"Mr. Isaac!" Violet couldn't help but want to run over, but the airflow was too strong and she couldn't get through at all.

However, a few seconds later, the airflow stopped, and the lightning in the formation gradually disappeared.

The warehouse stopped shaking, and the previously turbulent Roswell calmed down.

"Mr. Isaac! Are you alright!" Violet couldn't hold back any longer and rushed over to help Isaac, whose mouth was bleeding.

"Finally... I succeeded... Hahahaha!!" Isaac couldn't help but burst into laughter.

noon the next day.

"Manager, please give me a bottle of cream, four eggs, a packet of bacon, a bag of pepper, and a bag of noodles."

This was Violet's first time running errands; she took the list Isaac had written for her and went to the town's store to buy some ingredients.

"Okay, just a moment, I'll go get it for you." The shopkeeper ran to the side to get the things Violet had mentioned. "Not bad, little girl, are you going back to make creamy bacon pasta?"

"Yes."

"By the way, little girl, a strong wind suddenly blew up here last night. Did it scare you?" the shopkeeper asked Violet while holding some items.

Violet: "I can feel it."

"Haha, that strong wind was a bit scary. Lots of animals came out and roared in the same direction." As he spoke, the shopkeeper had already packed everything up. "Here you go, young lady, here are the ingredients you wanted."

After Violet paid and left the store, on her way back she still heard the townspeople talking about what happened the night before.

"The storm last night was terrifying!"

"Yes, the children at home have been crying."

"so horrible!"

Yesterday, the natural phenomena caused by Isaac's alchemy became the talk of the town. After all, the town had always been sunny and peaceful, and the sudden storm, which resembled the end of the world, still gave the people here a fright.

Violet ignored them and carried the groceries she had bought back to Oscar's house.

"Mr. Oscar, the ingredients have been purchased."

"Oh, thank you for your hard work, Violet. I'll make lunch. You go and look after Mr. Isaac for a while." Oscar took the ingredients and pointed to the room where Isaac was.

Violet nodded and walked over.

At this time.

In Isaac's guest room.

"Big brother, would you like some water?"

"Big brother, let me peel an apple for you."

"Big brother..."

I, the 'doctor,' have collapsed, but the 'patient' seems to be in good spirits.

"Ah, thank you, Olivia... let me rest for a bit." Isaac wasn't feeling too well yet.

Isaac had been feeling weak ever since using alchemy last night, and had even coughed up blood several times. Fortunately, he managed to heal himself using alchemy before passing out.

Olivia's illness, however, has been completely cured, and her previously sickly body has returned to its healthiest state. Now she's lively and energetic.

“Okay, big brother, I’ll take care of you for the next few days.” Olivia smiled and left the room, just as Violet walked in at the same time.

Isaac could see the worry flickering in her sapphire-like eyes.

"How are you feeling, Mr. Isaac?" Violet asked as she walked to Isaac's bedside.

“It’s nothing serious. Thank you so much for getting me to my room yesterday,” Isaac said to Violet.

Yesterday, after Isaac collapsed, Violet carried him into the guest room.

That's right, he was carried in, in a princess carry, as Oscar told Isaac after he woke up.

Can you imagine a 17-year-old boy being carried into a room by a 12-year-old girl?

"No, that's not true. It's best that Mr. Isaac is safe and sound."

"Haha, but it really gave me a fright. I never expected this treatment to end up as 'human transmutation'," Isaac said with a sigh.

last night.

In the midst of a massive storm, Isaac retrieved the Philosopher's Stone and channeled its energy to repair Olivia's internal organs.

However, in the next instant...

Everything around was white.

The world suddenly went blank. Everyone around him disappeared.

All you can see is a huge door covered in patterns.

And... a white figure.

"This is your second time here, alchemist," the white figure said, a sudden grin spreading across his face.

Isaac looked at the figure without making any other expression, and greeted him naturally: "Yo~ long time no see, aren't you happy to see me?"

White figure: "..."

Isaac continued, "I never imagined that I'd end up here just to treat someone's illness."

White figure: "To heal a dying person whose internal organs are mostly failing is human transmutation? Your theoretical foundation is very poor."

