America: A Prodigy of Stereotypes

Li Qun followed behind Vice Principal George, while Harry rested in the school infirmary. The matter of Peter being called to the school clinic had nothing to do with him.
Old George walked to the classroom door, gestured for Li Qun to enter, and gave the teacher inside a wink, signaling him not to make any notes on Li Qun's attendance sheet.
Peter sat down in the last row of the classroom and looked at Li Qun with concern. Li Qun had come from the vice principal's office.
"It's alright now."
"Good students receive preferential treatment."
“Principal George said this shouldn’t be a factor affecting Harry and me on our SAT exams,” Li Qun whispered to Peter.
Is Harry feeling better?
"The doctor gave Harry an adrenaline injection, and Harry also had his own allergy medication. The swelling has gone down."
"Harry can lie down until school is over in the afternoon."
"Didn't Harry get his parents called either?" Peter asked.
"Is Harry's father an ordinary person? Only our school doctor is unaware of Harry's family situation. Harry is also registered with Principal George," Li Qun said.
"I was so worried." Peter breathed a sigh of relief.
Gwen lay on her desk, tilting her head and listening quietly to Li Qun and Peter whispering in class; she was worried about them too.
After the two finished talking, Gwen wrote a small note and threw it to Li Qun.
The note landed precisely on Li Qun's desk. Li Qun opened the note, picked up a pen, and began writing a reply to Gwen.
Gwen reminded Lich that their top priority right now was the SAT exam, and everything else had to take a backseat to this final test.
Otherwise, this final exam will truly become the "final" exam.
Gwen hopes they can all successfully apply to the universities they want.
The last SAT exam of the year is scheduled for December 1st, which is only a few days away.
Li Qun threw the note back. On it, he asked Gwen if they needed to organize a study group after school to study the SAT exam properly.
Gwen opened the note, read Li Qun's reply, and nodded to Li Qun.
Seeing Gwen nod, Li Qun also nodded.
Peter, sandwiched in the middle, nodded in agreement.
Gwen looked at Peter and shook her head.
After school, the three went to the clubroom. Harry had been in the clubroom ever since he came out of the school infirmary.
"Come to the meeting," Gwen called to Harry.
"A meeting? What kind of meeting?"
"Exam Preparation Research Association"
"Do we still need to study the SAT?" Harry asked.
“It’s about researching the location and start time of the exam, as well as things to pay attention to during the exam,” Gwen told Harry.
“Where’s Stephanie? Didn’t you call her?” Harry asked Gwen.
“She said she had everything ready and was going home early to get rid of the peanut butter,” Gwen told Harry.
"Peanut butter..."
"Harry, forget about the peanut butter for now, let's deal with the exam first."
"We need to make sure we can find the exam room, find our seats inside, and know what to do if we encounter any unexpected situations during the exam."
"Although the exam guide explains it, we cannot let our guard down."
“We’re definitely smart enough to spot the problems, but you can’t be sure the person who set up the exam is smart,” Li Qun reminded Harry.
“I’m starting to get nervous. Will they kick people out of the exam room?” Harry asked.
Chapter 248 Bruce is furious again.
Li Qun will take the SAT I and SAT II exams in December, both of which are mandatory requirements for top universities.
Some students did not perform well in the two exams in October, so they can take the retakes in November and December to provide better results to the colleges and universities.
After carefully discussing the things to pay attention to on the day of the exam, in addition to the test paper, the group left the school.
On the school's bulletin board, there were flyers posted by local New York schools.
Local colleges and universities held in-person recruitment presentations and open days in Queens, allowing interested students to directly meet with admissions officers and learn about the exclusive admissions policies for local students.
The admissions presentations and campus open days last for a long time.
Next to the brochures for local New York colleges and universities were brochures for military academies and reserve officer programs, with application periods for Navy, Army, and Air Force programs also taking place within these two months.
The flyer concisely outlined the various details, including scheduling a physical fitness test and applying for a background check...
