Chapter 25: Bibi Every Flavour Beans
Wade didn't ask any more questions. He first looked down at the product list.
As a small village, Hogsmeade cannot be compared with Diagon Alley, the commercial center of the British wizarding world. There are not many shops. But although it is small, it has everything. You can find almost all kinds of shops, such as clothing stores, quill pen stores, magic equipment stores, post offices, bars, teahouses, etc. Of course, the most popular store among students is definitely the candy store. The product list has a long list of various candies, which is the sum of all other categories.
Wade looked at the things that others wanted to buy and couldn't help asking, "Can he get so many things?"
"In the Hufflepuff common room, Cedric specifically said -" Theo laughed, "He said - don't worry about whether I can lift my arms, there is also the levitation spell! The other third-year students said they can also help, and they won't let Cedric work like a slave alone."
Michael lay on the table and lamented weakly, "Alas - why don't we Ravenclaws have such enthusiastic seniors? They will only look at you with squinted eyes and say something like - don't worry, you will be able to go in two years. And also say - this is for your safety! No one offered to bring us a handful of candy! Oh, another day when I want to go to Hufflepuff!"
Theo and Ryan looked at each other and smiled proudly.
Hermione and Neville both thought of Gryffindor's prefect Percy Weasley - "I'm the prefect, you have to listen to me!" "Do you want to cause the school to lose points?" "Undergraduate students, don't think about getting away with it. Filch will check one by one and won't let anyone who shouldn't be there slip away! Of course, I will also help keep an eye on you troublemakers."
Or the two Weasleys in the third year - "Of course, dung bombs or burping powder? - What an idea! You'll give Filch a surprise! Fifteen silver Sickles! - I swear, it's only five Knuts more expensive than Hogsmeade!"
However, before they got the money, Percy discovered their purchasing behavior. The most important thing was that most of the products purchased by the twins were prank products that would make Filch scream, so the two brothers were chased around the lounge by their brother.
Although Hermione and Neville were very different in their academic performance, they were both "marginal people" in Gryffindor to some extent. They swallowed their complaints about the Weasleys, but they envied the atmosphere of Hufflepuff in their hearts.
But Wade smiled and said, "Michael, don't say you envy Hufflepuff for having a senior who is willing to take care of the younger students - when we are in the third year, are you willing to help the little wizards of Ravenclaw buy all kinds of candies?"
"Are you kidding me?" Michael said without hesitation, "What a hassle! I don't want to spend my weekend just completing my to-do list!"
"So - we are our own Ravenclaw." Wade said in a flat voice, choosing some items that others didn't choose so that they could exchange them with each other after buying them.
I just don't know if Cedric will be shocked by the long list of Theo and the others.
……
"Actually, I think you're the same person as Cedric, Wade."
After the day's study, Theo stayed behind and said this to Wade.
"Huh?" Wade was still immersed in the petrification spell at this time and completely forgot what everyone had said before.
Theo looked him in the eyes and said seriously, "Although I've never said it, the reason why our SSC group came together is entirely because of you, Wade. You always selflessly guide us in practicing spells, and are willing to share with us the notes you have compiled with great difficulty. I have never seen another Ravenclaw do this."
Wade was a little surprised. He looked at Theo, not knowing what to say.
"Michael and Hermione are so smart, they play with all of us just for you. Me, Ryan, and Neville, our grades weren't outstanding originally, and we were even at the bottom of some subjects, but because of your help, we have recently begun to earn some points for the college. Professor Flitwick praised us several times, and Neville dared to raise his hand to speak in the last Herbology class, and Professor Sprout even gave him an extra point."
Theo concluded: "Vedder, you are a Ravenclaw, but you are by no means a selfish or indifferent person. You have helped us a lot - that's what I want to tell you."
For a long time after Theo left, Wade felt that his heart was filled with an inexplicable emotion.
He packed up his things and walked out of the umbrella house, and saw Claudia in the portrait walking in the grass. There was a trace of sadness between the girl's brows, and her expression was very similar to the Lin Daiyu in his impression.
Watching the door of the umbrella house close, Wade said to himself, "How could it be that all of them gathered here because of me? Could it be that Theo forgot that he and Professor Sprout had applied for this classroom?"
