Bajie went to the king and took his pulse. He first examined the cun pulse, then the guan pulse, and then the chi pulse. He then regulated his own breathing, distinguishing the four qi and five stagnations, the seven exterior and eight interior and nine pulses, the floating, the middle and the sinking, and the sinking and floating. He sensed the flow of qi in the king's body and distinguished the true and false. Only then did he stop and said, "Your Majesty, your qi is not flowing smoothly. It seems that there is an external evil invading you. I'm afraid you have eaten some kind of insect."

"Truly a miracle doctor!"

The king was overjoyed and hurriedly knelt down, saying, "A few days ago, a Taoist priest offered me a lotus root, which was red and black. From a distance, it looked like a lychee, but up close, it looked like an insect egg. He said that eating it would allow me to ascend to immortality."

So I ate it.

At first, I felt lightheaded, but after a few days, I experienced abdominal bloating and pain, lost my appetite, and couldn't drink tea or eat... I'm afraid I really have worms in my stomach!

The civil and military officials also praised Pigsy endlessly.

However, only Jiang Liu saw it clearly at the scene.

The lotus root hailstones are the eggs of the Qinlang Fairy. After being eaten by living beings, they hatch inside the stomach, devour the internal organs, and take their place, transforming into demonic insects.

Fortunately, the king was not a cultivator and did not know the method of refining tangible golden elixir, so the insect egg could not hatch for a long time, but only blocked his intestines and slowly absorbed his innate qi.

"I don't know how to treat my illness?"

The king pressed for an answer.

Bajie happened to know a recipe for treating intestinal worms, but he suddenly remembered that when his eldest brother treated the king, he asked the king for 880 kinds of medicine, each weighing three catties, so he tried to imitate it.

"Why are you using so much medicine?"

The king was greatly alarmed, "If we are to eat this, who knows how many days it will take?"

"As the ancients said, medicine should not be prescribed rigidly, but used appropriately. Therefore, it depends entirely on the medicine itself, and additions and subtractions can be made at will."

Bajie, recalling what Wukong, the Monkey King, had said back then, patted his chest and guaranteed, "At that time, there will only be one pill, and His Majesty will be cured as soon as he takes it."

His Majesty only instructed that the medicine, along with the grinding tools, be delivered to the meeting place.

At this point, the king did not pursue the matter further and ordered that all 880 kinds of medicine, each weighing three catties, along with medicine grinders, millstones, sieves, milk powder, milk mortars, milk mallets, and the like, be sent to the meeting hall.

Jiang Liu smiled knowingly at Bajie's imitation of his own Mind Monkey's actions back then, thinking to himself, "Bajie's mental state has reached that of a Bodhisattva!"

What is a one-legged Bodhisattva?

They have the heart to relieve suffering and distress, but are unwilling to reveal the methods of doing so.

For doctors in ordinary pharmacies, prescriptions are the foundation of their livelihood, so it's understandable that they don't share them with outsiders.

But how can a person who cultivates himself, with the intention of universal salvation, hide his skills like a pharmacy that makes a living in the secular world?

Therefore, Pigsy is now a Bodhisattva with only one foot.

Similar to the Guanyin of the South Sea in this primordial world.

The banquet ended.

Jiang Liu led the group back to the meeting hall.

"Why do you need so much medicine?"

Hu Yuan and Hu Jue asked, "You don't mean you're planning to open a pharmacy here, do you?"

"Why open a pharmacy? It's just to prevent those people from knowing my prescriptions."

Bajie was indeed a Bodhisattva with one foot. After saying that, he started looking for medicine to make a prescription for expelling worms.

Jiang Liu stopped him, saying, "Bajie, don't rush. Ordinary deworming medicine won't work on the worms in the king's belly."

Pigsy asked in doubt, "Why can't I hit him?"

Jiang Liu did not hide anything and revealed that the worm in the king's belly was the egg of the Qinlang Fairy. He added, "The left Buddha Hand worm in Tuoluo Village was born from the egg of the Qinlang Fairy in the left hand of the Bodhisattva Pilanpo."

The king of Zhu Zi Kingdom, like the king of Ji Sai Kingdom, was utterly muddle-headed. He must have believed the words of the sorcerer from Huang Hua Temple, who said that eating lotus root would grant immortality.

The lotus root hail was actually insect eggs. It entered his stomach, blocked his intestines, and absorbed his innate vital energy, leaving him pale.

If ordinary insecticides are used, not only will they fail to kill the insects, but they will also cause the insect eggs to hatch prematurely and devour the king's internal organs. How could the king possibly survive?

"At that time, you will have no choice but to pay with your life."

Upon learning the reason, Pigsy was terrified. He hurriedly grabbed Jiang Liu's shoulder and pleaded, "Good brother, you can't teach me to be a quack doctor!"

"Don't worry, I will definitely help you refine pills again."

