America: A Prodigy of Stereotypes

"Leon, Peter has caused you a lot of trouble, hasn't he?" The gaze in the rearview mirror shifted to Li Qun.
“It’s nothing. Peter’s cold is partly my fault. I made him wear only a thin shirt after his shower. If I had made him wear a jacket, he wouldn’t have caught a cold,” Li Qun said.
“You two get along like brothers, and I understand how you both care about each other,” Uncle Ben said.
Chapter 78 The Chicken Wings Are Amazing
Uncle Ben first drove Li Qun back to Chinatown, then bought some char siu pork at a roast goose shop there before leisurely driving Peter home.
Liqun had dinner with his father. After dinner, Liqun prepared medicine for Peter at his father's place. He took the prepared medicine home, and the next morning he only needed to heat the medicine up and put it in a thermos to take to school for Peter.
Dinner time is the busiest time of day for Chinese restaurants. After my cousin Shuangxi came home from school, my uncle simply cooked two dishes to solve his dinner problem. When Liqun came back, he took the food to eat with his father. My uncle and aunt had to wait until the evening business hours ended before they could have their own dinner.
The only time the family can eat together is in the morning.
"Cousin, you're back."
"I'm back."
Li Qun put the insulated box in the kitchen and the insulated cup in her room. After putting down the insulated cup, Li Qun went into the kitchen to wash the insulated box.
Liqun has two insulated food containers, one for school and one for his father. He cleans both containers himself.
After the insulated box is washed, it is placed in the kitchen. The next morning, the uncle will fill the insulated box with food so that Liqun can pick it up and go.
Cleaning the insulated boxes was like a daily task. After completing the daily task, Liqun went back to his room, while his cousin lay on the sofa in the living room watching TV.
Li Qun glanced at his watch; it was still quite early. He opened the wardrobe and went inside.
"Dr. Banner, isn't it your morning time now?"
Bruce Banner was wearing pajamas, holding a cup of tea with a spoon automatically stirring the black tea.
"Good morning, Liqun," Bruce Banner greeted.
Inside the Holy of Holies, all the windows were covered by curtains, so the darkness outside could not be seen.
"Have you finished reading the book?" Banner asked.
"I've finished reading, I'm here to return the book."
"The progress is pretty fast, let's look at this one next."
Banner picked up the book from the table and handed it to Li Qun, then opened a portal with one hand to send Li Qun away.
You can borrow books from Bruce Banner for free, but you have to pay to have Dr. Banner give a lecture.
Li Qun crawled out of the wardrobe, turned on the desk lamp, sat down, and began to read, occasionally looking up words in the dictionary, diligently studying on his own.
……
……
Saturday morning, at the Osborne house.
In the spacious kitchen, Li Qun was teaching Harry how to make cola chicken wings, Peter and Gwen were also there, and Duke Leopold was watching with great interest.
"That completes the task."
"Because they are very fresh chicken wings, the taste won't be too bad."
Li Qun poured the finished cola chicken wings into a plate, and Harry and the others picked up the chicken wings one by one to taste them, licking their fingers after they finished eating.
“They got off too easy,” Harry said.
“Don’t say that, Harry. You haven’t even made yours yet. What if you mess it up? Frye might end up with burnt chicken wings,” Li Qun said.
"Will I fail?" Harry asked confidently.
Harry rolled up his sleeves and got to work. He gently scored the chicken wings, heated the pan, and started frying them. Once the wings were golden brown on both sides, he poured in cola, added ginger slices and scallions to the pan, simmered it over medium heat for a while, and finally reduced the sauce over high heat.
"How about it? Aren't I talented?" Harry looked at his masterpiece.
“I’ll try it…okay.” Li Qun commented on Harry’s cola chicken wings.
Peter and Gwen took turns making cola chicken wings. After all four of them finished, they set off together for Fleiss's house.
They made a ton of cola chicken wings, but they managed to eat them all themselves. Chicken wings are one of the least disliked foods at parties.
When they arrived at their destination, Harry didn't rush to get out of the car, but instead began to talk to Bernard.
“Bernard, come over as soon as I call you. Tell him my father needs me to come home, and that Peter, Leon, and Gwen also have things to do at home,” Harry said.
“Young Master, this is a bit too obvious,” Bernard said calmly.
“Bernard, do you have any good suggestions?” Harry asked.
“I’ll go back and get Mr. Leopold. I’ll come and take you and Mr. Peter away, and Mr. Leopold will take Mr. Leon and Miss Gwen away,” Bernard said.
"That's fine too."
“No, Leo doesn’t have a driver’s license, how did he take Leon and Gwen away?” Harry asked.
“Mr. Leopold may not have a driver’s license, but he can ride a horse and drive a carriage. He will come by carriage,” Bernard said.
"Driving a horse-drawn carriage?"
A big question mark appeared above Harry Osborne's head.
