America: A Prodigy of Stereotypes

These are three publications that only adults can buy, usually located in a specific corner of the bookstore.
“Look at you, Peter.”
"Her ears started to turn red."
Peter quickly put the magazine on the table and looked away.
“If I had a son, I wouldn’t discipline you as strictly as Ben did,” Philip Watson laughed.
"Peter, don't you have any 'bad' friends at school?"
Peter shook his head; the nausea he had felt from reading the old news had been dispelled by these adult publications.
"Schools should have taught that, things like physiology. Peter, were you daydreaming in class?"
“I wasn’t daydreaming, Uncle Philip. I think these things are private matters that only the person involved should know.” Peter’s face turned red from his ears.
"What an honest kid."
"But I bet you'll be a completely different person after you graduate from college, the exact opposite of who you are now."
"You are a teenager who is suppressing yourself now. Four years from now, you will be a young adult who is expressing yourself every day."
“I have to go back,” Peter said, pointing to the door.
"and many more."
Philip Watson smiled and picked up a few magazines from the desk, pointing to the covers with his finger.
What part of the house do you find most appealing?
"Don't overthink it, I want to know your first impression."
"This question concerns my work, and I want to know what a teenager like you is thinking, Peter."
Peter looked embarrassed, glancing at the magazine cover with his head slightly lowered.
"leg."
"Very long legs."
"Proportion and curves".
Philip Watson nodded.
"And what about here?"
Philip Watson pointed out the rest of the magazine cover with his finger.
“The style of the clothes,” Peter added.
"Tasteful."
"Fine, I'll let you go."
"Here's a magazine for you, Peter. You must keep it safe; it's a limited edition."
"That won't be necessary," Peter politely declined.
"It's a thank you gift for helping me snag a laptop this morning."
“No matter where I put it, Aunt May will find it. Once she finds it, it will vanish without a trace,” Peter said earnestly to Philip Watson.
"Okay, then I'll keep it with me for you."
"You can come anytime. I can give you a key to my house."
"Why?" Peter glanced warily at Philip Watson.
"I'm not one of those perverts in the old newspapers."
“I’ve started drinking, and I can’t hold my liquor. Peter, if you have the key, you could call the morgue for me if I’m ever feeling unwell,” Philip Watson said.
“Then don’t drink,” Peter said.
“If I don’t drink, I’ll go find something more powerful. You know what I mean. I know you’re good at chemistry.”
“Okay.” Peter’s feelings were complicated.
"Don't bother calling me to lunch. I need to work on this new computer; it might take all day."
Peter nodded again.
“I can help you, Uncle Philip, I know computers.”
"I know that too. I was already familiar with computers when you were still playing house with Mary Jane!"
Peter left Mary Jane's house, turned around, took a few steps, opened the door, and went back home. Uncle Ben and Aunt May were examining the things they had bought that morning.
"Peter, could you take a look?" Uncle Ben pushed up his glasses and handed Peter a palm-sized instruction manual.
“We need to take these parts apart; we can’t just put them back together right away,” Peter said.
"Let me do it."
“I tightened the screws too much, Peter. If you can’t tighten them, let me do it,” Uncle Ben said.
Peter took the screwdriver and gently turned it, unscrewing the screw that Uncle Ben had tightened.
"You're quite strong." Uncle Ben chuckled.
Peter assembled the parts one by one according to the instructions, and finally got a delicate and beautiful shoe cabinet.
“Where should I put it? I’ll move it there,” Peter said.
“Right there,” Uncle Ben said, pointing down the hallway.
"I'll go get the slippers."
There was a new shoe cabinet and several new pairs of slippers. Uncle Ben told Peter to take off his shoes, put them in the shoe cabinet, and put on the new slippers.
"Are you comfortable?" Uncle Ben asked Peter.
“It’s warm, but I’m a little worried about the smell,” Peter replied.
"Put on another pair of socks and you'll be fine."
Uncle Ben sat down on the new shoe rack and changed into new slippers for himself, feeling the same way as Peter.
“Uncle Ben, it smells good,” Peter whispered to Uncle Ben.
“This is an occupational hazard for office workers; you’ll have it too in the future,” Uncle Ben laughed.
Peter looked down at his feet. He didn't have much of a problem with sweating anymore, or rather, his sweating problem had disappeared after he was bitten by the spider.
Chapter 233 Nothing is Missing
"Dad, why are you still using this old-fashioned phone?"
“I heard from a friend that Stark’s smartphones are being used by the government to steal personal information, so older feature phones are safer,” Walter White told his daughter Stephanie.
"Is this a rumor?"
“Stark Industries is the largest partner of the U.S. military, and there are no rumors about that,” Walter White said.
Stephanie glanced at her younger brother, Walter, who was playing with his new phone, and at her own phone, which had just been fitted with a new protective case, and felt an urge to throw away Stark's phone.
"You don't need to care about this."
“Who would listen to the secrets of two minors?” Walter White chuckled.
"Sister, can you help me set up my computer? How do I connect Stark's laptop to my phone?"
On the morning of Black Friday, the White family also participated in the Black Friday shopping spree in New York, where they could buy exclusive items that were previously unavailable in the South.
The happiest person in the family was little Walter. His parents not only bought him a new cell phone, a laptop, and a home game console, but also all the video game discs available on store shelves, and finally, a scientific calculator for his school use.
Walter White was very generous to his family, even though little Walter White didn't need a laptop.
"That way you can transfer the photos from your phone to your computer." Stephanie helped little Walter get it done in a few minutes.
"Is there anything else I can help you with?"
“I want to open a social media account,” Walter Jr. said.
"That's simple, but you need to register an email address first."
"What are you planning to share on there?" Stephanie typed on the keyboard.
“What I eat every day,” Walter replied.
Stephanie glanced at her mother Skylar in the kitchen as she prepared lunch, and her brother shared that the meals their mother made every day might attract some attention.
“I’ve added you on social media. This is me,” Stephanie showed Walter Jr.
"Sister, could you help me add Li Qun and Peter as social media friends?"
"I'll send them a message and ask them to accept your friend request." Stephanie clicked the mouse a few times and then sent messages to Li Qun, Peter, and Harry on her phone.
“Sister, you forgot Gwen,” Walter said.
“You’re a boy, so if you want to add girls as friends, you’ll have to do it yourself,” Stephanie said to Walter.
“Then I’ll try it myself.” Little Walter thought his sister made a good point.
After receiving the message from Stephanie, Li Qun, Peter, and Harry quickly accepted Walter White's friend request. Walter White then found Gwen's social media account from among the friends that the three of them followed, and sent her a friend request, stating in the request note that he was Walter White.
Little Walter White thought he would have to wait several hours for Gwen to notice his friend request, but to his surprise, Gwen accepted his request a few minutes later and sent him a message.
“Gwen happens to be online,” Stephanie said.
Little Walter browsed through the social media feeds of several people. Harry posted the most, including not only photos but also videos. Little Walter saw several KO moments from the street fighting tournament "Red Spider".
“Tomorrow…” Little Walter looked at his sister Stephanie. He knew that his sister would be going to the top floor of the Fisk Tower with her friends to watch the final championship battles.
“Dad, are you free tomorrow?” Stephanie asked Walter White.
“I’m on holiday tomorrow and the day after, so of course I’m free. Do you want to go watch the game?” Walter White asked with a smile.
"Isn't it a bit inappropriate to leave Mom home alone?" Walter White said, then looked at Skylar.
“We can book a table at a fancy restaurant and try it out after the game,” suggested Mom Skylar.
"Good suggestion."
All three family members nodded to Skylar.
