The two went to find two baby hamsters, and suddenly they looked much better.

Puni is ready.

After practicing during the holidays, coupled with Professor McGonagall's strict teaching, he has become very skilled at transforming one creature into another, even surpassing many older students.

Even Professor McGonagall was somewhat surprised by this. She had originally thought that although Puni had a solid foundation, he wouldn't be proficient to this extent.

Puni waved his wand gently, drawing a smooth arc, and pointed it at the little hamster.

The next second, the hamster's body began to change rapidly. Its snow-white fur gradually disappeared, and colorful feathers grew out. Its small body became slender, and its wings slowly unfolded. In the blink of an eye, it turned into a small and exquisite bird, flapping its wings and hopping lightly on the table, looking very lively.

Seeing this, the surrounding students all showed envious expressions, and some couldn't help but whisper their admiration.

Puni looked at his work and nodded.

After school, Puni went to the Requirement Room.

He had already set up a small room here specifically for practicing spells, and even had the Room of Requirement conjure up a basilisk puppet to practice spells against the basilisk.

He walked up to the puppet that resembled the real basilisk, raised his wand, and unleashed beams of magic upon it, causing it to sway slightly but without causing any damage.

This is just an ordinary puppet, without any magical enhancements, and it cannot fight back; it can only be used as a target for practicing spells.

Chapter 97 Does the Basilisk really exist?

Puni knew that although the Room of Requirement was magical and could conjure up most things people wanted, it also had limitations. It could never conjure up a powerful magical creature like the Basilisk; it could only conjure up ordinary puppets like these, which were better than nothing.

As Puni looked at the puppet in front of him, a thought suddenly popped into his mind: if the Room of Requirement could conjure up puppets for practice, could it grant his wish for a path to the Chamber of Secrets in Slytherin?

After all, to get rid of the basilisk, he must first find the entrance to the secret chamber, and he does not yet know the exact location of the secret chamber. If the Room of Requirement could conjure a passage, it would save him a lot of trouble.

Puni is always a man of action. Without hesitation, he turned and walked toward the door of the Room of Requirement, preparing to leave and come back in to make a wish to the Room of Requirement to conjure up a passage to the secret chamber.

But just as he reached the door, before he could even reach out to open it, the door was suddenly pushed open from the outside, almost hitting him. He quickly stepped back.

Just then, two figures rushed in; they were the Weasley twins, George and Fred.

As soon as they entered, they saw Puni taking a step back. Looking at the open door, they immediately understood what had happened. Apparently, they had pushed the door open too quickly and almost bumped into Puni, who was about to leave.

The twins quickly slammed the door shut, afraid of being discovered by the people outside. But the moment they closed the door, seeing Puni's startled expression, they couldn't help but burst into laughter.

Puni looked at the twins who were laughing so hard they were doubled over: "You guys still have the nerve to laugh? You almost knocked me flying!"

George and Fred tried hard to suppress their laughter, wanting to explain something to Puni.

But as soon as they looked up and saw Puni's slightly furrowed brows, they swallowed back the words they were about to say, and burst into laughter again, laughing so hard they couldn't stand up straight and even had to lean against the wall to keep their balance.

Seeing their expressions, Puni couldn't help but roll his eyes and said irritably, "Alright, alright, if you want to laugh, then laugh your fill. After you've laughed enough, see how I deal with you!"

The twins laughed for a while before gradually calming down. They walked up to Puni and looked at him apologetically.

George spoke first, apologizing softly: "Sorry, sorry, Puni, we didn't mean to, it was just an emergency, that's why we pushed the door open so quickly."

Fred quickly nodded in agreement, adding, "Yes, Filch was right behind us. He's been patrolling and almost spotted us. We had to rush in to make sure he couldn't see the room, which is why we didn't notice you at the door."

"What? You better not actually bring Filch here, or I'll really make you regret it!"

"No, no, don't worry!"

"That's right, that's right, don't you trust the two of us?"

George and Fred had just closed the door to the Room of Requirement when their eyes were drawn to a huge object in the corner of the room, before they could even calm down from their laughter.

The two exchanged a glance, and their feet moved involuntarily closer, circling the snake-shaped puppet and examining it repeatedly.

Fred stopped what he was doing first and turned to look at Penny, who was leaning against the wall not far away: "Penny, tell us, what exactly were you thinking when you summoned the Room of Requirement? We clearly told ourselves we wanted to enter the room you were in, but when we came in, this is what we saw. What is this? A snake puppet? It's so realistic. Did you specially set up a Slytherin-style practice room just to practice snake-related magic?"

