He and Xingge had only been dating for less than a year, wasn't it a bit too fast for them to sleep together already? Youzhen wasn't Xingge, so he didn't know what Xingge was thinking.

Does Xingge think he won't do anything out of line?

Yu Zhen didn't understand. He never considered himself a saint; sometimes he needed to relieve himself when he had been holding it in for too long. Those guys who didn't need to relax only existed in light novels, right? Those guys were practically ignoring basic bodily needs.

However, after some thought, he still couldn't figure it out. So he finally decided to let things take their course. If Xingge wasn't opposed, he would naturally agree to her request. But if Xingge didn't have that intention, he couldn't force her.

He'd been to Xingge's bedroom before; her bed was quite large, enough for two people. But Youzhen really did work out. Although it wasn't obvious when he was dressed, he was still a bit more muscular than the average Japanese guy. Would the two of them have any problems on this bed?

What are you doing standing there?

Xingge's voice came from behind him.

Yuzhen turned around and saw Xingge carrying a new quilt into the bedroom. He reached out and took the quilt, then spread it on the bed.

He had to admit he had underestimated the bed; it was just the right size for him and Xingge to lie back to back on.

Xingge slept inside, facing the wall. Youzhen slept on the outside. The air conditioner was on in the room, and the two of them, covered by their own blankets, lay back to each other.

Both of them happen to be people who like to sleep with the air conditioning on and a blanket in the summer.

Yuma isn't really used to sleeping in pajamas; it's a little uncomfortable. But since he's sleeping with Hoshika now, he definitely can't sleep naked.

Are you asleep?

Yuma heard Hoshika's voice; it seemed she wasn't asleep either.

"Not yet. Senior Xingge, are you also having trouble sleeping?"

"I can't sleep if I'm not sleepy."

After Xingge finished speaking, Youzhen didn't know what else to say. The room fell silent, with only the sound of the air conditioner blowing.

Yuma heard Hoshigo turn over, and then he felt a pair of hands reach under his blanket and tug at his pajamas. At first, Yuma was a little startled by this sudden movement in the dark.

He simply turned over on the bed, lying face to face with Xingge. Although the room was dark, his eyes had adjusted, and he saw Xingge, who was also looking at him.

He crawled under Xingge's blanket and pulled her into his arms.

Why did you suddenly crawl in here?

After Yuma hugged her, Hoshika struggled symbolically for a couple of moments and then stopped moving, resting her head on Yuma's chest.

"I was scared because it was so dark, but I felt safe hugging my senior."

"Using such a childish excuse." Xingge buried her face in Youzhen's chest, her voice muffled. "Hmph, I'll allow it, you coward."

"The senior who was willing to protect me is so brave, I like him."

"Go to sleep."

"Good~"

Without doing anything else, Xingge quickly fell asleep in Youzhen's arms.

'Am I some kind of magic cure for insomnia?'

Yuzhen looked at Xingge, who had just said she couldn't sleep but quickly fell asleep after being held by him, and gently kissed her forehead.

Sweet dreams.

……

When Xingge woke up the next morning, she didn't see Youzhen. She checked the time and it was only 5:30 in the morning. This was the first time she had woken up naturally at this time.

She assumed Yu had gone for a morning run or made breakfast, so she thought she'd get up too. But as she sat on the edge of the bed yawning, she suddenly felt like she'd kicked something. Then she realized Yu hadn't gone for a morning run or made breakfast; he'd rolled off the bed and was lying on the floor, his blanket from yesterday still wrapped around him.

Xingge just kicked Youzhen. After being accidentally kicked by Xingge, Youzhen opened his eyes in a daze and found that Xingge's foot was on the floor in front of him.

Am I still dreaming?

He thought he was still dreaming and hadn't woken up, so he closed his eyes and fell asleep again.

Xingge tried to wake him, but couldn't. Looking at Youzhen, who was still huddled under the covers, she thought that he was always the one taking care of her, so she should at least make him breakfast this morning. Besides, how hard could breakfast be? Xingge figured it shouldn't be a problem.

Yuuma was still dreaming. He dreamt he was in the kitchen teaching Hoshika how to cook, while Aunt Ijichi and the grown-up Nijika were in the living room playing with his and Hoshika's child. Boy or girl? Yuuma didn't know; in a dream, he didn't need to think about such questions. Then, he was suddenly awakened by the sound of a plate breaking.

Only then did he realize that his blanket was wrapped around him.

Although holding Xingge while sleeping last night excited him, it was still too hot for them to be close together, even with the air conditioning on. So after Xingge fell asleep, he crawled back into his own blanket.

Yuuma pulled himself out of the blankets he was wrapped in. He glanced at the bed and noticed that Hoshiga wasn't there. He walked out of the room and saw Hoshiga sweeping up the broken plates from the floor and dumping them into the trash can.

It turns out that a plate really was broken.

Xingge had just come to the kitchen and checked on her phone. She felt that a breakfast that was too simple wouldn't be presentable, and a breakfast that was too difficult for her might not be something she could make well. So she decided to make a ham and egg sandwich, since frying the egg would definitely require some skill.

She did manage to make it in the end, but as someone who was cooking for the first time, she used several bowls and plates to hold various ingredients just for this one breakfast, and then accidentally dropped one of them while washing the dishes.

After washing up, Yuzhen sat down at the dining table and looked at the sandwiches she had made. They looked quite appetizing. How could such a simple breakfast be bad? With that thought in mind, he took a bite.

