Wang Yaozu, Hong Guniang, Sai Huohou, Dili Chuai, Chengzhen, and Zhao Qian, along with eight other apprentices, were responsible for the children's safety. After Jiang Liu planned the tour route for them, they toured the area where Leifeng Pagoda was located. When they saw that Taoist priests and monks had already arrived, he invited Lu Jin to stay with them, while the others continued to accompany the children along the route.

"Jiang Liu, the young master of the Ghost Hand Wang Cai Opera Troupe."

"Lu Jin, a disciple of the Sanyi Sect."

"Greetings, esteemed seniors!" x2

They both spoke in unison.

There were six monks present: Rusong from Lingyin Temple, Zhende from Faxi Temple, Mingxin from Jingci Temple, Huili from Jingshan Temple, Xingkong from Yongfu Temple, and Wuren from Xiangji Temple.

There were four Taoist priests: Zhang Mingyuan of Zhang Daxian Temple, Li Xuanzi of Fuxing Temple, Luo Yinyin of Baopu Taoist Temple, and Yu Xiaozi of Jade Emperor Palace.

They are all branches of the Quanzhen School.

"These two young men have been quite capable in eliminating evil and crime in the city recently."

The old monk Zhende chuckled, praising openly but subtly mocking, and then sighed, "But there will be considerable trouble in the future."

"When soldiers come, we'll meet them; when water comes, we'll dam it. To make a living in this world, you have to deal with all sorts of people." Jiang Liu wasn't annoyed and said with a smile, "After all, we can't compare to temples. We can't ask believers for incense offerings, nor are we a high-ranking sect, so we can't find patrons to support us. We can only earn our own money, work hard, and rely on ourselves."

Immediately, Zhen De widened his eyes, displaying remarkable composure, and laughed, "What you say makes sense! Benefactor, you truly have wisdom! However, we didn't originally need you, but recently several senior Taoist priests from various temples have reached the end of their lives and passed away, leaving us short of people. We also have few young people in our temple who have achieved mastery of Qi cultivation, so we approached you."

"Enough with the small talk."

Li Xuanzi of Fuxing Temple said, “Now that everyone has arrived, let’s go to Leifeng Pagoda. Rusong, since you are familiar with these two, you should pass on the Dharani Mantra of the Secret Relic Box of All Tathagatas to them.”

Ru Song nodded and then transmitted the "Dharani Mantra of the Secret Whole Body Relic Box Seal of the Heart of All Tathagatas" to Jiang Liu and Lu Jin.

As Jiang Liu chanted the incantation, he felt a slight movement in his spine, and his Qi flowed autonomously, merging with the heavens and earth. His inner vision seemed to receive a mysterious blessing, becoming increasingly stable.

"This Treasure Chest Seal Dharani Mantra was written by the World-Honored One and can purify people. If you practice it year after year, you can achieve inner peace. Even in your dreams, you will only have your own thoughts and no other distracting thoughts that make up the illusions and bubbles."

As Song explained, "It can bring peace to the body and calm the mind. When the mind is free of distractions, the inner landscape is only one mind, which can observe the five aggregates of form, feeling, perception, mental formations and consciousness within the body."

Once one can introspectively observe the five aggregates and understand their nature, one can attain the realization that the five aggregates are empty!

After memorizing the incantation, Lu Jin recited it several times and felt much calmer. He then asked, "Master, you have bestowed such an important divine incantation upon us?"

"It's just a spell, what's its value?"

Ru Song smiled faintly, "Our Buddhist sect doesn't care about the spread of a mantra. In fact, there are quite a few benefactors who know this mantra, but without the aptitude for Qi cultivation, this mantra can only be used to calm the mind."

Upon hearing this, Lu Jin fell silent, because he once again realized the gap between the Sanyi Sect and the truly profound sects.

Jiang Liu asked a question: "I heard you say before that the Dharani of the Secret Heart of the Tathagata: Whole Body Relic Box Seal can gather the power of all beings... I have also heard that this mantra can obtain the blessing of the Buddha power of the three thousand great chiliocosms, and I have also heard that it can perform eighty-four thousand dharmas?"