George nodded in agreement, poked the puppet's head, and frowned slightly: "Yeah, this puppet looks just like a real one. What did you get it for? We can use a regular target to practice spells. There's no need to get such a scary snake puppet."

"Don't make wild guesses. This has absolutely nothing to do with Slytherin. Well, maybe it has something to do with it, but anyway, I made this puppet to figure out how to deal with the Basilisk and to familiarize myself with its habits and weaknesses in advance."

At this point, he looked up at the twins and emphasized his words: "You've probably heard of the Basilisk, right? It's the kind of magical creature with deadly venom that can kill you instantly if you make eye contact with it. Even adult wizards would have a hard time surviving if they accidentally met its eyes."

Upon hearing this, the twins' curiosity vanished instantly, and they nodded in unison.

George scratched his head. "Of course we know about the Basilisk. It's often mentioned in the old legends of Hogwarts, but it hasn't appeared for hundreds of years. I heard it's long since gone into seclusion, or maybe it doesn't even exist? Why are you suddenly looking for a way to deal with it? Is it about to come out?"

Fred frowned as well: "Yes, Puni."

In their view, the basilisk was merely a legendary creature and could never possibly exist.

Upon hearing their conversation, Puni couldn't help but sigh softly, closed the ancient book in his hand, and walked over to them.

"I told you all about the legend of the Chamber of Secrets in Slytherin before, and you listened more attentively than anyone else. Didn't you ever think about investigating what kind of monster was hiding in that chamber?"

These words struck the twins like a thunderbolt.

The expressions on their faces froze instantly.

George opened his mouth, incredulous: "Puni, what do you mean? Are you saying... the monster hidden in the Chamber of Secrets left by Slytherin isn't some fictional legend, but..."

Fred also snapped out of his daze, his pupils dilating slightly and his breathing becoming rapid. He continued, following George's words, "The Basilisk?! That legendary, deadly Basilisk, is really being kept by Slytherin in the Chamber of Secrets?"

The two looked at each other and saw shock in each other's eyes.

Seeing the two people's shocked expressions, Puni slowly nodded: "That's right, it's a basilisk. I have received definite information that there is absolutely no mistake. What is hidden in the secret room is a basilisk that has lived for thousands of years."

Once the twins had calmed down from their shock, Puni continued, "By the way, haven't you two been busy searching for clues about the secret room these past few months? Have you found anything useful, even just the smallest clue?"

Upon hearing this question, the shock on the twins' faces was instantly replaced by embarrassment. They both shook their heads, and George said helplessly, "Don't even mention it. We've been searching for months, turning up almost every corner of Hogwarts, but we haven't found a single clue. It seems that even though we are pure-blood wizards, we haven't been able to gain Slytherin's approval, and we haven't even caught a glimpse of the Chamber of Secrets."

Fred sighed and added, "It wasn't a complete loss. We did find two secret rooms with some useless old things inside, but that's all we found. There wasn't even a trace of anything related to the secret rooms."

Puni listened to their words without any surprise on his face, but he already knew what was going on.

Just as he had thought, the twins couldn't speak Parseltongue, and the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets in Slytherin must be opened with Parseltongue. They were already lucky to have found two secret rooms; finding clues to the Chamber of Secrets was simply impossible.

It seems that finding the secret chamber and dealing with the basilisk will ultimately depend on him alone—the twins won't be of much help at all.

"With my daily invincibility buff, as long as the Holy Light is effective, a mere snake monster is a piece of cake, isn't it?"

As Penny pondered to himself, George and Fred gradually calmed down from their shock. They whispered a few words to each other and then prepared to leave the Room of Requirement, wanting to go back and process this astonishing news.

Seeing this, Puni called out to them, "By the way."

The twins stopped and turned around to look at him with a puzzled expression.

"Remember to keep the matter of the basilisk a secret. Don't tell anyone, understand?"

Hearing this, George shook his head: "That won't do! Penny, what are you thinking? That's a basilisk! Once it comes out of the Chamber of Secrets, everyone at Hogwarts will be in danger!"

George and Fred exchanged a glance, and Fred added, "Yes, Penny, you want to deal with the basilisk yourself? Absolutely not! That's too dangerous! The basilisk is said to be incredibly powerful! I don't think even the three of us combined could stand a chance against it! This is not something we can handle. We must tell Professor Dumbledore. Only the professor has the ability to deal with it and protect everyone in the school."