Some of the students in Li Qun's class made this choice: they could go to university and become military officers at the same time.
If Frye hadn't been a star in rugby, he would have also signed up for the Reserve Officers Program.
Surprisingly, going to college was a breeze for everyone.
The Ivy League is an athletic conference comprised of eight top private universities in the northeastern United States.
While eating in the school cafeteria, Li Qun overheard others gossiping that Flash had secured a spot in the top university without any effort.
Whether the story was true or not, Li Qun did not envy Flash.
"I'm back."
"I am back."
"You didn't eat anything on the way, did you?" Auntie asked with concern.
"My stomach is empty," Li Qun replied with a smile.
"Shuangxi's weight has never gone down. I thought it was because he had trouble losing weight, but it turns out he's always sneaking food outside," Auntie complained to Liqun.
“Aunt, Shuangxi’s weight has stabilized now, he doesn’t need to lose weight,” Liqun said.
“How can that be? Look at his belly, it’s as big as a woman who’s six months pregnant,” his aunt said.
"Is Shuangxi upstairs?" Liqun asked.
"He's upstairs."
"Aunt, you're hurting Shuangxi's feelings by saying that."
"If he obediently controls his diet, I won't say anything to him."
"Give me the lunchbox, I'll wash it for you."
Li Qun opened his backpack, took out the insulated box and handed it to his aunt. His aunt went into the kitchen, and his uncle came out of the kitchen.
The uncle took out a cigarette case from his pocket, put a cigarette in his mouth, glanced at Li Qun, and went outside to smoke. Li Qun followed him out.
"The vice principal called me today, and I know what happened at school today," the uncle said to Liqun.
How does Daddy's braised peanuts taste?
"Uncle, is that what you're concerned about?" Li Qun asked.
"Otherwise what else?"
"Just be more careful next time. Don't be too eager to share. You should keep the good things for yourself."
"Some people are born without blessings. It's true that their God says they are sinful, and I feel that their allergies to everything they eat are proof of that."
"Allergies...which means we have to take their health conditions into account when making food at our restaurant."
"By the way, Dad hired a new employee. I met him today, Liqun. Do you know him? I don't think he's a good person."
"Keep a close eye on him and don't let him secretly take things from Dad's shop and sell them."
“It’s Wade, right?” Li Qun laughed.
"That seems to be the name," the uncle nodded.
“He’s not just Dad’s new employee, he also rents Dad’s room, and most of his salary goes to Dad for rent,” Li Qun said.
"What? Is this Wade Dad's illegitimate son? Why are you treating him so well?" The uncle was somewhat incredulous.
“Uncle, you’ll know if you call Dad and Wade over for a drink and a chat,” Li Qun said.
"Could you call out for me? I'll get ready."
After finishing his cigarette, the uncle turned and went back to the kitchen, while Liqun walked towards his father's pawnshop.
Pushing open the door to the pawn shop, Wade, wearing glasses, was holding a copy of "The Art of War" and reading it.
"The Art of War? Wade, you're reading military strategy now?" Li Qun teased Wade.
“This book is very good. Didn’t Dr. Banner say that I need to actively integrate? I’ll start by reading books.” Wade looked up at Li Qun.
"Can you believe it? This book was actually written by someone from two thousand years ago."
“I know it was probably written around 512 BC.”
"You have a great memory. You've seen this before?"
"No." Li Qun shook his head.
"You really should take a look, shouldn't you?"
"My uncle wants to invite you and Dad for drinks. Are you coming tonight?" Li Qun asked.
"Come."
"What kind of wine do you want to drink?" Wade asked with a smile.
"What would you like to drink? Beer is plentiful, and we also have baijiu (Chinese liquor), but we don't have any high-end red wine," Li Qun said.
“Drink Dad’s wine,” Wade said.
"I'll go ask Dad."
Is Dad home?
"Dad's over there."
