“My sister warned me that you can only believe half of what Wade says,” Yelena said.

“I train Spider-Man every night, because he has many shortcomings as a superhero,” Wade said.

“So you’re not a superhero,” Lisa said.

"Can you tell us who Spider-Man is?" Yelena asked.

“That won’t do. Haven’t you read the comics? Superheroes have to leave Earth once their true identities are revealed,” Wade said.

"Which superhero is this?" Lisa asked, puzzled.

"Is it Superman?" Yelena wondered as well.

"Why don't you go to school and ask your classmates tomorrow, Monday?" Wade said.

“I don’t like going to school,” Lisa said with a melancholy expression.

Wade was puzzled to see a melancholy expression on a little girl's face.

"What happened at school? Is someone bullying you?" Wade asked with concern.

“My classmates are all idiots, and my teacher is an idiot too,” Lisa said.

“Hmm, is it possible that you’re too smart?” Wade said.

“Really?” Lisa looked at Wade.

“I can talk to your dad and see if you can skip a grade. You’re still in elementary school, and the material you’re learning is pretty basic,” Wade said.

"Yelena, how are you doing at school? Has your sister called or written to you?" Wade then looked at Yelena.

“It’s alright,” Yelena replied.

“Really? Don’t try to fool me,” Wade said.

"What good will it do me if I tell you the truth? I just don't want to make friends or be isolated."

"Yelena, you are different from your peers."

"What I'm worried about is that you'll hurt others."

“You absolutely must control yourself and not bring a gun to school,” Wade said.

Yelena stared at Wade with deadpan eyes; she would never kill her classmate.

Throughout her grade, she had the best grades, especially in science subjects, and she was also a member of the school band. She was ostracized by female classmates who were jealous of her beauty and intelligence, while the male classmates saw her as a cool and aloof winter goddess.

"Would you like to meet my friend?" Wade asked Yelena.

“Your friend? No.” Yelena shook her head in refusal.

Wade's friends are probably not good people.

Chapter 384 Promotion, Salary Increase, and Marriage to a Rich and Beautiful Woman

In the mirror dimension, Peter is practicing weaving spider webs into a paraglider atop the Empire State Building.

After testing, Peter was able to produce seven different types of spider silk proteins on his own, and by combining these seven types of spider silk proteins, he could create even more spider webs with different effects.

Li Qun helped Peter explore the boundaries of his spider abilities; they even built a giant spider web between the World Trade Center towers in a mirror dimension, large enough to hang a helicopter.

Peter was piloting the Spiderweb hang glider when he almost crashed into a building in the complex architectural environment of Manhattan, New York.

"Are you alright, Peter?" Li Qun rushed to the crash site and ripped the tangled clothes off Peter's body.

"It hurts a little."

Peter sat up, and the spiderweb glider became entangled around him. He struggled to break free of the web, but to no avail.

"I'll help you."

Li Qun flicked a flame with his fingertips, burning away the spiderwebs covering Peter's body.

"Isn't it hot?" Peter asked, looking at Li Qun's fingertips.

"This is the fire in my heart; it will not harm me."

“You know, I have an important mission in another dimension, and I’m burned as firewood every morning,” Li Qun said.

"Did you discover it could spontaneously combust while it was burning?" Peter asked.

“It’s because I was burned that I discovered I could vent my inner anger,” Li Qun said.

“I’ve never seen you angry, Liqun,” Peter said.

“I haven’t encountered anything that would make me angry yet,” Li Qun said.

“If something makes you angry, it must be something really bad,” Peter said.

"I think we should call it a day."

“Let’s go back and think about the structure of the spiderweb glider again,” Li Qun said.

"it is good."

Li Qun raised his hand and opened the portal, and the two returned to the real dimension.

Peter sat down, drank a glass of lemonade, and rested for about ten minutes before transforming into Spider-Man, climbing out of the window and leaving the apartment to carry out his daily superhero patrol mission.

The appearance of Spider-Man did indeed deter some villains and also inspired some people full of a sense of justice to take to the streets as masked vigilantes. "Superheroes" without superpowers became active in major cities across the United States.

Some dream-filled high school students plan to first join the military, pass the selection process to become super soldiers, and then become "superheroes" after their discharge.

Tony Stark returned to New York and moved directly into Stark Tower, to the top floor.

"Remember to wake me up at seven in the morning, Johnny."

Tony said to Steve.

"Okay, sir. I'll call you."

“Why call? You can knock on my door,” Tony Stark said.

“But I had already left work before seven o’clock. At seven o’clock, I was doing another job,” Steve replied.

Steve got promoted; now he's in charge of nighttime patrols on the top ten floors of Stark Tower, which is different from before.

In practice, Tony Stark put him on the top floor to do some personal assistant work, limited to evening work hours.

"You have two jobs?"

Tony Stark, reclining on the chair, looked up at Steve, who was dressed in work clothes.

"Yes, sir."

“I’m saving up for my wedding,” Steve replied.

"How much does it cost to hold a wedding?" Tony Stark sat up.

“The wedding itself doesn’t need to cost too much money. What’s important is that my wife and I plan to go on our honeymoon in Europe after the wedding, which will cost a lot of money,” Steve replied.

Tony Stark got up, found his checkbook, picked up a pen, and wrote a check.

Tony Stark placed the check on the table, gesturing for Steve to put it away.

“Johnny, quit your job this morning and work only for me,” Tony Stark said.

Steve picked up the check, saw the number on it, and gasped.

The amount on the check was one hundred thousand dollars.

“I heard from Happy that you’re the champion of the New York Street Fighting Championship, and I’m currently missing a bodyguard,” Tony Stark said.

"Can I go home and talk to my fiancée about it?" Steve asked.

"Of course, I'll have Happy show you his salary and benefits."

“If you want to be my bodyguard, you’ll need to be with me every day,” Tony Stark said.

"What's your other job?" Tony asked.

“I’m a garbage collector,” Steve answered truthfully.

"what?"

Tony Stark paused, thinking he had misheard.

"It may sound uncomfortable, but this work is very meaningful."

Tony Stark felt a pang of regret; he did indeed have a prejudice against garbage collectors.

But the words had already been spoken, and he had previously shown great admiration for Steve, so Tony Stark could only pretend it wasn't true.

"When are you getting married?" Tony Stark asked.

“We plan to do it next spring,” Steve replied.

"There are still six months left."

“If you’ve thought it through, spend the next six months getting training at a professional security company. You can start your bodyguard job after your honeymoon,” Tony Stark said.

That night, the arm-wrestling competition at the party had an aftermath.

Because the focus of the party was Bronsky, he later had a brief physical contest with every man present.

Bronsky easily took down every man at the party, while Steve gave Bronsky a lot of trouble, even making things a bit tricky.

Steve successfully demonstrated his fighting prowess in a friendly sparring match with Bronsky, showing Tony that there was such hidden talent on his turf.

The new-generation super soldier jointly launched by the military and Osborn doesn't seem to be anything special; dealing with Steve, an "ordinary person," is still quite difficult for him.

……

At seven o'clock in the morning, Tony Stark was woken up.

After opening his eyes, his mind gradually came to his senses, and he realized that the person who had woken him up was "Johnny".

"Good morning," Steve greeted.

“Didn’t you say you were going to do garbage collection this morning?” Tony Stark asked.

“I’ve taken the day off,” Steve replied.

“That’s perfect. Can you keep me company today? That sounds a bit odd, and Happy’s with me too,” Tony Stark said.

“I need to call my fiancée again,” Steve said.