"I was just telling you the most realistic legend... and the rumor that 'the power of the Buddhas of the three thousand great worlds is gathered' has been circulating ever since Xuanzang returned from his pilgrimage. Just don't believe it."

Ru Song shook his head, "There is only one in this vast world, so how can there be three thousand? Besides, how can a person learn all eighty-four thousand methods?"

"That's true."

Although he said that, Jiang Liu clearly sensed that when he recited the incantation, there was an unseen power strengthening his inner vision, making it more and more solid. The connection between his body and the world seemed to become closer and closer, as if he could leap out of the barriers and be free!

Moreover, after reciting the Sarva Tathagata Heart Secret Whole Body Relic Box Seal Dharani Mantra once, the spiritual light in his ancestral aperture seemed to "brighten" by three points, giving him a warm feeling.

Could it be that only practitioners like him, whose inner visions are fully opened up and transformed into mental landscapes that correspond one-to-one with their physical landscapes, can achieve such an effect?

Make a note of it for now.

Twenty meters outside Leifeng Pagoda.

The twelve people stopped to look at the dilapidated, moss-covered, and shrub-covered yellow pagoda, which was over forty meters tall. Just as Ru Song was about to lead the way, a brown-haired, blue-eyed foreigner walked out from behind the pagoda. Inside the Leifeng Pagoda, which was now just a pile of bricks and stones, a brown-haired little girl emerged from a hole in the base of the pagoda with a smile on her face.

The foreign father and daughter are visiting Leifeng Pagoda.

When the foreigner saw Jiang Liu and his group, he reached out and hugged his daughter who had jumped down from the tower. He walked towards them with a smile on his face.

Hello!

He spoke fluent Mandarin and waved to Elder Rusong, saying, "Hello, Elder Rusong."

Ru Song smiled slightly and introduced the disciples of the other temples and Taoist temples, as well as Jiang Liu and Lu Jin. Then she introduced Jiang Liu and Lu Jin: "This is the secretary of the Chinese Christian YMCA named Bao Naide, and this is his daughter, Bao Jinmei."

"Hello, Mr. Boned."

Jiang Liu and Lu Jin send their greetings.

Jiang Liu had heard of the YMCA of China; it was a subordinate department of Christianity, but it did not engage in religious activities.

They are not serving others, but rather being served by others.

This is the motto of the YMCA, whose main purpose is to carry out educational, recreational, and public welfare activities in society within the framework of laws and moral norms.

therefore.

This Mr. Bao Naide was not a superhuman, and he didn't even know that superhumans existed. He regarded Elder Rusong and others as ordinary religious people.

Hello.

With a smile, Bao Naide asked, "Elder Rusong, are you also here for sightseeing? And you've brought two young boys with you? They don't look like monks, nor Taoists... Oh, I remember now, they're the little magicians from that magic troupe!"

Seeing that Bao Naide wanted to pay Jiang Liu and Lu Jin to perform magic tricks for his daughter, Ru Song interrupted, "Mr. Bao, we are here to recite scriptures to deliver the snake demon under Leifeng Pagoda, so we hope that you and your daughter can leave this place first."

"Oh my God, I believe in God, but I'm not as superstitious as you guys! Could it be that the White Snake Lady really exists under Leifeng Pagoda?"

Bonaide was reluctant to believe it, but as an officer of the YMCA of China and a Christian, he was also an open-minded person who was willing to respect other people's beliefs, so he continued, "Alright then, you old stubborn man, I hope you don't lead these two teenagers astray."

"And these two teenagers, I heard you're working on renovating the slums, right?"

"This is great news!"

"Our YMCA will also come to help clean up the trash later."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Liu smiled and said, "Thank you."

After bidding farewell to everyone, Bao Naide took his daughter Bao Jinmei's hand and headed down the mountain.

"goodbye!"

Bao Jinmei turned around and waved to the crowd.

"Brother Jiang, is the YMCA of China really a non-profit organization?" After the foreign father and daughter disappeared from sight, Lu Jin complained, "Why did he sound a little impatient?"

"It's probably a unique way of speaking among foreigners."

After saying that, Jiang Liu added, "Besides, he's not on working hours right now—"

As everyone knows!

Participating in public welfare activities

You need to suppress your temper.

