“We might end up eating minced meat with a very strong fishy smell,” Li Qun said, shaking his head.

During exam week, several people didn't rush to class as usual. This week, coming to school only involved exams and self-study, which was very boring.

“Brothers, I have something to say.” Gwen spoke, and Peter and Li Qun immediately looked at her.

“I can’t lend you the car; my dad insisted,” Gwen said with a hint of regret.

“It’s okay, I can still borrow my dad’s Mazda,” Li Qun said.

"Gwen, did your father say anything to you?" Li Qun asked with concern.

“He didn’t say anything about me, but he did say a lot of bad things about Wade,” Gwen said.

“When Wade went to return the car, he might have said something he shouldn’t have,” Li Qun said.

“My dad said he almost lost my car keys, but I have a spare key with him. Anyway, my dad can definitely get my car back after going there yesterday,” Gwen said.

“Mr. Wilson’s luck has been fluctuating a lot lately,” Li Qun said.

"Does it mean having bad luck one minute and good luck the next?" Gwen asked.

"Yes."

……

……

Yesterday, Wade met with his ex-wife Natasha again. Wade and Natasha played three games in total, with Natasha winning two and losing one.

Wade got to know Natasha all over again.

After all these years apart, Natasha seems to have fully unleashed the power within the blood of the Russian fighting spirit.

The second game was a competitive eating contest between the two players, seeing who could eat the most. Wade won this game.

The third game was proposed by Natasha, and Wade didn't refuse, feeling that he could continue to win. They were competing to see who could drink more.

Halfway through their drinking duel, it turned into a vomiting contest. Both men vomited up everything they'd eaten in the previous round, with Wade even vomiting on the hotel manager Winston's suit. Fortunately, Winston was a gentleman and didn't mind the unintentional mistake.

“Guess what John’s reaction will be when he opens the door and sees the two of us standing there?” Wade asked Natasha, who was wearing a cold expression, with a cheeky grin.

“He will close the door immediately,” Natasha replied.

The door opened, and John Wick frowned as he scrutinized Wade and Natasha, who stood in the doorway, their scents mingling somewhat.

“I was talking to Helen about your situation yesterday, and today the parties involved have come knocking on our door,” John Wick said, looking at Natasha.

“I wasn’t planning on coming; Wade stole my taxi,” Natasha said.

"How is Mary?" Wade smiled at John.

"Come in."

"I'll have to prepare two more breakfasts today." John walked into the kitchen and came to Helen's side.

"Who?"

Helen glanced towards the living room and saw Wade with a stunning red-haired woman.

“Wade’s ex-wife, Natasha,” John introduced quietly.

"Isn't she dressed so lightly? Isn't she cold outside?" Helen asked softly.

“Natasha is half Russian, so she probably isn’t afraid of the cold,” John replied quietly.

Chapter 223 The Funny Man

"John, something terrible has happened to me."

“How bad will it be?” John Wick asked Wade.

Is it any worse than having Wade knock on the door every morning? John Wick thought to himself.

“My apartment was broken into and ransacked, the locks are all broken, so I’m staying in a hotel for the time being,” Wade told John.

"Don't worry, I won't ask to stay at your house."

“If you want to come and stay, the only place we can save for you is the sofa in the basement,” John Wick said to Wade.

"Wade, can you manage in a hotel?" Helen asked with concern.

“I can stay until the end of Thanksgiving holiday! And my roommate is Natasha, what a coincidence,” Wade said to Helen with a smile.

“I think this is terrible,” Natasha said.

John Wick glanced at Natasha across the table and guessed which hotel Wade was referring to: the Continental Hotel.

"Wade, did you call the police?" Helen asked.

"I forgot."

“But I didn’t lose anything, so calling the police is fine,” Wade said.

"Is nothing really lost?" John Wick asked.

“Of course.” Wade gave John Wick a meaningful look.

"John, may I leave some of my things at your house?"

“You have to keep your important things yourself,” John Wick said.

“It’s nothing important; my most important things are all on me.”

Wade raised his hand and pointed to the suit he had tricked into wearing. Helen, seeing Wade's gesture, thought that Wade was referring to his "heart".

The little Labrador ran under the table; it was playing a chase game with Miss Marie Page Vanvance.

"Is this the puppy that Wade was talking about, the one you keep?"

Natasha shifted her body slightly to the side and glanced under the table. The little Labrador looked at Natasha.

“It’s all Wade’s fault. He was the one who started having dogs first. And I never imagined I’d have to take care of his little dog now,” John Wick said.

"Do you hate dogs?" Natasha asked.

“John just doesn’t know how to get along with cute little animals. You didn’t see how clueless John was the day he adopted Stuart,” Helen said to Natasha, a smile spreading across her face.

"What do you mean it's my fault for getting a dog first?"

“It was clearly your idea to raise it,” Wade said to John.

“John, can I borrow your car later? I need to move my things from the apartment,” Wade said.

"Is Natasha going with you?" John Wick asked.

“She has a sister she’s going to visit, I’ll drive her in your car.”

John Wick gave Wade a long look.

He believed that Wade wanted to borrow his car to give Natasha a ride. Wade was still hung up on Natasha and hoped to rekindle their relationship.

"Watch where you're going, I don't want to be in the news for my car."

John Wick pointed out where he kept his car keys to Wade, and Wade nodded happily.

If John Wick's car were to crash on a New York street, it would definitely make the news, because his car was a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429.

"Here's a house key too, Helen and I are going out in a bit."

“John, you’re my best friend,” Wade said.

"You may only have me as a friend."

"No, I have other friends, like Peter and Li Qun."

“You could go to school and become a teacher; you might get along better with New York teenagers,” John Wick said.

"I don't teach regular students."

After breakfast, John and Helen took their two dogs for a walk, while Wade drove John's car to take Natasha to meet her sister Yelena.

Yelena stayed at home and didn't go to school. Her English wasn't very good, and she hadn't yet integrated into the American environment.

"Is this the place? Her adoptive father's family is quite well-off."

"Is it a family of four living together?" Wade asked Natasha in the passenger seat from the driver's seat.

“Yes.” Natasha hesitated for a moment, then remained in the car, observing Yelena’s current situation from inside.

"..." Wade looked at Natasha, then tilted his head to look at the house Natasha was looking at. He opened the car door and got out of the car.

"Wade, get back in the car!"

Natasha was not as quick as Wade; in just a few seconds, Wade was already standing in front of the door and pressing the doorbell.

The doorbell rang, and Natasha, who had come running, could only stand in front of the door as well.

“The essential quality for becoming a legendary assassin is decisiveness,” Wade said with a smile, turning back to Natasha.

The door opened; Yelena opened it, and a little girl was hiding behind the door at the end of the corridor, peeking at the entrance.

"Natasha~~!!!"

Yelena excitedly lunged at Natasha, who hid behind Wade.

"An occupational hazard?" Wade said.

Professional assassins generally dislike close contact with others, not even animals. Wade is an exception; he enjoys interacting with people.

"Who are you?" Yelena looked at Wade, her eyes filled with hostility.

“I’m your sister Natasha’s ex-husband. I’m a New Yorker, you know?”

"So it was you..." Yelena carefully observed Wade, imprinting Wade Wilson's appearance in her mind.

"Don't even think about doing anything to me. I know what you're planning."

Wade crouched down and spoke to Yelena, who appeared to be only 155cm tall.

"Never mind, I still want to thank you. Otherwise, I wouldn't have come to New York," Yelena said.

Are you the only two people at home?

Wade glanced at the little girl hugging a teddy bear at the end of the corridor.

"No," Yelena denied.
