After Director Blake left, John read the contents of the document again carefully.

The documents Director Black gave him only emphasized that Bruce Banner was a dangerous scientist, but did not explain why he was dangerous.

Besides Bruce Banner, another dangerous individual under high scrutiny from S.H.I.E.L.D. is his former fiancée, Betty Ross.

“We think we saw him at Peter’s birthday party.” Helen sat down next to John and glanced at the photo on the document.

"I remember now."

“Do you think this Dr. Banner might be their tutor?” John joked.

“Possibly,” Helen smiled.

“I’ll go ask them right now,” John said.

"So eager?"

“He is a dangerous person as certified by Chief Black, so we need to make Peter and the others aware of the danger in advance.”

"I'm waiting for you to come home."

“Go to bed on time, don’t wait for me, I might need to look up a lot of things,” John said.

"Be careful." Helen kissed John.

John carefully put on his black suit, tied his tie, and fastened his weapon at his waist before driving to the apartment Peter and his friends shared.

When John Wick stood in front of Peter and the other three's apartment, they had not yet returned.

John used a paperclip to unlock the apartment door, went inside, and carefully checked the apartment for any listening devices or other spy gadgets.

everything is normal.

John looked at the refrigerator, took out a can of chilled Coke, and drank it.

When Li Qun and his three companions returned home, they were startled to find John Wick sitting on the sofa.

Why does it seem like someone comes to the apartment uninvited every day?

Chapter 367 One Generation and One Generation

"We need to upgrade our door locks."

"I don't think this is a problem with the lock; it's a problem with the people."

As Li Qun and Gwen were talking, they both looked at John Wick sitting on the sofa.

“It is indeed a human problem.” John stood up.

“Do you know you’ve gotten yourself into trouble?” John Wick asked.

“There are many kinds of trouble. I wonder what kind of trouble we’ve gotten ourselves into?” Li Qun asked.

“The most troublesome type is when you have relationships with people you shouldn’t have,” John Wick said.

“They’re obviously here for Dr. Banner,” Li Qun said to Peter.

“You know.”

"Someone asked me to inquire about the depth of your relationship with Bruce Banner, this dangerous scientist, and what his former fiancée talked about with you."

John stated the purpose of his visit directly.

He felt that his relationships with Peter, Gwen, and Liqun made it unnecessary for him to hide anything.

“John, which national security agency sent you to ask us this? Dr. Banner’s ex-fiancée, Betty, is with the CIA. She’s contacting us to find out where Dr. Banner is,” Li Qun said.

"CIA? What was your response?"

“To answer truthfully, we don’t know,” Li Qun said.

"I now work for S.H.I.E.L.D., officially known as the Strategic Homeland Defense, Attack and Logistics Agency, SHIELD."

"Never heard of it." Li Qun shook his head, but the corners of his mouth turned up slightly, as if he wanted to laugh.

“A secret department, with authority above the FBI and CIA,” John said.

“Would you like to have dinner together? John, can you still go and pick Helen up so we can have dinner together?” Li Qun said.

“Helen can’t be involved in my work,” John said.

"How has she been lately?" Gwen asked with concern.

"is acceptable."

“Dr. Banner’s recent research project is on a cancer-specific drug,” Li Qun said.

“Is Bruce Banner really that good?” John asked.

"He's more than just amazing, he's incredibly amazing. He's one of the smartest people of this century."

“Dr. Banner’s cancer-specific drug has immediate effects and is not limited to one type of cancer, but can treat most cancers,” Li Qun said.

“Now that you mention it, I feel like he’s a dangerous, highly intelligent conman. Only smart people would fall for his tricks,” John said.

“The danger of Dr. Banner is that he is a superhuman,” Li Qun said.

“What superhuman?” John Wick frowned.

"Like in the movies."

"Dr. Banner was exposed to gamma rays in an accidental experiment many years ago, which caused his body to mutate and give him a side that he could not reveal to others."

“He’s being watched by the national security department because he was terrifying when he lost control back then; but now, he’s completely under control and won’t be like that anymore,” Li Qun explained to John.

"So I have the least information," John said, sounding somewhat dissatisfied.

"How did you two meet?" John asked.

“Dr. Banner likes Chinese food. I met him by delivering Chinese takeout to him. He tutored me in high school.” Li Qun made up a reason right off the bat.

John tilted his head; that's what he said when he joked.

"I need to go make dinner now. Let Peter continue talking to you."

Li Qun opened the refrigerator, took out a bunch of ingredients, and went into the kitchen.

“John, is it only about Dr. Banner that you want to ask us?” Peter asked.

"It's about his relationship with you."

"The information says that he hadn't appeared for several years, but now he's mingling with you all and even went to Columbia University as a guest speaker for freshmen."

“Dr. Banner is not a wanted criminal,” Peter said.

"Wade said you are his best friend."

“I don’t think so,” John said.

"Are you aware of Wade's unusual behavior?" Peter asked tentatively.

“What did you find?” John asked Peter.

“He recovered remarkably quickly after his injury,” Peter said.

“Yes.” John nodded.

"Is it just a quick recovery?" Peter asked.

“He got drunk and said he was the son of God and immortal,” John said.

“He told us the same thing,” Peter said.

"Don't believe his nonsense."

"Dr. Banner's experience is incredible, and so is Wade's."

“Peter, your ability to change the subject is too stiff,” John said to Peter.

“What do you think of Spider-Man? He’s just like Dr. Banner,” Peter said.

"You're saying Spider-Man's special abilities also stemmed from an experimental accident?" John asked.

"Does S.H.I.E.L.D. pay attention to Spider-Man?" Peter asked curiously.

“I don’t care,” John Wick said indifferently.

"Why? Spider-Man is a living superhero."

"Just because he is a living superhero."

"As long as he behaves himself as a vigilante, S.H.I.E.L.D. won't bother with him."

"What do you think we should do about Spider-Man? Arrest him and study him? Drive a good guy to the opposite side of the country?" John asked.

“Superhero comics often portray government departments as evil, but S.H.I.E.L.D., where I work, is actually a very righteous department,” John Wick said.

"Is S.H.I.E.L.D. really righteous? Who is the director?" Li Qun asked, peeking out from the kitchen.

“You’ve actually met him, and he’s met you too,” John said.

"No way?" The image of the white-haired bald man, Blake, flashed through Li Qun's mind.

“Was it Mr. Black? He came to visit when the three of us were looking after your house, and we played board games together for several hours,” Li Qun said.

“You guessed it yourself,” John chuckled.

"I understand, S.H.I.E.L.D. is righteous."

"Is the headquarters of S.H.I.E.L.D. located underground in New York?" Li Qun asked.

“I can’t tell you,” John said.

“It’s confirmed, it’s underground in New York City,” Li Qun said.

"Why do I feel like you've suddenly gotten excited?" John Wick asked, looking at Li Qun standing by the kitchen door.

“After graduating from high school, we entered a new phase of life, a phase that was a little too new. We saw a world that was completely different from what we had seen before,” Li Qun said, offering a life philosophy to John Wick.

“It’s also possible that you’re exploring the world too actively, digging into details that others haven’t paid attention to,” John said.

“This is the spirit of scientific exploration; we admire science,” Peter said.

"Do you guys think that Spider-Man who shoots webs and swims between skyscrapers is scientifically accurate?" John quipped.

“It can be explained by science,” Peter nodded and said.
