The King of Flags at Hogwarts

The monster roared and swam towards the three of them.

A beam of red light shot out from behind the three of them, knocking the monster back two meters.

"You beast! What are you doing!"

Hearing the familiar voice, Jady quickly turned around. It was her brother from the Li family!

Harry turned around too, because at that moment, the scar on his forehead started to hurt again!

The monster shook its head, somewhat confused. Wasn't my master telling me to kill Harry Potter? Why is he stopping me now?

It looked towards the water curtain. The aura there was definitely its master, but something seemed a little different.

It looked away, but through the curtain of water and steam, its gaze met Hermione's horrified eyes.

Li Xiaoxiang strode forward, shielding Jady behind her, and made a hissing sound. Jady didn't understand what it meant, but Harry heard it clearly.

The basilisk crawled back into the pipe through the gap in the ceiling and disappeared in a short while.

Li Xiaoxiang then turned around and carefully checked Jie Di from head to toe. Seeing that Jie Di was really alright, she was relieved.

"Brother Li, you've arrived."

"Yes, it's a good thing I was at Hogwarts today, otherwise it would have been troublesome."

"But how could there be such a terrifying monster in Hogwarts?"

Chapter 57 The New Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor

McGonagall glanced at Snape; the destruction here was clearly not something a second-year wizard could have caused.

"What's going on here?" In her hand was a small wooden sign that read, "Pipeline under repair ahead, please detour."

Harry ignored Snape and answered Professor McGonagall, "A monster just fell down from above and attacked us."

Harry pointed to the large hole in the ceiling, where stone fragments were floating upwards, gradually filling the hole, while the damaged water pipes were almost back to normal. "And then Hermione somehow ended up like this."

McGonagall and Snape then noticed Hermione, who had been petrified.

The short-statured Flitwick and the obese Sprouse arrived just as the two men were about to arrive.

"Quickly, quickly call Headmaster Dumbledore here!"

"Minerva, I've arrived."

He hesitated for a moment, then sighed. Appearance didn't matter; her health was the most important thing.

Professor McGonagall asked anxiously, "Albus, what's wrong with Hermione?"

"Clearly, she was petrified; it was a very powerful form of black magic."

"What kind of monster can turn people to stone?"

Dumbledore glanced at Harry, who was eavesdropping nearby, and said, "I'm not entirely sure, but this level of petrification should be treatable with a resurrection potion made from mandrake."

"Madam Pomfrey, do we still have any mandrake in stock?"

Madam Pomfrey rolled her eyes at Dumbledore and replied irritably, "No, that's all!"

They used to call me Bobby affectionately, but ever since Bobby Evans came to school, the principal has started calling me Pomfrey, just like everyone else. And Minerva is just as awful! Am I not worthy to be called Bobby?

Dumbledore, of course, was unaware of Madam Pomfrey's resentment. He turned to Professor Sprouse and asked, "Pomona, do you have mandrake there?"

Sprouse replied, "Yes, it is, but it has only just been planted. It won't be ready until March of next year."

"So our Miss Granger looks like she'll be Sleeping Beauty for months to come."

Snape, McGonagall, and Flitwick all glared at Dumbledore.

It took the old man a while to realize that their three precious goddaughters were no longer Sleeping Beauty.

Old Deng awkwardly touched his nose and stiffly changed the subject: "Let me introduce you, this is Gail Depp, our new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor."

Li Xiaoxiang, who was standing next to Jie Di, suddenly fixed her sharp gaze on her.

McGonagall was very curious. Judging from the resume alone, Li Xiaoxiang was obviously more suitable for the position, but since the principal had said so, as the vice principal, she couldn't say anything.

So she took the lead in welcoming, saying, "Welcome, Mr. Depp, to Hogwarts."

The sentence was in Chinese, but no one in the room understood it, including Jady.

"Bobby, how are you feeling?"

Mrs. Pomfrey roared, "Get out of my way, all of you!"

Bobby Unit 1 strode through the group of professors to the bedside, gently touched Bobby Unit 2's forehead, and asked softly, "Bobby, how are you? Can you hear me?"

“Yes, Aunt Bobby.”

Madam Pomfrey's heart melted. In all of Hogwarts, little Bobby was the best. He even knew to call her, an old Bobby, "Auntie!"

"Try opening your eyes?"

Bobby tried hard to open her eyes, but her eyelids felt as heavy as mountains. She forced them open a crack, but the light was too bright for her, so she struggled to raise her hand to shield her eyes.

After a while, she opened her eyes completely and looked at the room full of elders, feeling somewhat bewildered.

Why are you all here?

McGonagall leaned in and said, “Miss Hermione Granger has been petrified. We just brought her in.”

Bobby was startled and quickly asked, "What time is it today?"
