She nodded vigorously: "I will do everything in my power to do anything that Genkawa-kun needs!"

The two remained silent for a moment, enjoying the quiet and warm moment.

Suddenly, Genkawa Yu opened his eyes slightly and looked out the window.

"Look, it's snowing."

Upon hearing this, Akane Kurokawa also turned to look out the window.

Sure enough, at that moment, fine, white snowflakes began to fall silently, shimmering with a silvery-white light under the last rays of the setting sun and the gradually brightening neon lights of the city.

"Yes."

Akane Kurokawa responded softly, her eyes gazing somewhat unfocused at the first snowfall.

"Snowing."

Genkawa Yu's gaze shifted from the window to Kurokawa Akane's profile, his voice gentle yet tinged with a hint of emotion.

The New Year is just around the corner.

His words were like a gentle pause.

The curtain slowly fell on this long winter filled with unexpected events, pain, companionship, turbulent emotions, and career turning points.

With the arrival of the first snow and the approach of the New Year, everything has temporarily come to a halt.

Those answers hidden deep in our hearts will quietly take root in the spring after the ice and snow melt, waiting to sprout.

I hope next year will be a smooth and successful year.

Volume 2 Tokyo Love Story: Chapter 1 Children, I'm Back (2-in-1 5K)

The two months of recuperation in the hospital passed by quietly, a strange feeling that both stretched out and flew by.

The sycamore trees outside the window had long since shed their leaves, their bare branches pointing sharply towards the pale winter sky, yet on one unexpected morning, they were covered with a thin layer of frost.

The day for Yuu Genkawa to be discharged from the hospital finally arrived.

The smell of disinfectant no longer dominates the single-person ward; instead, there is the smell of cardboard boxes emanating from various items being packed, as well as a faint, restless atmosphere of farewell and rebirth.

Akane Kurokawa was carefully placing several reference books from Yu Minakawa's bedside table, along with the bound first draft of the script for "Love Like a Bouquet," into a sturdy cardboard box.

The girl's movements were gentle and focused, as if she were handling something precious and fragile, not an ordinary object.

Each time she put down a book, her gaze would linger on it for a moment, as if she were reminiscing about the time she spent with Genkawa Yu.

Kato Megumi was tidying up her scattered personal items—water cups, tissues, unopened snacks, chargers, and so on.

Her efficiency was as high as ever; her movements were methodical and she quietly and quickly sorted and packed them into another smaller storage box.

Her calmness contrasted subtly with Akane Kurokawa's overt joy, yet they coexisted in a strange harmony in this space.

"Finally, I can leave this place."

Genkawa Yu gently moved his left arm. The cast had been completely removed, but the long period of immobilization still made his arm movements somewhat stiff.

He was wearing a simple gray turtleneck sweater and dark trousers, with a long black coat on top. After more than two months in the hospital, he had become a little thinner, but he looked even more upright. The calmness and sharpness in his eyes had not been diminished in the slightest by his injuries.

"Yes, finally... I'm going to be discharged from the hospital."

Akane Kurokawa raised her head and gave Yu Minakawa a bright smile, but there was a hint of reluctance in her eyes.

This ward was, to some extent, her "privileged domain" where she could rightfully and for long periods of time be close to him and take care of him. Once she left, many things might return to their original course and become unpredictable again.

After all, Mai Sakurajima had come quite often during this time, and she could sense the subtle connection between her and Yu Genkawa.

However... thinking about the upcoming filming of "Love Like a Bouquet," Akane Kurokawa felt even more excited.

Kato Megumi closed the lid of the storage box and replied in a calm voice, "Genkawa-san, I've already had your apartment cleaned and ventilated in advance. You can move in directly today."

"Okay, thank you so much for your help these past few days, Kato-san."

Genkawa Yu touched his arm, a faint smile on his face.

Just then, the door to the ward was knocked on and immediately pushed open.

"Congratulations on your discharge, Genkawa-kun!"

MEM's lively voice rang out first; she flew in like a cheerful bird, carrying a large bouquet of bright red sunflowers.

May you live towards the sun from now on, and be 100% healthy!

Following closely behind was Asakura Toru, who still possessed that dreamlike, transparent quality. The girl carried a delicate paper bag in her hand and spoke in a soft voice.

"Congratulations, Genkawa-kun, this is a gift I prepared for you."

She placed the paper bag on the table; it appeared to contain a selection of wagashi (Japanese sweets) from a boutique snack shop.

Nobuyuki Kumano and Kengo Morimoto also appeared, with Kumano smiling as he handed over a gym bag that looked very practical.

"Yuanchuan, congratulations. I've put some simple rehabilitation training equipment in here. Remember to proceed gradually; you'll always find a way to use it."

Kengo Morimoto remained reserved, but a smile appeared on his face as well. His gift was a set of books.

"Yuanchuan, congratulations on being discharged from the hospital. I heard you've been writing a script recently. These are some writing materials I bought specifically for you. I hope they will be useful."

The group from "Love is a Required Course in Life" reunited, instantly enlivening the ward and filling it with laughter.

"Thank you everyone for making this special trip."

Genkawa smiled and thanked everyone, his gaze sweeping over the sincere faces of his friends, a warm feeling flowing through his heart.

