You should know that such a thing would never make the front page of the news in China, but this is in the United States, and the Presbyterian Hospital is not an ordinary hospital.

You can think of this Presbyterian Hospital as the prototype of the trauma group in cyberpunk, and it even has a part-time business of 'cybernetic body recycling'.

The scene in the movie where Doctor Strange's big house and a bunch of luxury goods disappear, leaving him looking like a homeless person, is not only related to the killing line, but also to this damned Presbyterian Hospital, since medical expenses there are never cheap.

Of course, Sherlock had no pity for Stephen at this moment; the reason Sherlock paid attention to this news was simply because he wanted to have some fun.

After all, who can resist the many iconic moments that led to the Negotiator's emergence?

Chapter 683 The Ancient One's Secret (Part 1)

Without hesitation, Sherlock greeted Odin and left using the Space Stone. Odin didn't make things difficult for Sherlock, partly because Sherlock was simply a financial drainer in the production crew, and partly because Sherlock's excuse was very good.

After all, Sherlock was going to see the Ancient One, so he must have something to do. I certainly couldn't delay Sherlock's business. It definitely wasn't because the damn RV I rented for Sherlock was too expensive.

Absolutely not!

Sherlock, of course, had no idea what Odin was thinking. The old fox had hidden his feelings for Sherlock very well, but that didn't mean that others could hide them just as well.

Take the Ancient One for example...

Because Sherlock used the Space Stone when he arrived at Kamar-Taj, which is not magic, it wouldn't cause any magical fluctuations. Secondly, the Ancient One never expected that Sherlock would suddenly visit without warning on such an ordinary day.

The most direct result was that Sherlock accidentally discovered the little secret that the Ancient One had kept hidden for decades.

Sherlock appears in the Ancient One's tea room, or rather, the core of Kamar-Taj, the Sorcerer Supreme's room.

In Sherlock's memory, the Ancient One's tea room was always filled with a Zen-like atmosphere and a Tang Dynasty-style exotic feel.

But when Sherlock made this unexpected visit, he finally saw the true face of the tea room that he thought he knew so well.

The distance from the main entrance to the small tea table was still the tea room that Sherlock knew very well. It was antique and full of Zen. Just by looking at it, you could tell that the owner of this room was a person of high moral character.

But the scene behind that coffee table, which Sherlock was so familiar with, was completely different from the tea room Sherlock remembered.

In Sherlock's mind, there should have been a wall behind that small coffee table, a wall with the same decorating style as the section between the coffee table and the door, and even a few antique landscape paintings hanging on it.

But what is the reality? The wall has disappeared!

What appeared before Sherlock was a place that looked like a cyberpunk prosthetic clinic!

Parts were scattered everywhere on the floor, the workbench was a mess of all sorts of things, and the cabinets on the wall contained all sorts of display items.

The shop features anime figurines, rare medicinal herbs, antiques, and occasionally autographed photos of celebrities. Sherlock even found a black and white autographed photo of a mustache!

Most importantly, the autographed photo of the mustache was surrounded by photos of Churchill, Stalin, and Roosevelt.

What a brilliant Allied effort to encircle and annihilate the Axis powers!

The way the collection is displayed reveals the owner's perverse sense of humor. Combined with the scattered packaging bags and beverage cans on the ground, the scene has absolutely no connection to the character of the Ancient One. Instead, it resembles the territory of a nerdy guy seeking pleasure.

And at the far end of the room, a huge computer with nine ultrawide screens seemed to be desperately trying to confirm this.

Of course, what was most eye-catching was not the messy collection in the room that Sherlock was seeing for the first time, nor the high-end computer with nine screens flashing different lights and web pages.

Instead, it was that bald guy sitting intently in front of the screen, his hands practically sparking from the keyboard!

Sherlock could even faintly hear the bald man, who, though sitting in an ergonomic chair, seemed to be sitting on his own kang (heated brick bed), clicking his tongue in extreme dissatisfaction as he typed on the keyboard.

? ? ? ? ?

Is this the Ancient One?

Is this the Ancient One?!

From the initial confusion and fear upon his transmigration to his current ease and competence, Sherlock believed that his understanding of the so-called Marvel world was deep enough that he could at least face anything with a calm mind.

But the facts before him told Sherlock that he was overthinking things!

