye Sheng and I have been separated!"

The screen shook violently, and the camera showed that Shudeya was standing in a huge hall with dense gears and engravings on the walls.

"Aki! What's the situation on your end?" Ye Sheng's voice came from another direction, indicating that they were clearly separated into different areas.

“The room I’m in seems to be a dwelling,” said Shudeaki, trying to steady her breathing. “There’s a huge map on the wall.”

Professor Mans immediately ordered, "Send the map back!"

A few seconds later, a 3D map appeared on the screen, resembling a miniature city.

“This is a diagram of the internal structure of Baidi City,” Professor Mans quickly analyzed, “but we need to decipher it to find the passage.”

Lu Mingfei stared at the map, his scalp tingling: "This thing is quite complicated."

Frillie stepped forward: "Let me try."

She closed her eyes and gently touched the screen with her fingertips.

A few seconds later, her "Word of Power" quietly activated, and the analytical abilities possessed by the millennium-old mage began to operate, gradually forming a clear impression of the chaotic map in her mind.

“Found it.” She opened her eyes and pointed to a corner of the map. “Go from here, go around the three pipes, and then go down. You can reach Senior Ye Sheng’s location.”

Professor Mans immediately relayed the route to Jiudeya.

Following the instructions, Shudeya operated the mechanism, and the gears slowly turned, opening a hidden door in front of her.

"It worked!" she exclaimed in delight. "Frilian, you're amazing!"

Lu Mingfei stared in disbelief: "Frilian, did you just use a X-ray vision cheat?"

Frillie glanced at him: "That's called analytical ability."

Lu Mingfei: "...Fine, you're good."

Following the route indicated by Frilian, Shudeya quickly reunited with Ye Sheng. The two thanked Frilian via communication and continued their exploration deeper into the area.

Lu Mingfei breathed a long sigh of relief and slumped into his chair: "At least everything is alright now."

Professor Mans remained serious: "Don't relax, they haven't found their target yet."

Frillie gazed at the screen and said softly, "This city is alive."

Lu Mingfei was taken aback: "What?"

“The gears are turning, the pipes are vibrating,” Frillie said, a hint of alarm flashing in her eyes. “The city is breathing.”

Ye Sheng's voice came again, "Professor, I think we've found it."

On the screen, a medium-sized bone graft bottle floats quietly in the water.

Chapter 21 White Emperor City (Part 2)

In the deepest part of Baidi City, the water flows still as if time has frozen.

Ye Sheng and Jiu Deyaji floated in the huge palace, with a pitch-black bone jar in front of them.

"This is the egg of the King of Bronze and Fire?" Shudeya trembled slightly.

Ye Sheng slowly reached out, his fingertips touching the bottle. An indescribable pressure emanated from the water, as if a pair of eyes were watching him in the darkness.

He abruptly withdrew his hand and whispered, "Be careful, this thing is alive."

Shudeya nodded, took out a specially made storage device from the equipment department from her waist, and carefully secured the bone vial.

As they prepared to return, Ye Sheng's helmet spotlight swept across a corner of the side hall and paused: "Wait, Aki, look over there."

The light illuminated a half-open door, behind which was a well-preserved room.

A tea set was placed on a low table, with dried tea stains still remaining in the teacups; two Han-style longswords stood in the corner, their scabbards wrapped with faded silk; a silk painting hung on the wall, depicting two young men standing side by side, one as majestic as a king, the other as gentle as jade.

"What is this?" Shudeya Yu approached, his fingertips lightly touching the low table. "Did someone ever live here?"

Ye Sheng was silent for a moment, then said in a low voice, "It's not a human, it's a dragon."

Inside the command center of the Moniach, everyone stared at the images being transmitted back.

“This is not right,” Professor Mans said, staring intently at the screen. “The records of Norton, the King of Bronze and Fire, never mention that he had any companions.”

Lu Mingfei scratched his head: "Uh, maybe they have a good friend?"

Frilian spoke up: "Not friends, brothers."

Everyone looked at her.

Her emerald eyes gazed at the silk painting, and she said softly, "There are two tea sets, two longswords, and the two people in the painting look alike. They are brothers who live here."

Professor Mans' pupils contracted slightly: "You mean, the King of Bronze and the King of Fire are twins?"

“Very likely,” Frilian nodded. “And these two brothers have a very good relationship.”

An uproar erupted in the command room.

"That's impossible!" one researcher exclaimed. "How could the Dragon King possibly have family ties? They are monsters with immense power!"

Frillie calmly retorted, "Can't monsters have families?"

Lu Mingfei muttered to himself, "Exactly, even the monsters in Ultraman know how to protect their little monsters."

Professor Mans took a deep breath: "If this is true, then our understanding of dragons will be completely overturned."

With a crackling sound, Baidi City began to tremble.

"Professor!" Ye Sheng's voice was broken, "White Emperor City is shaking; something has awakened!"

The next second, the entire underwater scene shook violently, and a deafening dragon roar came from afar, even causing the Moniah to tremble slightly.

"Damn it!" Professor Mans jumped to his feet. "It's a secondary species! Ye Sheng, Aki, evacuate immediately!"

Underwater, Ye Sheng and Jiu Deyaji swam desperately toward the exit, when they heard a loud crash as the wall collapsed behind them.

Shudeya looked back and felt a chill run through her body.

A gigantic black shadow swam from the depths of Baidi City, its golden eyes igniting in the water, melting everything in its path!

"Hurry up!" Ye Sheng grabbed her, and the two of them frantically swung their flippers.

But it was too late.

The dragon servant's speed far exceeded that of humans, and in the blink of an eye, it had closed to within a hundred meters.

On the Moniach, everyone was deathly pale.

"Prepare the escape pods!" Professor Mance roared. "Release them immediately!"

"It's too late!" the operator cried out in despair. "They're still 300 meters from the exit, and the Dragon Servant can catch up in just five seconds!"

Lu Mingfei clenched his fists so tightly that his nails dug into his palms.

Are they going to die? Senior Ye Sheng and Senior Aki were just discussing marriage a moment ago.

He looked at Frilian: "Frilian, you have a way, don't you?"

Frilian paused for a moment, then nodded gently: "Yes."

"Please save them!"

Frilian took a deep breath, closed her eyes, clasped her hands together in front of her chest, and began to chant an ancient incantation.

A pale green halo flowed from her fingertips, outlining a magic circle in the air.

"Is this your Word of Power?" Professor Mans had never seen such a Word of Power before.

“‘Magic to go where you want to go’.” Frillie opened her eyes, locked onto Ye Sheng and Aki’s location, and estimated how much magic power it would consume, “It can instantly teleport them to a safe location.”

Underwater, Ye Sheng and Jiu Deya could already feel the heat wave coming from behind them.

Is it over? Shudeya closed her eyes.
