Douluo Continent: Martial Soul Pill Devouring, I am the True Path of the Tang Sect

They knew in their hearts that the teacher wasn't deliberately favoring Qin Qi, but simply because Qin Qi was young.

It's just to prevent him from running around, and besides, Qin Qi is short, so he wouldn't be easy to spot if he blended into a crowd.

After leaving Notting Academy, the group did not head out of the city, but instead went to the Notting City Spirit Hall.

The dean led everyone in testing their soul power, and then they received the Soul Hunter Token from the Spirit Hall.

Finally, the Soul Hunter's Token was handed over to the team leader, who then led Qin Qi and the others to the Soul Hunter's Forest.

"Damn it, so you're not going? It's just a formality!"

"As expected, you can't see the principal's personality normally; you can only see it during speeches."

Qin Qi mentally grumbled inwardly.

Led by their teacher, the group boarded a carriage and headed to the Soul Hunter Forest, arriving in no time.

Outside the Soul Hunter Forest, many people were shouting, looking for teams to join, and others were selling items.

The teacher led everyone to the door and showed the guard the Soul Hunting Token in his hand.

He then led everyone into the Soul Hunting Forest, where they began their soul hunting activities.

……

"Alright, everyone, start looking for a suitable soul beast. Once you find one, tell your teacher, and then hunt for soul beasts under your teacher's supervision."

The teacher in charge of the group spoke up.

"Yes, teacher."

Everyone spoke in unison, and then began searching for suitable soul beasts around them.

"Ok?"

Qin Qi was stunned for a moment. In his mind, the Soul Hunting Operation was about the teacher finding a target, crippling them, and then having them kill them.

But now it seems that's not the case.

"You're a first-year student, so you probably haven't learned about Soul Hunting yet. Let me explain it to you first."

Seeing Qin Qi's puzzled look, the teacher in charge spoke up.

"Okay, then I'll leave it to you, teacher."

Qin Qi spoke up.

"First of all, soul beasts will give birth to different soul rings based on their different lifespans, such as the white ten-year soul ring."

"A yellow hundred-year soul ring, a purple thousand-year soul ring, and a black ten-thousand-year soul ring."

"The spirit rings of a spirit beast correspond to its age; the higher the age, the higher the level of the spirit ring."

"However, purple and black are irrelevant to us; we only need to pay attention to white and yellow."

"For ordinary students hunting, we recommend white spirit rings, as they are the easiest to absorb."

"But if you have enough talent, you can try to absorb a hundred-year-old soul ring."

The teacher first explained the basic information about spirit rings, and also gave his own advice.

"But that depends on your own abilities..."

"Teacher, I've found it! I want this spotted cat!"

Before the teacher could finish speaking, a student ran over and said something.

"Well, you can see the rest yourself."

The teacher led Qin Qi to follow that student to find the spotted cat, and after they found it, the teacher nodded.

The student summoned his martial spirit and charged forward.

"Oh, you'll do it yourself?"

Qin Qi looked at his teacher and spoke.

"Yes, that's how it is in our academy's Soul Hunting system. It's best to obtain the Soul Rings you want to absorb yourself."

"Find out, train, and test your knowledge of soul beasts on your own, and fight against them to hone your combat skills."

"But don't worry about getting hurt. The teacher is watching over you, and I will help if you encounter any danger."

The teacher nodded and said, "Notting Academy is a regular junior soul master academy."

Unlike some unorthodox methods, they have a standard procedure.

"What if I find it, but can't defeat it myself?"

Qin Qi thought of support-type martial souls, but these martial souls had very poor combat power and could not hunt alone.

"Well, at this point, we need to find a solution ourselves first. For example, some martial souls don't have offensive capabilities yet."

"At this point, you should ask your classmates for help in hunting. If that doesn't work, then you can ask your teacher for help."

The teacher in charge of the group spoke up.

"Oh, I got it."

Qin Qi nodded, noting that this was different from the teaching methods in real schools that only pursued academic performance.

Soul Master School truly teaches a student how to become an independent Soul Master; the teacher's role is merely to impart knowledge and provide guidance.

In the following period, people would occasionally find a suitable soul beast, then call the teacher over and hunt for soul beasts under the teacher's watchful eye.

Some succeeded, some failed, but in the end, with the teacher's help, they were able to successfully absorb the soul beasts.

