"The long night is coming, and the barrier on Earth is close to being broken. The end is near."

Klein the Fool spoke slowly, his expression indifferent:

"I will split the earth and send it to the depths of the starry sky. I will teach you some knowledge that is beyond this era. This is your mission in the new era:"

"The first mission is to do your best to maintain the stability of the faith of the Goddess of Night, The Fool, and the True Creator. When necessary, you can take some extraordinary measures to eliminate heretics and cultists."

"Your second mission is to pass on the knowledge I taught you through the power of the church and the government at the appropriate time. In the next few years, no matter which continent it is, it will enter a long night."

"Long Night"? Hearing this word, Derrick Berg suddenly felt a little flustered. He was about to speak when he heard Mr. Fool say in a relaxed tone:

"Yes, the long night. The world will be plunged into darkness once again until we return."

As if he could see through Derrick's thoughts, he turned his head and looked at the little "Sun", who was much more mature now but still looked a little flustered.

"Of course, you won't experience pollution and darkness again. It's just that it's getting dark. You just need to remember that the higher the sequence of the Beyonder, the more likely it is that you will hear the sound of stars in this industry. No matter what, don't reply or answer."

"Although I have left a barrier on this land that is sufficient to protect you, a slight negligence could lead to the complete destruction of your efforts."

The Fool's voice seemed soft and a little tired. He once again looked deeply at the people at the Tarot Club, especially Miss Justice, for a while, then pressed his hands down, and the gray mist around him dissipated at a very fast speed.

"…I am officially leaving to bring the sun back for you."

The gray mist dissipated, and Klein sat on his throne for a long time without saying a word. Beside him, Amanesis and Huang Tao stood there, each holding a geometric object of a different shape and color in their hands.

This is the key to the "Star Ship". Except for the Star Ship on the East Continent that is driven by the uniqueness of the "Abyss", the other two Star Ships require the power of the gods to power them.

The gray fog completely dissipated, and Gao Wei's figure was revealed in front of the three people. He stood up, his face as calm as water:

"Ready?"

Klein nodded, and layers of doors appeared in his eyes.

"The three pilots have been selected. The pilot for the Intis Empire is Mr. Bert Abraham, the 'Gate', and the pilot for the Loen Republic is Antigonus."

The figures of Antigonus and Bethel emerged from behind Gao Wei. Antigonus took a long look at Amanesis and said in a low voice:

"elder sister."

Amanesis nodded slightly, and an angel in a black robe and with clear eyes walked out from the "secret". Amanesis slowly pushed the "key" in his hand forward and into the angel's body.

The angel in black robes was Antigonus's other sister, the "Sky Mother". Amanesis returned the Sky Mother to Antigonus, but also used the key in his hand to insure Antigonus and the Sky Mother.

With the help of this key, Amanesis can keep track of the situation of the Mother of Heaven at any time and prevent the demon wolf from rebelling.

However, Antigonus did not have much objection to this. Amanesis had used Lilith to kill their father, Phlegra, so such behavior was within the acceptable range of Antigonus.

Meanwhile, Russell Gustav handed the black triangle, which resembled an inverted pyramid, to Bethel. He and Mr. Door exchanged a deep glance, then spoke with a stuttering voice:

"You've done me a great disservice, Mr. Door."

"...The one you were talking to at the time was actually the Fallen Mother Goddess."

Bethel spoke to Huang Tao, but Huang Tao just laughed: "I just wanted to say this. Oh, forget it, the Fallen Mother Goddess is also our god now, it doesn't matter."

Bethel put the key away, turned around speechlessly, and walked outside with Antigonus.

Klein stared at the backs of the three people and slowly closed his eyes.

His body continued to rise and rise - until it reached the sky.

He stretched out his hand and pressed it on the ground. Three star gates suddenly appeared above the three star ships and spread outward at an extremely fast speed.

