It wasn't until 8:30 that Hagrid led the first-year students to the castle.

For this new batch of students, Hogwarts prepared nearly fifty extra small boats... This damned ceremony of the new students retracing the founder's path!

Yes, all of the above happened because the number of first-year students exploded this year.

Poppy's Magic-Boosting Potion truly benefited the wizarding world. Families that could afford it began administering the potion to their Squibs.

As a result, there are 193 new students who transferred from the Squib this year... that's equivalent to several grades (Rowling said Hogwarts has around a thousand students, I don't believe her nonsense, what does Rowling know about Harry Potter?).

Poppy had already had her house-elf serve the food by 5:30. She wasn't the type to wait around and starve, but she also wouldn't eat alone.

All the professors had already eaten, but given the current number of new students, they could have another late-night snack after the orientation ceremony.

After Professor McGonagall finished explaining the start-of-school matters at twice her usual pace, she hurriedly began the Sorting Ceremony.

Even the Sorting Hat didn't sing this year—he's getting old, and he's been waiting since the afternoon; he must be tired.

This year's freshmen have the widest age range, with the oldest being around thirty years old, aside from Filch.

But the most eye-catching one was no longer the heartthrob Ginny Weasley, but a blonde woman in her late twenties.

This woman had long, wavy hair, a curvaceous figure, and a beautiful, delicate face with deep, affectionate blue eyes. With just one glance, she could make half of the male students at Hogwarts fall for her.

Even Bobby, who was constantly bombarded with Jady's beauty, couldn't help but take a few more glances.

“Jeddy, I bet that person has Veela blood.”

Hermione, sitting opposite her, shook her head repeatedly. "No, I've heard that Veela half-bloods rarely produce Squibs."

Jady stood out among the group of Gryffindors; she was still somewhat reserved, simply nodding in agreement with Hermione's point of view.

"Okay, okay, you're right. As expected of our top student, it seems you're ready to take first place in the grade again."

Hermione smiled smugly: "What, are you still angry that I took first place from you last year?"

Bobby waved her hand dismissively: "Forget it, who cares about that?" Everyone around her looked at Bobby. Who didn't know that Bobby had been depressed for a whole week after her exam results came out last semester?

She continued, "Anyway, I don't have any classes this year, and I'm too lazy to study, so I guess you'll still be number one."

Jady stared wide-eyed at Bobby. Although she had no proof, she suspected that Bobby was saying it on purpose, as if she was setting a flag for Hermione.

Hermione confidently raised her head, "Even if you've studied, I'm not afraid."

Jady shook her head inwardly. Bobby had grown taller, and so had she become cunning. Hermione was still too young; she didn't even know she was cursed.

The division of departments finally began on stage.

"Flo Abbot!"

Slytherin!

“Galson Abbott!”

Slytherin!

"Norman Avery!"

Slytherin!

…………

"Argus Filch!"

The entire hall erupted in uproar! Who among the students of Hogwarts didn't know Filch?

Hufflepuff!

…………

"Steve Longbottom!"

Slytherin!

"Luna Lovegood!"

"Ravenclaw!"

A round of applause erupted from the audience. Perhaps these Squibs had been suppressed for too long, each harboring ambitions to rise above others, and since they all came from pure-blood families, they were almost all assigned to Slytherin House.

Therefore, junior wizards assigned to other colleges are so precious that they are warmly welcomed by their seniors.

…………

"Matilda Rozier!"

As Professor McGonagall registered, the boy with long, golden hair who looked about fifteen or sixteen years old stepped forward.

“So her name is Matilda Rozier,” Bobby said. “She’s a real beauty.”

Seeing that Bobby's eyes were practically glued to her chest, Jady said with a hint of amusement, "What's so interesting about it? It's just that she has a bit more flesh on her chest. You're not some vulgar man who would fixate on a couple of ounces of meat."

Bobby chuckled, "My dear Jade, you're not old enough yet. Wait until you've gained some weight, then I'll see how you are."

"Who's going to show you!"

On stage, Matilda Rozier had already put on the Sorting Hat.

Almost all the boys, young and old, from the four colleges were staring nervously at the stage.

Slytherin!

"Oh!!! We have Matilda!"

There was a burst of jubilation in Slytherin. Bobby glanced at Harry with a smile, leaving Harry completely bewildered.

Matilda gracefully walked toward the Slytherin table, and immediately a bunch of boys stood up to offer her their seats.

Because the Slytherin tables were already full, many freshmen had to stand. Of course, Matilda was an exception; beauties always have privileges.

…………

“Ginny Weasley!”

The Sorting Hat muttered, "Oh, another Weasley."