In his shock, Sherlock was completely unaware of his footing and accidentally kicked a beverage straw.

Logically speaking, such a sound shouldn't be loud, but in this room where there was only the sound of keyboard typing and breathing, it was like thunder and impossible to ignore.

Almost instantly, Gu Yi, who had been focused on the computer screen, looked warily toward the source of the sound.

To make matters worse, he ended up sharing a 'deep gaze' with a shocked Sherlock.

The moment the Ancient One and Sherlock's eyes met, the whole world fell silent, as if only their heavy breathing could be heard.

The next second, the two began to move almost simultaneously. The Ancient One formed a hand seal in front of her chest, and the blue light of the Space Stone on Sherlock's body burst forth in an instant.

The originally normal space began to crack almost instantly, like glass. The ear-piercing creaking sound of the space breaking and rubbing against each other was incessant. But soon, streams of blue light acted like glue, gluing the shattered pieces of space together.

Seeing that her first wave of attacks had no effect, Gu Yi frowned slightly, narrowed her eyes, and made no attempt to conceal her killing intent. The mark on her forehead, belonging to the power of the dark dimension, appeared instantly.

The instant the mark appeared, the Ancient One charged towards Sherlock like a cannonball.

Sherlock, of course, would not sit idly by and wait for his death. The red light of the Reality Stone emanating from his body surged continuously, accompanied by the appearance of scarlet lightning unique to alchemy.

The moment Sherlock clasped his hands together, the entire tea room seemed to come alive. Everything, from the smallest teacup to a speck of dust, to the largest walls and floor, was desperately trying its best to stop the Ancient One.

The Ancient One was naturally not hindered by these things. With the magic of Kamar-Taj appearing on her hands, orange-yellow sparks exploded continuously, and those things that wanted to stop her were almost instantly shattered into pieces by the Ancient One.

During this process, more than one pair of arms sprouted from the Ancient One's body, making her look like a thousand-armed Guanyin. Almost every arm had different magic to deal with the drastically changing environment around her, and several spells were aimed at Sherlock.

Sherlock naturally saw the magic whip flying towards him like a serpent, and his expression grew increasingly terrified, with blue and red light constantly surging and alternating around his body.

Before the sparkling magical whips that the Ancient One lashed out could reach him, Sherlock managed to stop the damned whips from advancing and simultaneously set up a spatial tunnel to escape.

However, before Sherlock could even run away, the green light from the Time Stone on the Ancient One's body exploded instantly. The moment that green light appeared, Sherlock's face turned as black as the bottom of a pot.

"Hua Q! I hate people who play with time!"

Chapter 684 The Ancient One's Secret (Part 2)

Despite Sherlock's complaint, the Ancient One showed no anger on her face; instead, she wore an expression of relief.

As the Ancient One relaxed, a blinding green light emerged from the Eye of Agamotto on her chest, instantly enveloping the two of them.

Sherlock felt as if the whole world had paused for a moment, and the next second he was back in the Ancient One's tea room. However, unlike before, this time the tea room was exactly the same as Sherlock remembered.

There was absolutely no sign of a fight in the entire tea room. More importantly, the Ancient One, who had previously appeared as a homebody, had disappeared!

Instead, the Ancient One, with an air of superiority, sat quietly in front of the small tea table, holding a cup of steaming tea in her hand, as if she had known Sherlock was coming all along, and was sitting quietly by the tea table waiting.

Looking at the Ancient One, who had the air of a master, Sherlock's eyes were fixed on the wall behind her.

In Sherlock's memory, that wall shouldn't exist! Or rather, behind that wall is most likely the Ancient One's secret base!

After taking a deep breath, Sherlock managed to control his emotions, plopped down opposite the Ancient One, and stared at her with a dark expression.

How many times has this happened?

Upon hearing Sherlock's words, Gu Yi, who had been calmly drinking tea, paused for a moment, but quickly recovered and smiled as he spoke to Sherlock.

"It seems you've sensed something's wrong."

Faced with the Ancient One's affirmative question, Sherlock rolled his eyes in annoyance. If he couldn't notice this, he would really be a fool.

It's important to understand that while the combined power of the Infinity Stones is considerable, having more isn't necessarily better.

Normally, the more Infinity Stones you possess, the less power you can wield from a single Infinity Stone, just like Thanos when he had more and more stones on his Infinity Gauntlet.

