"Where?"
Benson immediately stood up and looked out the window, only to find that there was no one there except for the car parked outside. Inside the room, there was only George and a twelve-year-old child.
Where is your boss?
“Right in front of you,” George said, pointing to Isaac sitting next to him.
"Are you kidding me?"
Benson stared wide-eyed at Isaac.
The person in front of me looks like a minor, probably not even graduated from elementary school. What does George mean by pointing at him?
"He is the boss."
Isaac extended his hand to him as well. "Hello, my name is Isaac, George's boss."
"..."
Benson didn't step forward to shake hands, but instead stared blankly at the boy.
He looked at George with displeasure. "If you want to play a trick on me, you'd better pick a suitable holiday, like April Fool's Day or something."
“I’m not kidding you, this is the truth,” George said, shrugging.
Isaac withdrew his hand, looked at Benson in front of him and smiled, "George told me about you before, a former Marine who killed civilians in the Vietnam War but escaped punishment, and then lost his job after the war ended, am I right?"
"Kid, what good will it do you to know all this?" Benson said viciously.
His expression, combined with his muscular physique, was enough to scare a small child to tears.
However, Isaac didn't mind and laughed, "To be honest, I really admire people like you. My team needs members who dare to go all out, after all, we're not doing any legitimate business."
"Huh? Kid, are you and that old man George here to mess with me today?" Benson sneered. "Even if I were stupid, I wouldn't believe that a kid like you is a boss."
"Then your imagination is indeed not rich enough, and you haven't seen much of the world."
Snapped!
"Listen!"
Benson slammed his hand on the table, bringing his fierce face close to Isaac's.
"If you were just here to mess with me, I might play along, but unfortunately, I'm not in a good mood right now. Get out of here!" he roared.
He hoped this would scare the annoying brat away, but Isaac showed no fear whatsoever; instead, he laughed:
"I could tell you were in a bad mood, but the important thing is that I'm in a very good mood right now."
"Fuck!"
Enraged, Benson pulled a revolver from his pocket and pointed it at Isaac's head.
"Kid, if you don't want to..."
boom!
A bullet whizzed past Benson’s cheek, leaving a hole in the wall behind him and a bloody gash on his face.
Feeling the pain and burning sensation on his face, he was horrified to discover that his pistol had somehow appeared in Isaac's hand.
"How...how did you do that?"
"Then will you join my team?" Isaac asked with a smile.
Benson paused for a moment, then looked at George, whose face clearly showed 'I knew it', with a wry smile.
"Your boss is indeed extraordinary."
“Yes, but I’m used to it,” George laughed.
Benson looked at Isaac again and said seriously, "Kid, while you are indeed very capable, which I greatly admire, but to ask me to join your team is still..."
Snapped!
Isaac threw a wad of cash onto the table from his pocket.
"Monthly salary of US$20,000, bonuses not included."
"boss!!"
With this, Isaac had gained another employee.
----------
"Boss, what are your plans next? Murder or robbery?"
After agreeing to join Isaac's team, Benson addressed him as "boss" very affectionately.
After packing up his belongings, he grabbed a rifle and a pistol and set off with George and Isaac.
Money makes the world go round, let alone an unemployed person.
“We need to recruit more people. I need to train my own armed forces.” Isaac looked at Benson and asked, “Do you know any veterans? Preferably former Green Berets or Delta Force veterans.”
"Boss, even if those people retire, they'll be recruited as military advisors or bodyguards. It's no use for me to know them."
“Forget it then,” Isaac said to George, who was driving, “Let’s find a few more people and go abroad to cause trouble.”
Chapter 511: Large-Scale Transaction
Two months later.
The Huayacá Valley is a beautiful valley located between Peru and Colombia.
This valley is covered with a large amount of coca, a plant that is usually used by Native Americans for medicine or beverages. However, when this plant falls into the hands of Colombians, it is used to make cocaine.
When it comes to Colombia, the country's social structure can be described as quite distorted.