Upon hearing this, Puni calmly raised an eyebrow and asked them in return, "Think about it carefully. Do the two of you have any credibility whatsoever in front of Professor Dumbledore?"

Fred wanted to retort, to say that they were telling the truth, but the words caught in his throat, leaving him feeling somewhat embarrassed and helpless.

They loved playing pranks and often made up strange lies to trick their classmates and teachers. In the eyes of the Hogwarts professors, they were just two troublemakers who couldn't keep their mouths shut.

Now that they say there's a basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets, probably no professor will believe them. Instead, they'll think they're playing another prank, and they might even be punished for it!

George frowned, thought about it carefully for a moment, and had to admit that Puni was right.

Their credibility with the professors was practically zero. Even if they actually went to tell Professor Dumbledore, the professor would just think they were joking and wouldn't take it seriously at all. On the contrary, they might severely criticize them for making up such a terrible rumor.

Chapter 98 Professor McGonagall's Private Tutoring!

Night slowly enveloped Hogwarts Castle, twilight seeped completely through the windows, and the dinner bells rang precisely on time.

The auditorium was already brightly lit, with four huge chandeliers hanging from the dome, casting a warm yellow light that made the four long college dining tables exceptionally bright.

Students from various colleges sat in orderly rows, their silver platters filled with steaming hot food. The aroma of roast beef, the sweetness of pumpkin juice, and the students' laughter mingled together, creating a lively atmosphere that seemed to lift the roof off the auditorium.

Just as the commotion reached its peak, Professor Dumbledore on the platform slowly raised his hand and gently tapped the crystal glass in his hand on the table.

"when"

A crisp sound pierced through all the noise, like a gentle breeze, instantly quieting the bustling auditorium.

The students stopped eating, put down their knives and forks, and their smiles faded. They all turned their gazes toward the platform and onto the white-haired, gentle-faced old man.

Professor Dumbledore slowly stood up, his tall figure appearing even more dignified in the flickering candlelight. The glasses on his nose reflected a soft light, and his eyes held a gentle smile.

He didn't rush to speak, but instead slowly scanned every corner of the auditorium with his gaze, passing over the young faces full of curiosity and expectation, until the entire auditorium was completely silent. Only then did he slowly speak, his calm and gentle voice echoing throughout the auditorium: "Children, please be quiet. I have gathered you all here today to formally inform you of an important message concerning the entire school."

The students below the stage immediately perked up. Some huddled together and whispered their guesses, while others straightened their backs and stared intently at Dumbledore, eagerly awaiting the contents of the message.

Dumbledore nodded slightly and continued, "This news concerns the Quidditch match. Quidditch is a long-standing tradition at Hogwarts and the most fervent expectation in the hearts of many wizarding students. It carries everyone's passion and the honor of each house. After joint preparations by the Ministry of Magic and the school, I can solemnly inform you today that this year's Quidditch match will officially begin next weekend."

As soon as he finished speaking, the once quiet auditorium was instantly shattered by a deafening cheer.

The students stood up one after another, waving their napkins, some cheering, some banging on the table, and some hugging each other.

and many more......

Puni saw the two Gryffindors almost biting each other...

What are you doing?!

Puni quickly looked away.

For Hogwarts students, Quidditch is more than just a simple sport.

It is a contest of speed and courage, a symbol of teamwork and honor.

Now that the competition is finally confirmed, all the pent-up anticipation and excitement exploded instantly.

Professor Dumbledore stood quietly on the high platform, a satisfied smile on his face.

Quidditch matches not only enrich students' campus life, but also unite the strength of different colleges, allowing children to learn perseverance and cooperation in the competition.

This is a great exercise.

Only after the cheers subsided and the students returned to their seats did Dumbledore speak again, his voice still gentle: "I know that all of you have never slacked off during this time, training diligently and sweating profusely. I believe you are all fully prepared, and I hope you will give your all on the field, living up to your training and the expectations of the House, fighting for honor. At the same time, I hope that every student will cheer for their team with fairness and enthusiasm, and enjoy this Quidditch feast that belongs to all of us!"

As soon as Dumbledore finished speaking, thunderous applause erupted in the Great Hall, lasting for a long time before gradually subsiding.

The students were once again engrossed in a lively discussion.

Some people are speculating which team will emerge victorious this year, while others have made plans with their classmates to go to the stadium next weekend to cheer for their favorite team.

After the cheers and discussions gradually subsided, the Quidditch draw began.

The four Quidditch captains from the four houses rose one by one from their respective tables and walked solemnly toward the platform.
