Pokémon, Ash's art style is off!

"It's said that the experience is... cough! I mean, it's said that its physical condition is quite good!"

In the arena, Magic Masked Cat stood there, licking the pads of its front paws, its amber eyes half-closed, its gaze casually sweeping over the Abandoned Monkey.

Xiao Zhi nodded secretly.

As expected of Nemo, he recognized this Pokémon at a glance.

It's definitely stronger than the previous Sticky Dragon!

Thinking of this, Xiao Zhi spoke up first.

"Abandoned Monkey, use Cross Slash!"

He needs to find out more about this Pokémon first!

Without hesitation, the abandoned monkey rushed forward.

With his arms crossed again, two silver-gray blades, accompanied by a whooshing sound, slashed down at the chest of the Magic Masked Meow!

This attack was swift and ruthless, and the angle was extremely tricky.

The cross-shaped blade light almost completely blocked all the space for dodging from the front!

But even in this predicament, the magical masked cat simply licks its paws.

"Shadow Claw!"

Just as Nemo's voice rang out, the Magic Masked Cat also moved.

Its right claw rose, the tip drawing a dark arc in the air.

Instead of retreating, advance!

They actually went to meet the abandoned monkey!

"Whoosh—"

A very soft and crisp tearing sound rang out.

The monkey and the cat's figures touched briefly and then separated in the blink of an eye!

The abandoned monkey took two steps forward before regaining its balance.

Three fresh claw marks appeared on its chest, and its light gray fur was torn, revealing slightly reddish skin underneath.

But look at the Magic Masked Cat.

It landed lightly three meters away, its claws barely touching the water on the ground, and it was completely unharmed!

The audience erupted in uproar.

"What happened?! Did I see that right? The Abandoned Monkey missed?!"

"How did Magic Masked Cat dodge that?! The cross slash had such a large range!"

"Slow motion! Has anyone recorded a slow motion version?"

The discussions were lively, but Xiao Zhi paid no attention to them.

His gaze was fixed on the trajectory of the magical masked cat's movements, and the scene replayed in his mind frame by frame.

Just before the Abandoned Monkey's cross-shaped slash landed, the Magic Masked Cat's body seemed to blur slightly.

That blurriness wasn't a residual image produced by high-speed movement; it was as if, in that instant, it transformed into something more illusory and harder to capture.

Then the cross-shaped cleave passed right through its original position and missed.

Xiao Zhi frowned slightly.

But before she could think it through, Nemo spoke again.

"Magic Masked Cat, perform acrobatics!"

Upon receiving the command, the Magic Masked Cat swayed and leaped into the air with a light tap of its feet.

Its body flipped and twisted in the air.

Just when everyone thought it was about to land, its figure suddenly accelerated and veered in the air in a way that defied physical intuition, cutting sharply from the right side of the abandoned monkey!

The abandoned monkey's pupils contracted, and it instinctively dodged to the side, simultaneously blocking with its right elbow—

This is a muscle response honed through countless trials; even if the mind doesn't have time to judge, the body will automatically make the optimal defensive move.

"Boom!"

The claws struck each other, producing a muffled thud.

The abandoned monkey neutralized the force, but was still pushed half a step to the left.

On the other hand, Magic Masked Cat used the momentum to do another backflip, and bounced up again the moment it landed, and its second acrobatic act caught up!

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

In several consecutive clashes, the iron-gray figure and the green figure went back and forth on the field.

The speed was so fast that ordinary viewers could hardly keep up, and each collision splashed up water and mud.

Although the Abandoned Monkey's fighting skills were still superb, every defense was accompanied by an amazing ability to absorb force.

But as the Magic Masked Cat used its strange movements, the Abandoned Monkey gradually accumulated more and more wounds.

Although none of them are particularly heavy, the cumulative effect is starting to impact its movement.

However, the magical masked cat remained completely clean.

What's going on?

Musashi looked at Kojiro, his eyes filled with confusion.

"Is that cat some kind of legendary Pokémon? Forsaken even beat Goodra, how come it's getting completely overwhelmed by a cat?"

"Are you looking down on us meows?!"

Meow Meow hissed defiantly.

Even if you ask me...

Kojiro was also completely bewildered, having no idea what was happening.

In the arena, Ash followed Meowth's every move without blinking.

From raising its claws, gathering its strength, to the successful attack—he repeatedly broke down each step in his mind.

Gradually, he discovered the pattern.

Whenever they engage in close combat, the Magic Masked Cat's body undergoes an unpredictable change that causes the Abandoned Monkey's attacks to miss.

It's always using Shadow Claws!

Moreover, it's not just Shadow Claw.

During the acrobatic act just now, its body changed for a fleeting moment as it twisted in the air...

It was as if I suddenly felt a sense of lightness.

Xiao Zhi murmured to himself, as if a thread was slowly connecting all the fragments in his mind.

Magic Masked Cat is a combination of Grass and Dark types.

But the attributes it displayed in those actions clearly went beyond the scope of those two attributes!

A bold guess took shape in Xiaozhi's mind.

What if... what if its ability allowed it to temporarily change its attribute to the same attribute as the move the instant it was used?

That would explain everything!

"I understand!"

Startled, Ash suddenly looked at Nemo.

"Its characteristic is that it can change freely, right?"

Nemo paused for a moment.

"Oh, you noticed!" She scratched her head. "As expected of Ash, you noticed so quickly!"

"Baboo!"

Babu Tubo stood at Nemo's feet and nodded vigorously.

"Transformable at will... what is that?"

Someone in the audience asked a question.

"That's Magic Masked Cat's hidden ability!"

I just finished searching in the encyclopedia, and someone explained it to me...

"Simply put, it changes its attributes to match the attributes of the move the instant it is used!"

"So although that claw attack was a Shadow Claw, because of its ability to change its type freely, its attribute changed to Ghost the instant it was swung!"

"That's why it was able to dodge the attack unscathed when Forsaken's Cross Slash landed; after all, Ghost-types are immune to Fighting-type attacks!"

"The characteristics of a great supermodel!"

"How are we supposed to fight this? It's like every move it makes has an attribute advantage, so whatever move you use, it can counter you!"

"Unless you can accurately predict the gaps in its attribute changes after each attack... but that's practically impossible!"

Xiao Gang and Xiao Xia were also very worried for Xiao Zhi.

"So versatile..."

"Compared to this ability, the abilities of Pokémon in the Kanto region are like those of cavemen!"

Upon hearing this, Xiaoxia nodded.

"Ash has really run into a tough opponent this time!"

Lillie remained silent, simply watching the scene unfold. She had great confidence in Ash and Forsaken!

There is no other reason.

Gengar had played pranks on Forsaken before, but it hasn't dared to do it since it was beaten up by Forsaken in an angry state.

According to Gengar, Forsaken is an incredibly powerful creature that gets stronger the more it's fought!