The sights of the Outer Gods penetrated the barrier and looked towards where Klein was. But the next moment, the blood sea of the Fallen Mother Goddess in the air began to boil without any warning, and one after another dark tentacles wrapped up the star ship of the southern continent and flew towards the sky.

"No foreign gods are allowed to pollute this place!"

Gao Wei declared proudly, and the pollution that the Outer Gods had infiltrated into the starship was immediately cut off. Klein, who was standing beside him, stared at the starship disappearing into the dark universe, and remained silent for a long time.

After a while, he finally spoke:

"Goodbye, hometown."

(Volume 5 Stars, End)

The structure has been slightly changed, and the story of God has been moved to the next volume. I personally feel that this structure is better.

Write the final remarks at night.

End of Volume 5 Summary

Overall, I am quite satisfied with the writing of this volume.

My original plan was that Klein would investigate Amon - Klein and Amon would fight to determine the winner - Klein and his real enemy, Tianzun, would scheme against each other without being able to see each other - Klein would go to help Audrey interpret her dream - and finally, Klein and Tianzun would engage in a battle of wills in the dream.

Then the "Abyss", "Starry Sky" and "Audrey's Dream Interpretation" parts as branch quests are interspersed in it.

Now it seems that these are basically completed, but what makes me a little regretful is that the "Starry Sky" part, which was originally planned to be a large chapter, eventually became a side quest, because I couldn't grasp the fate of the Starry Sky at the time, and Klein's strength at the time was also rather embarrassing.

If he is strengthened, then Amon will not be able to fight; if Klein is suppressed, then there is no point in going to the starry sky, and both the readers and I will be unhappy (this is also a problem in one of my later chapters, fortunately a reader scolded me a lot and made me realize this problem).

As for the plot that I am satisfied with, there are several, such as Chapter 26 "Bugs", Chapter 50 "God of Deception", and Chapter 94 "The Long Night is Near".

The chapter "Bugs" made me truly feel the strong absurdity of the mysterious world. After writing 50 chapters, I felt like I saw Amon who was gradually learning to be a human being under the guidance of a higher dimension.

As for "The Long Night," yesterday's update, I also really enjoyed the scene where Klein and Audrey expressed their feelings. After all, strictly speaking, the foreshadowing began when Audrey met "Sherlock Moriarty" (although Klein's relationship with her hadn't been confirmed at the time).

Originally, after Klein chose to face the mysterious fate, there should have been a battle with God for twenty to thirty chapters, and then some endings before entering the Western Continent.

If this part is included, then this volume would be around one hundred and thirty to one hundred and forty chapters, as I estimate.

But since Klein and Audrey have confessed their feelings to each other, this paragraph is no longer necessary. Otherwise, I would feel that the love between Xiao Ke and Diamond has become an embellishment before the war, which is difficult for me to accept personally. Therefore, in the future, the War of Gods will become the part that leads to the next volume, and become the introduction to the final war of the gods and Lao Gao's final blasphemy.

By the way, many readers mentioned the problem of "Lao Gao not appearing"... Ahem, it is indeed my problem, but I climbed the path for Him too fast before, and there was no way for Him to appear at all (@o@)...

Therefore, in the last volume, Gao Wei, Klein, Amanesis, and the True Creator, the four time travelers and the survivors, finally stood on the same line of strength and could finally appear at the same time - and I also have certain settings about the Western Continent, but because Squid basically didn't write about it at all, it can only be regarded as a pure secondary setting.

(As long as I don't look at the Ring of Fate, I won't be backstabbed)

Since the final volume won't have a lot of plot, it won't be too long. Including the God War, it'll probably be around 80 to 90 chapters at most. Since I'm nearing the end of this volume, and I'm planning to start an original book right after this one, I'll try to keep some drafts in reserve, striving to maintain a steady update schedule for the latter half of volume six.

Judging from my updating speed...it will probably take about two to three months, and it will be almost finished by mid-June, after all, there are still a few IF line extras to write.