This isn't a limitation; it's simply that the brain's processing power can't keep up.

Sherlock is the same, but compared to Thanos who controls the stones with the Infinity Gauntlet, Sherlock's mastery of the two Infinity Stones far surpasses that of anyone else in the universe.

However, this does not mean that Sherlock can combine the power of the two gems.

However, it was obvious that during the battle just now, Sherlock almost subconsciously fused the power of the Space Stone and the Reality Stone, and his movements were incredibly smooth and skillful, as if he had performed this operation countless times.

The problem is that Sherlock has no memory of using both gems at the same time!

This alone proves that he has fought the Ancient One more than once. If it were only the first time, Sherlock should not be so skilled at it!

The only thing Sherlock couldn't understand was that he had no memory of any of the many battles, all of which had been erased by the Time Stone, but this time, Sherlock clearly knew what had just happened.

Seeing the questioning look on Sherlock's face, as black as the bottom of a pot, Gu Yi calmly put down her teacup and then spoke to Sherlock with composure.

"There's nothing surprising about it. In terms of the laws, the Time Stone is superior to other gems, at least to the Reality Stone and the Space Stone in your possession."

The reason you had no recollection of the previous battle, but retained a complete memory of this one, is, my guess, because the combined power of the Space Stone and the Reality Stone in your possession prevented time from rewinding, or rather, made the rewinding process less than perfect.

Upon hearing the Ancient One's explanation, Sherlock glanced down at the Eye of Agamotto on the Ancient One's chest, which was slightly open and emitting a green light, and his already dark face darkened even further.

"Don't eat the pickled radish, I hate people who play with time!"

After uttering a curse, Sherlock ignored the Ancient One's reaction and kept staring at her calm face, asking her in an annoyed tone.

"Don't change the subject. Honestly, how many times has this happened? Also, what's the deal with that place that looks like it's full of morbid humor and is like a place frequented by reclusive girls?"

Faced with Sherlock's questioning, the Ancient One could only sigh helplessly. With the sigh, the wall behind her shattered as if it were glass.

The secret room that belonged to the Ancient One was once again presented to Sherlock, but compared to how it looked before, the room was undoubtedly much cleaner now.

However, Sherlock was not buying it at all. It was obvious that the Ancient One not only used the Time Stone to turn back time, but may have even paused for a while to clean the room!

"I can't remember exactly, but this has happened quite often since you obtained the Space Stone."

As the secret chamber reappeared before Sherlock, the Ancient One calmly picked up her teacup, sipped her tea, and spoke to Sherlock as if the 'dark crawling' thing from before wasn't her at all.

Seeing the Ancient One's reckless attitude, Sherlock's lips twitched. He began to survey the situation in the secret room, and soon he looked at the Ancient One with a shocked expression.

"A mirrored virtual space? You've built your own secret base within that virtual space?"

When Sherlock asked her question, the Ancient One simply shrugged and didn't reply to Sherlock. Sherlock then understood why the Ancient One had said that such situations often occurred.

The reason is simple: the virtual space created by the mirror space magic will not have any electricity or network signal. If the Ancient One wants to use this secret room, she can only maintain the 'opening' between this space and the real space. Otherwise, the computer with nine ultrawide monitors would be a piece of junk.

Sherlock's lips twitched as he stood up and entered the Ancient One's secret base to begin his tour. In his mind, he marveled at the Ancient One's perverse taste in her collection, while outwardly he relentlessly criticized her.

"Aren't you really afraid that this thing will be discovered by the Sorcerer Supreme later, and that your reputation will be affected?"

"It doesn't matter, just consider it an Easter egg for future generations."

The Ancient One's answer was quite calm, even somewhat composed. After following Sherlock into her secret chamber, she spoke to him.

"Besides, as the Sorcerer Supreme, one must have some hobbies or ways to vent, otherwise life would be too boring, wouldn't it?"

Hearing the Ancient One's words, Sherlock rolled his eyes and pointed at the autographed photo of the mustachioed man surrounded by the three giants, complaining irritably.

"Then your hobby is a bit too perverse."

To Sherlock's surprise, after hearing his complaint, the Ancient One merely narrowed her eyes slightly, her smile remaining unchanged, and directly addressed Sherlock.
