America: A Prodigy of Stereotypes

“We can continue our conversation while we eat. I know the habits of you Aurora people,” Betty said.
"Do you need any help?" Gwen asked.
"Please peel the potatoes for me, and soak the broccoli in salt water..."
Gwen and Stephanie went into the kitchen to help, while Peter stood guard by the kitchen door.
"Son, what are your thoughts?" Blonsky asked Peter with a smile.
“I just remembered something,” Peter said.
"A long time ago, Nike launched its own superhero mascot, but this superhero only existed for a month before disappearing."
"Nike Hero has a red Nike logo on his chest. He shoots commercials with sports stars to showcase his amazing athletic abilities."
"Nike Hero performed exceptionally well, everyone loved him, but he still disappeared."
“Nike says that people don’t need a fictional hero; the real heroes are the athletes who fight hard on the field,” Peter said.
“You know about something so obscure? Now I remember, this happened back in my high school days.” Bronsky laughed.
"That mascot superhero has a head that looks like an alien's, and it's really cool."
“Peter, can you let me experience your abilities?” Bronsky asked.
"Do not."
“You’re with the military, I won’t let you know how powerful I am,” Peter said.
“Watch fewer science fiction movies,” Bronsky said.
"If it weren't for Dr. Banner, the military would have sent a special forces team to capture Spider-Man the first time he stopped a crime in daytime New York, right?" Peter asked.
"I do not know."
“But the people who want to arrest you are definitely not just the national security department, but also major research institutions and companies,” Bronsky said.
“Now that you know who we are, will you use our families to threaten us into cooperating with your work?” Peter asked.
“The military I represent wouldn’t, but this lady might be; she’s from the CIA.” Bronsky looked at Betty Ross.
“I joined the CIA just to find Bruce,” Betty said.
“How dare you say the military wouldn’t?” Gwen asked, listening to the commotion outside the kitchen door.
"A super soldier like me wasn't born from buying a lottery ticket like you guys."
“Now, as long as resources are invested, super soldiers can be produced steadily,” Bronsky said.
“The surging evil forces have been found,” Gwen said.
“How could that be? I am a staunch force for safeguarding national security,” Bronsky said.
“America is the most evil country on earth,” Gwen said.
"Do you really want to be at odds with the country?" Bronsky asked.
“Gwen, watch carefully and learn well. This method is called water-oil braising. It produces very little smoke, and almost all vegetables can be cooked this way.” Li Qun drew Gwen’s attention back to the stove.
Half an hour later, the food was ready and served.
“In the past, when I argued with my parents, I would lock myself in my room, but in the end, they would still come back and call me to dinner.”
"As long as we can still sit down and eat together, no problem is a problem."
Li Qun picked up his bowl and chopsticks, inviting everyone to eat.
Chapter 362 The Best Hero Team
Three months ago, before they graduated, Li Qun and Peter often heard others say that their lives would undergo earth-shattering changes after graduation.
Peter admitted that his life had indeed changed dramatically after graduation.
Peter thought he could hide his Spider-Man identity well, and unless something like Uncle Ben happened again, he wouldn't reveal his identity to his best friends.
“I have to apologize to you, Peter.”
“When you started patrolling the streets at night, swinging on your webs, Dr. Banner and I were using magic to monitor your nightly activities,” Liqun told Peter.
"We also collected your spider silk and examined the molecular structure of your spider silk proteins using nuclear magnetic resonance."
"The red spider mask you wore when you participated in the street fighting tournament was made from your spider silk protein."
"What?!" Peter stared blankly at Li Qun, holding his bowl.
“Dr. Banner and I respect your privacy. We have never peeked into your bedroom,” Li Qun said.
Peter breathed a sigh of relief.
“Colonel Bronsky, Dr. Banner and I were watching you on the day you underwent the serum enhancement surgery.”
"Does Bruce Banner have some kind of supernatural event radar?" Bronsky asked.
“Dr. Banner has the ability to foresee the future,” Li Qun said.
“I’m not surprised at all; he must have a crystal ball,” Bronsky said.