For example, the line of Audrey's death, the line of Amon's becoming a god, the line of the high-dimensional destruction of the world, the line of the madman Klein... and so on. Some relatively new and unwritten ideas may also come out and be used to connect with the next book.

Then comes the usual preview of the next volume:

Volume 6 Eden

"I long for the tree of life in Eden that fades not away."

"But outside of Eden is the free 'world'."

Chapter 515 Chaos

"Ha, it's done, Taoist Master, I've done it!"

An old man wearing a Taoist robe with countless black stripes painted on it was dancing with his hands and feet waving. As he moved, some starlight slowly emerged around him.

After seeing this scene, his disciples were immediately astonished - the oldest among them was already in their 30s, and since they entered this Taoist temple as children they were almost years old, and they had never seen their master perform magic like the ones in the myths they had heard.

But now, their master seemed to have attained enlightenment and suddenly possessed godly methods.

"Master Dao, I know that our Heavenly Dao is not dead, nor crazy! One day in Heaven is one year on Earth. He just left for a while!"

The old Taoist first roared with joy, then suddenly lowered his head, covered his old face with his hands, and cried. Beside him, the ground cracked, and the starlight quietly enveloped him, making it seem as if there was a tide around him.

"Fifty years passed in the blink of an eye..."

Beside him, his disciples looked at each other, not knowing what to do now.

But soon, they saw the old Taoist priest in front of them stand up again, with no tears in his eyes, but he waved his hand boldly:

"Chen Jiu, you will be the master of this Taoist temple from now on. The immortal master's books are all in there. They have been abandoned for more than 30 years. It's time for you to get the right path now."

The middle-aged man Chen Jiu who was pointed out by the old Taoist priest was somewhat delighted, but he also asked his master with some fear:

"Master, where are you going?"

The old Taoist priest picked up the peach wood sword that had been lying there for half a century and walked straight out the door.

"The master is going down the mountain."

"To replace the thirty-eight fellow disciples who died... to slay demons and exorcise monsters."

-

The light is flowing, filling the sight of everyone - whether ordinary people or extraordinary people. At this time, the light seems so bright that the surrounding colors become extremely rich.

The moment the starship entered the star gate created by Klein, even with the protection of the barrier, the boundary between the material world and the spiritual world became unclear, and the difference between matter and spirit suddenly became blurred.

Many creatures in the spiritual world looked at the material world that suddenly appeared around them, and were knocked against the wall or the ground before they could react.

Of course, there were also spiritual creatures that reacted, and some of the more evil ones had already extended their claws to the ordinary people around them, but soon the quiet requiem of the northern continent sounded, and these evil spiritual creatures died and wailed in an instant, disappearing under the requiem of the night.

Leonard walked on the street, singing an unknown ballad like the "Midnight Howler" in the Demon Wolf Family. With him as the center, the spirits around him continued to fall into sleep. He raised his head and looked at the sky shrouded in darkness, and couldn't help but speak:

"The long night is near..."

"Old man, are you saying we are heading towards the sky?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Leonard felt his consciousness blurry. A somewhat annoyed voice sounded in his ears: "Why do you have to be so sensitive at this time?"

The one who spoke was the "Angel of Time" Pales Zoroast. Just now, Leonard thought of the starry sky, and Pales immediately stole away this part of Leonard's memory and thoughts.

Fortunately, I reacted quickly... Pales thought with some fear.

Leonard smiled awkwardly, and had no choice but to continue to follow the goddess' oracle and clear out the evil creatures in each area.

……

Earl Hall, wearing an official government uniform, said to the several extraordinary people of the church in front of him with a resolute look:

"Please rest assured, we will follow the guidance of the church at this critical moment. Together, we will help the residents of Backlund and even the entire Loen Republic survive this unprecedented disaster."

"We, the Hall family, are willing to set an example for other families and take the lead in donating our assets to protect the lives and safety of Backlund's civilians."