Jiang Liu's words had a double meaning: he instructed Bajie to fetch dried plums, Bajing to bring asarum, Hu Yuan to bring dried ginger, Hu Jue to hand over rhubarb, Lüzhen to bring betel nuts, and Pingping to grab a handful of Evodia rutaecarpa.

“The king has demonic insect eggs in his stomach. To get rid of the insects, we must use some strong medicine that can clear the intestines and stomach.” Pigsy had his own reasoning.

However, Bajing denied it, saying, "To be honest, if you had asked me for it years ago, I might have given you some dragon-horse urine. Now that I have long since attained human form, my true form has become my Dharma form, how could I possibly urinate?"

"Bajie, this medicine doesn't require dragon horse urine, but rather a puddle of your pig urine!"

Jiang Liu chuckled.

Chapter 1540 Do Not Refine Pills Before Forging Golden Core

"Is pig urine also medicine?"

Bajie looked confused. "Brother, are you joking?"

"Pig urine is not considered a medicinal material, but pig bladder is. It can nourish the kidneys and reduce urination, promote diuresis and reduce swelling. If used externally, it can stop bleeding and can also assist in the treatment of hernia."

Pigsy's mouth twitched. He was genuinely excited about the fact that the emperor wanted to drink his urine. He quickly grabbed a bowl, went outside, and took a good, satisfying piss.

Curious, the brothers Hu Yuan and Hu Jue went to the backyard to observe, and laughed in unison, "Second brother, are you trying to make that king drink his fill?"

"Hmph, drinking that old pig's urine is a blessing for the king!"

Bajie chuckled and returned with a full bowl of urine. He poured it into the medicinal powder and asked Jiang Liu, "Is it just a matter of stirring and kneading it into pills?"

"How long will this mess go on?"

Jiang Liu shook his head and asked again, "Do you know the art of alchemy?"

"The way of alchemy is to refine the essence of hundreds of herbs and the spiritual essence of all things, refine them with the Samadhi Fire, and control them with the mind to fuse them into a pill."

When Pigsy was Marshal Tianpeng in Heaven, he had heard about Laozi's alchemy techniques and revealed the secret.

Jiang Liu shook his head and said, "What kind of alchemy is this? It's just boiling medicine. It's just that your method of alchemy is more efficient than the common people's method of boiling soup."

"Then what is alchemy?"

Jiang Liu explained to them: "Our practice of refining Qi and cultivating truth is the same as refining elixir. When body and mind are united, one obtains the golden elixir."

The same applies to refining a true elixir.

Understanding pharmacology is called understanding the nine orifices; adjusting proportions is called regulating the five vital energies; controlling the heat is called circulating the energy throughout the body.

Therefore.

Only those like us who have comprehended the Great Dao and cultivated the Golden Elixir of body and mind can refine the true Nine-Turn Golden Elixir by imprinting the inner with the outer.

If one were to learn the alchemy methods of Laozi in this world, it wouldn't be considered alchemy; at best, it would only be medicine making.

To understand the principles of alchemy.

All six of them suddenly understood.

Bajie even tried it himself, using his own Qi to connect the medicinal powder, and then poured in pig urine. As he stirred, the liquid evaporated, and the medicinal powder stuck together, spontaneously merging into a black pill the size of a thumb!

This cinnabar is jet black yet smooth, with a hazy, iridescent sheen around it, making it quite extraordinary!

The so-called Golden Elixir—

If one can master the skills of opening the nine orifices and circulating the Qi throughout the body, and internally refining the five elements to create a Qi system, even ordinary herbs can be refined into the Nine-Turn Golden Elixir.

"I'm exhausted!"

Since it was his first time refining pills, Bajie had difficulty controlling the heat. Although the "Black Gold Pill" was successfully made, it could not be called a Nine-Turn Pill.

In terms of rank, it's barely a first-class rank.

But for that king, it was enough.

“Brother Yuanjue, if we spread our Great Dao throughout the Three Realms, will the immortals and Buddhas change?” Pingping couldn’t help but ask.

"A small percentage will."

This is because the great path is difficult to traverse.

Without Jiang Liu's cultivation through 1,749 kalpas—and including this one, it's 1,750 kalpas—the path of Qi cultivation is not easy.

Bajie, Bajing, Huyuan, Hujue, and Luzhenping were able to succeed because of his constant teaching and daily encouragement, which enabled them to persevere.

And what about those immortals and Buddhas?

Accustomed to the convenience of cultivating by plundering the spiritual essence of all living beings, even if the true path to immortality were placed before them, few would truly be willing to cultivate it.

Didn't his Guanyin Bodhisattva resonate with people's hearts, open up the Dharma Realm, and create a path to immortality for the primordial world?

But how many immortals and Buddhas are willing to set aside their pride and become disciples of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva?

They all have a discriminating mind.

They cannot be considered immortals or Buddhas.

Currently, only a small segment of the world's population with determination and perseverance are willing to take Avalokiteshvara as their teacher.