The nearly forty-year-long struggle between the government and local revolutionary forces led to widespread poverty and hardship, compounded by the country's large number of gangs and drug lords. At its peak, 75% of the world's drugs originated from this country.
Now, Isaac and twelve fully armed men are standing in this valley.
After finding Benson, Isaac recruited five former Marines and five former Army engineers within a week.
These soldiers are warriors who have been tempered by blood and fire on the battlefield, and they will indeed be useful for future development.
They all share a common characteristic: they have all turned over a new leaf and are all eager to return to the battlefield to experience the carnage once again.
Some people are destined to be inseparable from weapons; perhaps this is a kind of mental illness.
It has been more than a month since the personnel were assembled.
"Gentlemen, we are here in Colombia to conduct arms deals with the local military. This may not seem like much compared to the wars you have experienced, but I still hope you will not let your guard down."
"Yes, boss!"
“Good. Now, arrange your ‘toys’ according to my previous instructions.” Isaac finished speaking and looked at George. “What did Wilson say?”
“He just had someone contact me and said we could go over to make the deal,” George said, “but we’re only allowed to bring three people.”
They're quite cautious.
“Okay, George and Benson and I will go over there. The rest of you do as I say. Now dismissed.”
Everyone picked up their bags and got busy.
They still didn't quite trust this boss, but people can be faked, but money can't. When Isaac approached them with a large sum of money, they had no reason to refuse.
After everyone left, George stepped forward and whispered in Isaac's ear, "Boss, this deal could be dangerous. Our deal with the government forces will not only attract the gangs, but also bring the FARC (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia) over."
“Of course I know there’s danger, otherwise the profits wouldn’t be so high,” Isaac laughed.
He showed no concern about the operation.
"OK then."
----------
The transaction took place on the Colombian border, where an army was stationed. Due to the long-standing unrest in the region, domestic weapons supplies may be running out, leading some officers to seek assistance from arms dealers.
The area was surrounded by soldiers with guns, who all became menacing when they saw Isaac and his group arrive.
"Halt! Who are you?" A soldier blocked Isaac and his men's path.
"Tell your General Barr that the shipment he ordered has arrived."
"Hold on."
After hearing Isaac's words, the soldier immediately knew who the visitor was. After saying goodbye, he hurriedly returned to find his superior officer.
Before long, a burly middle-aged officer came up to Isaac.
"Hello, may I ask which of you is Isaac?"
“Me,” Isaac said.
"what?"
General Barr was taken aback when he saw Isaac; a twelve-year-old boy had come to them to complete an arms deal?
After contacting Wilson, he learned that a boss of his was eager to do a big business deal with him. He wondered what kind of important person his boss was who would travel all the way to this dangerous region to complete the transaction with them.
I never expected it to be a child.
"As the general said, I have already arranged for someone to transport ten million 7.62mm intermediate-power rounds to you. As agreed, you need to pay me fifty million US dollars."
“Yes, of course,” Barr quickly replied. “Where is the goods?”
"There."
Isaac pointed behind him, where dozens of trucks were parked side by side. These were all brought by local rental companies that Wilson had contacted to unload the goods.
Upon hearing this, General Barr quickly went to check.
Sure enough, wooden crates lay quietly inside the truck, filled with countless bullets.
"Where did you get so many bullets?" He was more shocked to see the cargo than to see Isaac as a twelve-year-old boy.
After all, even large arms suppliers need to pool their resources from several companies to procure these munitions.
“You don’t need to worry about that, it’s not the US government anyway,” Isaac said with a smile.
In fact, these bullets came from a supplier that Isaac had previously contacted, located in Albania, where the former Soviet Union had stockpiled a large amount of munitions, but after the collapse of the Soviet Union, no one transported these things back.
This allowed Isaac to build a cheap one.
Ten million rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, after deducting the middleman's markup, would only amount to about two and a half million US dollars. Including shipping costs, it would only add another fifty thousand US dollars.