He was puzzled; wasn't it a bit too old-fashioned for Duke Leopold to arrive in a carriage?
“That’s fine. It’ll be good to give Frye and the others a little aristocratic shock.” Harry opened the car door and got out. Peter, Lillian, and Gwen were waiting for him in front of Frye’s house.
Peter rang the doorbell, and Fleiss's father opened the door to greet him.
Seeing the people attending the weekend party at Frye's house, Li Qun and his friends realized that this party organized by Frye was different from what they had imagined; in addition to them, there were also adults present.
“Ms. Rosie, and Dr. Otto!!”
With the school teachers present, Peter felt much more at ease, and it was unlikely that Frye would cause any trouble.
“Peter, Lyon, you’re here quite early,” Dr. Otto greeted his Gemini students.
“Surprised? Actually, I wasn’t planning on coming, but Rosie wanted me to.” Dr. Otto smiled.
"Dr. Otto, these are the cola chicken wings we brought. Please try them."
Li Qun placed the cola chicken wings they brought on the table, but Dr. Otto had no intention of tasting them, even though they didn't look very appealing.
The four of them walked through the restaurant to the backyard. Flash was chatting with several teachers with a formulaic smile on his face. Flash spotted Peter and Li Qun out of the corner of his eye and immediately slipped out of the teachers' group and stood next to Peter.
"What's going on? Why is the headmaster here?" Harry asked Flash in a low voice.
“It’s all my dad’s fault; he’s the one who invited the teachers,” Flash said in a low voice.
"Does anyone else know there's a teacher at the party?" Harry chuckled with a hint of schadenfreude.
“No.” Flah shook his head.
"Hopefully they won't escape at the speed of light when they arrive." Li Qun and Peter laughed as well.
“You’re not getting away either.” Frye reached out and hooked his arms around Harry and Peter’s necks.
"Let's go get something to eat."
Fries pushed Harry and Peter into the kitchen.
At the dining table, the school team coach was enjoying cola chicken wings, his eyes shining as he ate.
"Flash, these chicken wings are absolutely delicious!" The coach gave Flash a thumbs up.
Chapter 79 Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A B A
Otto Octavius sucked his fingers as the school teachers gathered around the dining table, finishing off the cola chicken wings that Li Qun and his friends had brought, leaving only chicken bones. Everyone had a look of unfinished business on their faces.
"Children, could you make some more? The chicken wings you brought taste so delicious. This is the first time I've ever had such good chicken wings."
Fleiss's father affectionately put his arm around Peter's shoulder, and the thin Peter looked as helpless as a chick in his father's arms.
It's clear that Flames inherited his father Harrison's strong physique.
“Flash, are there any chicken wings left in the fridge?” Harrison asked.
"That's all." Fleiss took a box of frozen chicken wings from the refrigerator; the box contained eight wings in total.
“Tell me what materials you need, and I’ll go buy them,” Harrison asked Peter and the others.
“Cola and beer, ginger and garlic,” Li Qun said.
"Wait a moment." Harrison released Peter, grabbed his car keys, and went out.
Dr. Otto quietly pulled Li Qun to a corner.
"Is it really possible to make these delicious chicken wings with just cola, beer, ginger, and garlic?" Dr. Otto asked.
"Of course."
"Because they are frozen chicken wings, not fresh ones, beer is needed to remove the fishy smell of frozen chicken wings. Ginger and garlic also have the effect of removing the fishy smell, but they also provide a special flavor to the chicken wings. The role of cola is to color the chicken wings and provide a caramel flavor," Li Qun explained to Dr. Otto.
"You should guard your secret chicken wing recipe. Your cola chicken wings are enough for you to open a fast food restaurant like McDonald's," Dr. Otto said earnestly to Li Qun.
“That’s unlikely, because the recipe for cola chicken wings is completely public knowledge, not a secret that someone is keeping to themselves,” Li Qun said.
"Are you serious?" Dr. Otto was skeptical.
"Dr. Otto, you can go to the university and ask a few international students from Aurora University. Any Aurora student who can cook will definitely be able to make this cola chicken wings."
"Ok, I trust you."
Frank's father, Harrison, returned with the chicken wings he had bought, and a group of people gathered in the kitchen to watch Li Qun and his friends demonstrate how to make cola chicken wings.
Harrison bought fresh chicken wings, skipping the thawing step.
"Could you turn off the smoke alarm? Just in case." Li Qun looked up at the kitchen ceiling.
"Leave it to me."
Harrison brought a ladder and turned off the smoke alarm in the kitchen.
"How many chicken wings are there here?" Peter asked, looking at the small mountain of chicken wings and drumsticks.
“One hundred pairs of wings and wing roots,” Harrison said with a smile.
"Don't worry, we won't leave it all to you. Wouldn't it be fun to let everyone at the party try it out?"