"S..." Slytherin almost blurted out the Sorting Hat after shouting it too much, but he managed to pull back from the brink. But that one syllable gave Percy, George, Fred, and Ron quite a fright.

"Gryffindor!"

A loud bang echoed across the Gryffindor table, and George and Fred even gave themselves a "loud voice": "Our most beautiful little sister has come to Gryffindor!"

There were three or four more new students after that, and the entire Sorting Ceremony was not over until Mobley Yaxley was sorted into Slytherin.

It was already 9:30 p.m., and the little wizards were all starving.

"It's the start of a new school year," Dumbledore said, standing up. "It's getting late, so I won't waste any more time. Two things."

"First, the Dark Forest, also known as the Forbidden Forest, remains off-limits to students!"

“Secondly, we have a new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor,” Dumbledore said, pointing to Lockhart. The peacock immediately stood up; he had been waiting all night for this magnificent debut.

"Yes, you should have heard of him, he is Gilderoy Lockhart."

Lockhart wanted to give a speech, but Dumbledore didn't give him the chance. "Alright, that's all I had to say. You may all enjoy your meal!"

"Idiot, crybaby, crumb, wring it out!"

Bobby felt instantly fulfilled; the lines Old Deng forgot to say last semester, he finally got to say this year!

Lockhart, however, seemed somewhat at a loss on stage. Dumbledore had already sat down, and food had appeared on the long table. Everyone began to wolf down their food, with only a few loyal fans still applauding him.

Hermione Granger was one of them; she stood there clapping enthusiastically, like a devoted fan.

"This girl is beyond saving." ×2

This is a rant from my best friend.

Of course, Hogwarts was still quite humane; even the little snakes without seats were given tables and chairs. Keen-eyed Bobby immediately recognized them as the tables and chairs from the Potions classroom… Could there be something ominous left on them?

The meal ended quickly, and before Dumbledore could announce the end of the opening banquet, the group of freshmen who had just shed their Squirrel status came to Poppy's side as if they had planned it all along.

More than 190 people stood there in neat rows, then suddenly bowed to Bobby and said, "Thank you, Miss!"

Bobby was completely bewildered by this. "What... is this?"

Matilda stepped forward and gave her a big hug. Although Bobby had grown taller, she was sitting up now!

And so, for the first time in her life, Bobby truly understood what facial cleanser meant. Next to her, Jady gritted her teeth in anger, instinctively patting her chest.

Matilda released Bobby and said with a smile, "Young lady, you created the Magic Activation Potion, which is a lifesaver for us!"

Bobby knew perfectly well what her potion represented, but she was rather disappointed that she hadn't held him a little longer.

Chapter 53 Let Lockhart fly first.

Breakfast time on the first day of school.

Snape plans to have breakfast in the Great Hall today.

The house-elves could certainly deliver breakfast to his office, but his tutor daughter wasn't doing any classes this semester. If Snape didn't take the time to keep an eye on her during his meal, he might not even see her again later.

He noticed many female students walking and eating while grumbling, which puzzled him greatly. When he arrived at the Great Hall, the atmosphere became even more bizarre. He saw that the long table in Ravenclaw was surrounded by a densely packed group of young men.

The male student's center is three young girls.

Bobby is in the center, and his obedient daughter is happily eating, completely oblivious to the men around her. It's like a drop of water blending into the ocean—they're all the same kind, so let them watch if they want.

To her left was Jade Indigo, who was already too shy to eat. This Ravenclaw star student would occasionally glare at Matilda Rozier, who was sitting to Bobby's right.

Snape knew this girl named Matilda very well. She was Rosier from France, not Rosier from England; clearly, the French side was the main family, and the English side was a branch. Even if the French girl from the main family had been a Squib before, now that her magic had been restored, she should naturally go to Beauxbatons for lessons.

But she did come to Hogwarts and showed unusual intimacy with her own precious child, which made Snape more vigilant.

What made him feel ashamed and indignant was that nearly three-quarters of the male students sitting at the Ravenclaw table were wearing Slytherin uniforms!

Half the people were looking at Bobby with devotion, another half were staring at Matilda Rozier with fascination, and some were stealing glances at Jadi Indigo.

"What are you doing?" Snape stormed up to the Ravenclaw table.

The little snakes of Slytherin were so frightened that they stood up.

“You’re all like bulls in August!” Snape’s tone was harsh, but his pace remained unhurried and rhythmic, putting immense pressure on the snakes.

"Hmph, with your brains that are empty except for girls, you probably don't know what a bull in August is! Now let me tell you, it's a bull in heat!"