# Chapter 239 Mind and Body Connected, Entering the Inner Realm Together

"The irrelevant people are gone, let's begin!"

Upon reaching Leifeng Pagoda, Rusong jumped onto the base of the pagoda, waved to the crowd behind him, and was the first to crawl into the hole at the bottom, with the others following closely behind.

Upon entering the pagoda, Jiang Liu inexplicably felt an indescribable charm. He raised his hand to stroke the bricks on the inner wall, scraped off a layer of plaster, clapped his hands, and said, "Elder Rusong, what should we do next? Should we just practice the Dharani Mantra of the Secret Whole Body Relic Casket of All Tathagatas?"

At this moment, Elder Rusong and the others had each found a spot to sit against the wall.

"Go sit down there, and I'll explain further."

Ru Song pointed to the empty walls and corners inside the tower.

Jiang Liu and Lu Jin did as instructed.

"The green and white snakes are suppressed at the bottom of the tower."

Elder Rusong nodded and explained to the two, "Their spirits are immortal. Even though they are suppressed with the Buddha's hair relic, their obsessions and resentments will not disappear."

Afterwards, we recited together the Dharani Mantra of the Secret Relic Casket of All Tathagatas, calming our minds and connecting our spirits to enter the inner realm!

If Leifeng Pagoda were still intact, there would be no need for such a complicated process. An elder could simply recite scriptures inside the pagoda to activate the spells and talismans, which would be enough to wear down the resentment and obsession of the two snakes, the green and the white. Moreover, this process could be repeated every ten years, and in less than three hundred years, their spirits could be completely eradicated.

Unfortunately, at the end of the Northern Song Dynasty, due to the Fang La Rebellion, the outer wooden structure of Leifeng Pagoda was burned down, leaving only the core of the brick pagoda... Although it was later repaired, it was not as magnificent as it was during Qian Chu's time, so much so that the magic seal was incomplete, greatly reducing the efficiency of dispelling the resentment and obsession with the Green and White Snakes.

During the Jiajing era of the Ming Dynasty, when Japanese pirates besieged Yuhang, they set fire to Leifeng Pagoda. All the wooden structures were completely burned down, leaving only the reddish-brown and yellowish-gray brick core of the pagoda.

After the Ming Dynasty ended, Qing Dynasty officials stopped repairing Leifeng Pagoda.

Few monks and Taoists in Yuhang City knew carpentry, and the foundation that could suppress the Green and White Snakes was this pagoda brick containing 84,000 volumes of scriptures!

The bricks of this pagoda have endured two major fires and nearly a thousand years of wind, rain, frost, and snow, and the bricks and stones are already too heavy to withstand the weight!

Those present did consider demolishing and rebuilding the tower, but where would the money come from? And who could cast another 84,000 bricks containing the scriptures?

After the Buddhist temple was built, was it managed by the Buddhist community or managed by the Quanzhen Taoist sect?

Moreover, in times of war, even these Buddhist and Taoist disciples could hardly protect themselves. It was already a struggle that they could send people here every year to chant scriptures and dispel some of the resentment of the green and white snakes!

However, it was precisely because the Buddhist and Taoist sides reached a consensus and discovered that this method was feasible that a ritual for the deceased was performed once a year became a habit.

"Enter the interior together?"

Jiang Liu's mind stirred, and he asked, "Whose inner vision?"

Although the mantra of the Secret Whole Body Relic Box Seal of All Tathagatas' Heart is profound, it is absolutely impossible for it to merge the inner visions of the twelve people present into one!

There must be a leader!

"This is my inner vision."

As Song said, “This has little to do with the level of cultivation, but rather with the nature of mind. Our Zen school emphasizes the nature of mind the most. I have practiced for many years, and although I have not seen through the illusions of the world or realized the emptiness of the five aggregates, I am still calm and peaceful, which makes it best for the spirits of the two snakes to enter my inner vision.”

"Are the spirits of those two snake demons also going to enter the inner realm?"

Jiang Liu was taken aback and asked, "Could it be that the so-called 'dispelling resentment and obsession' is actually just letting the snake demon's spirit enter your inner world, Elder, so that everyone can attack and beat them up together?"

"Salvation."

Elder Rusong corrected.

Jiang Liu: "..."