"Hahahaha!! As long as the person is cured, what does it matter if the foundation is poor! My theory is correct! This disease can indeed be treated this way!!" Isaac suddenly burst into laughter.

“You’re the craziest person to have ever come here,” the white figure laughed. “You’re really interesting. Most people would only need to come once, but you’ve come twice.”

“So what if it’s twice? Maybe I’ll come back a few more times.” Isaac stopped laughing and asked the white figure in front of him, “So, ‘Truth,’ what’s the ‘ticket’ this time?”

The white figure is the 'truth' that alchemists often talk about, and some also call it 'God'.

That enormous door is the door to truth.

"Is this really a good idea? You might lose a part of your body."

"Whatever! Since I promised to cure her, I absolutely cannot allow myself to fail!" Isaac still wore a somewhat manic smile.

'Truth' suddenly burst into laughter: "I've accepted your ticket! Goodbye, you mad alchemist!"

After he finished speaking, the door to truth opened.

A flood of information rushed into Isaac's mind.

This pure white space also collapsed.

Inside the warehouse.

"Cough!" Isaac coughed up a mouthful of blood.

"Mr. Isaac, are you alright?" Violet quickly helped Isaac up and asked anxiously.

"Finally... I succeeded... Hahahaha!" Isaac laughed.

--------

"What an interesting discovery." Thinking about the extra knowledge in his mind, Isaac felt that his alchemy skills had reached a new level.

But then she touched her abdomen and said, "It really hurts."

To gain something, you must give something in return; this is the very core of alchemy: equivalent exchange.

"Luckily, they took the unimportant things."

This human transmutation opened the door to truth, and 'truth' took a part of his body according to the rules.

But what was taken away was—the appendix.

The appendix, along with wisdom teeth and hair, is considered a useless organ in the human body. However, Isaac's body remained weak due to the massive bleeding that occurred during its removal.

Overall, Isaac made a huge profit from this move.

"Mr. Isaac, are you alright?" Just then, Oscar walked in, looking at Isaac lying on the bed with a mixture of gratitude and guilt.

“It’s nothing serious. She should be able to get out of bed and walk around in the next day or two,” Isaac said to Oscar. “Take Olivia to the town hospital for a check-up when you have the chance.”

The test results should shock those doctors.

Chapter Twenty-Eight: New Abilities

“Okay, I’ll take her to town to see a doctor in a bit,” Oscar said quickly, but then glanced at Isaac lying on the bed and asked worriedly, “Mr. Isaac, are you really alright?”

After all, Oscar saw Isaac collapse while vomiting blood yesterday.

“I already said I’m fine.” Isaac waved his hand impatiently. “This injury is nothing compared to the wounds I usually get on the battlefield.”

"Well... please get some rest." Although she was still a little worried, she didn't ask any more questions after hearing Isaac's words. "By the way, I made lunch and will bring it to you in a bit."

"Okay, you guys go ahead and eat," Isaac said with a yawn, continuing to lie on the bed like a salted fish. He glanced at Violet, who hadn't left yet, and added, "You go and eat too."

"Yes." After saying that, she went to the living room with Oscar and closed the door when they left.

After everyone left, Isaac slowly closed his eyes. In fact, Isaac had felt something was wrong ever since he woke up.

I could almost tell where the people dining in the living room were sitting, even with my eyes closed. I could sense an energy emanating from them.

And the fluctuations that keep coming up from the ground.

“Something’s not right. What is this feeling?” Isaac didn’t understand what was going on with him. “This is definitely not the work of ‘Truth’. What is going on?”

Isaac kept his eyes closed, trying to sense the information his surroundings were conveying to him.

He sensed someone leaving their seat and coming to his room door.

“Olivia, are you outside?” Isaac asked tentatively.

"Huh, how did you know, big brother?" The door slowly opened, and Olivia stood outside with a creamy bacon pasta in her hand, looking on with curiosity.

“Just a guess,” Isaac said casually.

"Olivia, is there something you need here?"

"Big brother can't get out of bed right now, so it must be inconvenient for him to eat."

"Hmm...that's true." It's not that I can't eat it, but my abdomen starts to hurt whenever I move. Although the appendix isn't a vital part, it's still quite painful to have it forcibly removed.