MEM, with her sharp eyes, spotted the exquisitely elegant bouquet of white freesias on the bedside table. "Wow! These flowers are so beautiful! Who sent them?"

Akane Kurokawa explained, "It was sent by Sakurajima-san. She had a magazine shoot today and couldn't get away, but she sent flowers and her best wishes over early this morning."

Genkawa Yu nodded, the image of that busy female entertainer coming to mind.

Although Mai Sakurajima couldn't be there in person, her thoughtfulness was timely and considerate, just like her usual style.

Amidst the festivities, several staff members from Hoshino Productions, the agency to which Genkawa Yu belongs, as well as the assistant director and two familiar production assistants from the "Alice in the Land of the Dying" crew, arrived one after another, bringing fruit baskets and blessings.

Everyone congratulated him on his recovery and discharge from the hospital, and briefly discussed the initial intentions for his follow-up work arrangements.

The ward was bustling with people, filled with greetings and laughter, and brimming with the warmth of everyday life.

After the commotion subsided, his friends and staff thoughtfully left without lingering. After offering their blessings once more, they took their leave, leaving the final time and space for Genkawa Yu and the two girls who had been by his side.

There weren't many things here to begin with, and everything was quickly packed up.

The company-arranged nanny van was already waiting downstairs at the hospital, and the same driver was waiting beside the car.

Genkawa Yu took one last look at the hospital room where he had stayed for two months. It was bright and clean, and had returned to its original tidiness and spaciousness, as if no one had ever stayed there for long.

"Phew~ I can finally go back."

Turning their gaze away, the van smoothly drove towards the upscale apartment where Genkawa Yu lived.

Inside the car, Akane Kurokawa sat in the passenger seat, glancing occasionally through the rearview mirror at Yu Minakawa and Megumi Kato in the back seat.

As always, Megumi Kato gazed at the fleeting street scenes outside the window, while Yu Genkawa closed his eyes slightly to rest. A silence, a mixture of the relaxed feeling of returning home and the faint sorrow of parting, filled the car.

Upon arriving at the apartment building, the three of them took the elevator together to the floor where Genkawa Yu was located.

The corridor was quiet and clean, with a soft carpet that absorbed all footsteps. Standing in front of the familiar apartment door, Genkawa Yu felt a strange sense of unfamiliarity.

He took out the key, inserted it into the lock, and hesitated slightly.

"I haven't been back for two months, and I feel a little out of sorts."

Upon opening the door, the apartment was indeed spotless and fresh, just as Kato Megumi had described. There was even a small potted plant on the coffee table in the living room, clearly a sign of careful maintenance.

All the furniture was shrouded in a faint, quiet feeling of long-unused use, but the fundamental atmosphere of "home" still remained.

"Sorry to bother you."

Akane Kurokawa spoke softly, taking off her shoes and placing them neatly in the entryway.

Kato Megumi, on the other hand, seemed much more at ease. She skillfully found slippers to change into and then put away all the luggage she had brought. Since moving, she had indeed been a regular here.

The girl opened the refrigerator, looked around, and then started boiling water, seemingly preparing to make tea.

Genkawa Yu slowly walked into the living room, looked around, and unconsciously ran his fingers along the back of the sofa, feeling the familiar yet strange sensation.

There's no smell of disinfectant like in a hospital; only the scent of sun-dried fabrics, warm and comfortable.

"Mr. Genkawa, it seems you haven't greeted your neighbors yet? I don't think I've met any of them."

Kato Megumi came out carrying a cup of freshly brewed tea and casually asked a question.

She knew that Yuu Minakawa had been busy with work, and had only been in the film crew for a few days when he moved in, and then fast-forwarded to the point of being hospitalized.

To this day, we still don't know who lives on this floor.

"Ah."

Yuan Chuan You took the teacup, the warmth emanating from the porcelain. "I've been very busy since I moved here, and my job is different from that of a regular office worker. I've hardly ever run into my neighbors during normal hours."

"Let's wait a few days. The New Year is coming soon. We can visit our neighbors then and show them some basic courtesy."

After resting for a while, the two girls began to help with more detailed tidying and cleaning.

The apartment was already quite clean, but they still did their best to wipe away the dust, carefully put the items they brought back back in their original places, and put the clean clothes into the washing machine.

Akane Kurokawa was particularly meticulous; she even helped Yu Minakawa rearrange all the stationery and documents on his desk that might have accumulated dust.

Yuu Minakawa wanted to lend a hand, but they always pushed him back onto the sofa with the excuse that "the patient needs to rest."

Watching the two girls bustling around in his space, Yuan Chuanyou even felt a pang of guilt, as if he were a kept man.

It’s weird.

Time passed quietly as people worked, and as the setting sun once again bathed the living room in golden light, the apartment had fully returned to its living state, even more cozy than before.

It's time for Akane Kurokawa and Megumi Kato to leave.

"Well then, Genkawa-kun, please get some rest. If you feel unwell at all, please remember to call me anytime."

Akane Kurokawa stood in the entrance hall, earnestly giving her instructions, her eyes full of concern and tenderness.

"Yes, I know. Thank you for your help today. You've worked hard."

Genkawa Yu sincerely thanked him.

Kato Megumi nodded. "Genkawa-san, the New Year is just around the corner, and then..."