She probably put too much salt in the eggs when she fried them; they're a bit salty, but it's okay, Yuu really likes them salty. The ham was a little overcooked, but it's fine, Yuu likes it a bit charred. Everything else is minor; in fact, she's done a really good job making the sandwich.

"what about the taste?"

"not bad."

Seeing his calm demeanor, Xingge picked up a sandwich and took a bite. Then she felt the same way Youzhen had just experienced. She realized her sandwich wasn't very good.

"It doesn't taste good at all."

Although it wasn't tasty, it wasn't nearly unpalatable.

"That's already pretty good." Yuzhen had finished his sandwich and threw the crumpled tissue he had just used to wipe his mouth into the trash can. "You've conveyed your kindness to me, senpai."

"Besides, you can practice cooking later. Would you like some milk?"

Yuzhen got up again to get the milk and poured a glass for Xingge as well.

Xingge finished her sandwich and then drank the milk in her cup in one go.

"I'll definitely make it even better next time."

Chapter 53: The grueling battle for Level 6 has exhausted me; I have no drafts left, so I can only fill in a little bit for now.

The sports meet will continue for another day, but there's nothing much going on anymore.

Everyone else in the class collapsed in the semi-finals on the second day, but only Yuuma, Hoshika, and Aikawa made it to the third day, where they will continue to participate in the competition.

The 1000-meter race final in Aikawa is in the morning, followed by the three-legged race final, which Hoshika and Yuuma will participate in together. Then there's the semi-final of the obstacle course race, and the final of the obstacle course race in the afternoon. After that, there's the closing ceremony, where Yuuki will give a speech as an outstanding graduate.

Yu-ma wasn't very interested in the remaining matches; he and Yu-yu were sitting in the classroom preparing their speeches.

He received a call from Yuuki as soon as he arrived at the playground this morning. Yuuki had forgotten to prepare his speech after going home yesterday and only remembered it this morning. Writing this kind of thing himself was too much of a hassle, so he dragged Yuuki over to help him.

"What on earth were you thinking yesterday?"

Yuzhen put down his pen and stretched his wrists; he had almost finished writing.

"I forgot about it while chatting with the teachers yesterday." Yu Xing chuckled and looked at Yu Zhen, then lowered her head again. "Your competition is about to start, right? I'll write the rest."

"Then I'll be going now. Don't forget what you promised me."

"I won't forget. You just wanted a Tomahawk keyboard, right? I'll get you one later."

Yuzhen had wanted a battle axe for a long time, but he had been to several music stores and still couldn't find the one he wanted.

Yuuma certainly wouldn't write a speech for someone else without some reason, so Yuuki must have given him a lot of benefits. However, it's impossible for him to exchange a keyboard for a speech; Yuuki wouldn't accept that kind of loss. He was going to Hokkaido for a study tour in a few days, and Yuuma had promised to look after the bar for him during that time, which is how he got this tomahawk.

"Kenzaki, why didn't you come to cheer me on?!"

Kenzaki Yuuma, who had just returned to the playground, heard Aikawa's shout. He had just come off the track and was covered in sweat.

Yuzhen stared at him for a while, then turned to look at Xingge and Shangcheng beside her.

"What place did this guy get?"

Fifth place.

Upon hearing the ranking, Yuma turned her head back and looked at Aikawa with disdain.

"I seem to remember there were only six people in the final."

"So, all that's missing is your share." Aikawa said with a matter-of-fact expression. "If you were here, the cheers would be even louder, and maybe I'd suddenly have a burst of energy."

"Stop making excuses for yourself, bad is bad." Youzhen walked over to Xingge, pulled her away, and said, "Let's see how it goes between the two of us."

……

After the three-legged race, Yuma and Hoshika sat with their heads down in the classroom rest area.

"Hahaha, you two are talking about me now." Aikawa was still gloating. "The two of you working together only got fourth place, but I got fifth place by myself. Looks like I'm still stronger."

"What kind of calculation method is that?" Yuzhen looked up at the guy who was taking advantage of her misfortune. "Why can you so naturally use something that can't be compared at all to calculate combat strength?"

They lost the race because the rope came undone halfway through, forcing them to stop and re-tie it, which cost them a lot of time.

"Sorry, I tied the rope too loosely."

Xingge looked at Youzhen sitting next to her and felt a little sad. This time, she had dragged Youzhen into this mess.

"It's okay, I'm always involved in these kinds of competitions."

Yuma ignored the noisy Aikawa beside him and turned to comfort Hoshika.

"Everyone makes mistakes sometimes, it's just one mistake. Besides, fourth place is pretty good, and the class gets a lot of points."

Yuzhen glanced at his phone after speaking. It was almost time; he still had to go to the semi-finals of the obstacle course race.

The first half of the race went smoothly, but after Yuzhen pulled out the slip of paper, he paused for a moment, then turned and ran toward the rest area next to the track.

"Kenzaki is running this way again." Aikawa saw Yuuma running this way again. "Could he have really drawn something weird? Like 'favorite person' or something?"

"The probability of that is quite small."

Xingge rummaged through her pockets and took out everything that Youzhen might need to borrow.

"You have so much stuff in your pockets?"

Shangcheng watched as Xingge pulled out a bunch of random things. There were things like nail clippers, a utility knife, earphones, a bag of cookies, and a small pack of tissues.

Yuma had already run back while the others were checking the items.

"Senior Xingge, please take this."

Yuma handed the note to Hoshika.