“Actually, it’s a television set. Dr. Banner can switch channels to see live broadcasts of different monitored targets,” Li Qun said.
“Where is Banner now? Tell me,” Betty asked Li Qun.
“He will appear before you when the time is right, Ms. Betty,” Li Qun said.
“I can smell him here,” Betty said.
“A super sense of smell?” Peter looked at Li Qun, then at Betty Ross.
Li Qun often complained to Peter about the smells he detected that day, and Peter was used to Li Qun's "super sense of smell." But today, Peter officially upgraded Li Qun's "super sense of smell" in his mind to a superhuman sensory ability on par with his own.
“It’s probably something I brought with me; I was basically Dr. Banner’s lab assistant,” Li Qun said.
“Where do you find the time to be Dr. Banner’s assistant?” Peter asked.
“Just as you can patrol the streets all night, I can spend the whole night in the lab with Dr. Banner doing experiments,” Li Qun replied.
“I’ll be staying here for one night,” Betty Ross said.
"No."
Li Qun, Gwen, Peter, and Stephanie all shook their heads.
“I can pay.”
“Paying money won’t work. You’re a CIA agent, a secret agent. You’re the most dangerous element for us,” Li Qun said.
"Are you in charge of this house?" Betty asked.
“I cook, and Peter, Gwen, and Stephanie all eat my cooking, so I can be,” Li Qun said.
“Yes, Li Qun is right,” Gwen continued, picking up where Li Qun left off.
“Then I will visit you often,” Betty said.
“I will set up a magical barrier in our apartment. If you try anything bad to us, you will encounter something terrifying,” Li Qun said.
“What bad thing would I do?” Betty asked.
“They are spying on us, installing miniature listening devices and miniature cameras, spying on us with binoculars from the apartment across the street, and monitoring our every move in the house with thermal imaging monitors.”
"Did Bruce tell you this?"
That's how it's portrayed in movies.
"Alright, let's stop talking about the movie. Don't take what you see in the movie as your understanding of reality," Betty said irritably.
"Film directors are proud of this!"
“But reality is even more absurd than the movies,” Li Qun said.
“You need to be regulated.”
“You pose a threat to national security,” Betty said.
"After you said those two sentences, are we still allowed to go to school?" Li Qun asked.
“It depends on whether you cooperate,” Betty said.
“Magic can erase a person’s memory, and it’s not difficult at all. If you really want to do that, Dr. Banner will completely erase your memories of him and of us,” Li Qun said.
“Okay, I was just kidding.” Betty smiled at Li Qun.
“For Dr. Banner, the common destiny of mankind is the most important thing; the interests of one country or one group of people are not important,” Li Qun said.
“This is the first time I’ve heard the phrase ‘common destiny of mankind’ from a young person,” Betty said.
“It’s like something another ideology would mention,” Bronsky said.
“Some people can only see what’s happening in the next year or two, while Dr. Banner is focused on the next ten years.”
"Dr. Banner and I both feel that some good things are slipping away from people."
"How about we talk about something lighter?" Gwen asked.
“Peter, your good days are about to begin. We’re going to be an amazing superhero team.” Li Qun turned to look at Peter.
"The team? Who's in it?" Peter asked.
“Of course it’s the four of us! If you encounter a major crisis, I can find you other, even more powerful help,” Li Qun said.
“Do you take on missions? I can offer you some crime-fighting missions, and they're paid,” Betty said.
“Only in New York City,” Li Qun said.
“New York is huge, and all I can offer you are jobs within New York City,” Betty Ross said.
"Ms. Betty, do you hold a high position in the CIA?" Li Qun asked.
“Middle level,” Betty replied.
“Ten years from now, she might be the head of the CIA. Her father is General Ross,” Bronsky laughed.
After dinner, Bronsky and Betty left the apartment.
A portal opened, and Bruce Banner and Wade emerged from it. Peter, Gwen, and Stephanie were seeing something like this for the first time.
"Good evening, kids." Wade smiled and raised his hand in greeting. He was wearing the Deadpool combat suit, but without a hood, his face was exposed.