During this time, Qin Qi secretly found a soul beast while his teacher was busy.

"Let me test the power of Dan Shi!"

Qin Qi looked at a ten-year-old soul beast in the distance. He condensed a pill into a colorless and formless pill and slowly flew towards the soul beast.

Chapter 19 The First Soul Ring, Changes in Soul Power!

When Dan Shi touched the soul beast's body, the soul beast was completely unaware of it.

But the next second, the soul beast began to tremble all over, and before it could even let out a scream, it collapsed to the ground.

A white spirit ring emerged from the spirit beast's body.

"It really is the Pill Devouring Technique! Anyone who is hit by it will die!"

Qin Qi went forward to check on it. The soul beast had a ferocious expression. Although it didn't scream, the marks on its body showed how much pain it was in.

Qin Qi looked at the white spirit ring that appeared in front of him, but he didn't absorb it. He turned around and left.

Since the pill-devouring technique is effective, hunting down century-old soul beasts is inevitable.

In the following days, Qin Qi searched for traces of the hundred-year-old soul beast, but he couldn't find it.

Before they knew it, it was evening, and the teacher in charge led everyone away from the Soul Hunter Forest.

I checked into a nearby inn and planned to continue hunting souls the next morning.

Qin Qi lay in his room, pondering his next steps.

"I can only condense one pill a day, but one pill is enough to kill in one blow."

"The important thing now is to find a target. What kind of martial spirit should I choose as my target?"

Qin Qi fell into deep thought. The Martial Soul Pill Devouring was truly unique; he couldn't even distinguish what type of Martial Soul it was.

"In terms of attack, Dan Shi ignores defense; in terms of concealment, Dan Shi is colorless, formless, and odorless."

"In terms of power, being hit by the pill is certain death, and it seems that it works regardless of whether it's attached with a spirit ring."

Qin Qi felt that Dan Shi no longer needed any additional effects, as Dan Shi itself was already comprehensive in all aspects.

"Forget it, let's wait until tomorrow when we go to the Soul Hunting Forest. We'll absorb whatever hundred-year-old soul beasts we encounter."

Qin Qi made a plan for tomorrow, and then entered the study space to begin studying.

................................................

The next morning, Qin Qi and his group entered the Soul Hunting Forest again, but this time Qin Qi quietly slipped away not long after they entered.

With the blessing of the transparent world, his observation skills reached their peak, and his ability to conceal his aura also reached its peak.

"Following the teacher is certainly safer, but we can't find any good soul beasts in the outer layers."

Qin Qi had learned how to conceal his presence from Tang Jiaren the night before, and he was putting it to use now.

With the blessing of his talent for seeing through the world, he could pass by soul beasts without being detected.

"It's alright. As long as I don't actively confront them, it will be very difficult for these soul beasts to detect me."

Qin Qi began to search his surroundings, and based on the knowledge he had learned at the academy, he managed to barely distinguish these soul beasts.

"This should be for ten years, and this one is too. The Soul Hunting Forest is indeed safe, but it is much worse than the Star Dou Great Forest."

Qin Qi searched around and found that most of the soul beasts he encountered were ten-year-old ones; he couldn't find any that were a hundred years old.

The Soul Hunting Forest is also divided into levels. The higher the level of the forest, the older the soul beasts are. At this moment, the Soul Hunting Forest is at the beginner level.

The level of the soul beasts was also very low. Qin Qi could hardly find any in the outer area, so he had to move closer to the inner layer.

After spending some time, Qin Qi arrived at the inner layer and, after searching around, found a soul beast.

"The Mandragora Serpent, judging by its length, is at least a hundred years old, making it a soul beast."

Qin Qi looked at the datura snake coiled around the tree; this datura snake was about five meters long.

According to the habits of the Datura serpent, it grows one meter every hundred years, so a five-meter-long Datura serpent would be about five hundred years old.

"Five hundred years...can I withstand that?"

Qin Qi thought about it and didn't rush into a decision, as he still knew too little about spirit rings.

He planned to continue searching around to see if he could find anything else.

After spending half a day, Qin Qi returned, but he couldn't find anything suitable after searching around.

"Phew, that's it."

"It carries a potent poison, has decent defense, and moves quickly; it seems perfect no matter how you look at it."