Miss Claudia was as silent as ever. She never talked to students, nor did she go out to visit other people like other portraits occasionally. She always stayed on this empty lawn. If she didn't walk around occasionally, this portrait would be no different from a Muggle portrait.
……
Cedric really kept his word. He helped buy everything that Wade and the others wrote on the list, and he didn't charge them a single extra nutter.
"Oh my god, I'm flying!" Hermione exclaimed. The brown-haired girl just drank a glass of drink and slowly floated up from the ground. Wade quickly reached out to hold her, so that she would not fly too high and fall down and get hurt.
After a long while, the magic of the drink disappeared, and Hermione slowly fell to the ground. She said a little angrily: "They should write the precautions on the packaging!"
"This is so funny, Hermione!" said Michael.
Hermione blushed and glared at him, "But I'm wearing a skirt!"
Michael was speechless, lowered his head and said, "I'm sorry - you're right."
"Everyone, look at me!" Theo yelled, "I'm going to eat this little black pepper kid!"
Everyone looked at him expectantly.
Theo put the candy into his mouth, chewed it for a few times, his expression suddenly changed, and the next second he was spewing fire from his nose!
Everyone laughed.
Michael grabbed a handful of Bibi's every-flavor beans and distributed them to everyone. He said excitedly, "Come on, try these every-flavor beans! Let's bet on who is the unluckiest!"
He took the lead and put one into his mouth. "It's okay. It tastes like carrot."
Ryan ate one and said with a bitter face, "Bad luck - it smells like earwax."
Wade was curious: "How do you know what earwax smells like?"
Ryan was stunned, looking up and down, then turned to Theo as if nothing had happened: "Hurry up, it's your turn."
Theo ate it with a grin: "Mmm - tastes like honeydew melon! How lucky!"
Hermione also ate one: "It tastes like beef, not bad."
Neville looked at the yellow every-flavored beans in his hand with fear, muttering, "Will I always be the unlucky one?" He closed his eyes and swallowed them, then stuck his tongue out and shouted incoherently, "Water, water, water!"
"Do you taste the taste of sand?" Michael handed him the water and asked curiously.
Neville, who had a large glass of water, said tearfully, "It tastes like super hot chili peppers."
Everyone looked at Wade.
Wade looked at the every-flavor beans with disdain. He had never eaten this specialty of the wizarding world because he heard that Beebe's every-flavor beans even tasted like vomit - what kind of mischievous thinking did the manufacturer have?
But everyone was waiting for him, and after some mental preparation, Wade finally threw the beans into his mouth.
"What does it smell like?" the friends asked curiously.
Wade breathed a sigh of relief and smiled, "It smells like snow."
Chapter 26: Levitation Spell
Regardless of the reason, the increase in time spent together will cause subtle changes in people's relationships. Some will become closer and closer - such as Wade and his SSC companions; some will become more and more hostile - such as Potter and Malfoy, whose quarrels have become a scene in Hogwarts.
In the evening, Wade and Michael returned to the Ravenclaw common room again before curfew. As soon as he entered the door, Michael was called away by two girls - tomorrow was Halloween, and the students were very excited. A small party was being held in the common room, and Michael was one of the few first-year students invited. During the weekend at Hogsmeade, senior students bought a lot of butter beer, rum and whiskey, and at this moment, the common room was filled with a drunken smell.
Michael wanted to drag Wade along, but Wade shook his head and refused - Wade had always been indifferent to such gatherings. Last time, he saw two people who didn't know each other well kissing passionately on the sofa after getting drunk, with a bunch of people around them clapping and cheering, and splashing beer everywhere, exuding an atmosphere of drunkenness, indulgence and pleasure.
Although Wade has lived in the West for eleven years, his thoughts are still introverted and reserved. He is much more cautious than his classmates when it comes to feelings and physical contact.
I walked back to the dormitory along the spiral staircase. The dormitory was as clean and tidy as usual. The clothes I took off yesterday were all washed, ironed, and neatly stacked in the closet.
There was a pot of boiled water on the desk, steaming. Wade poured himself a cup, and the temperature was just right.
The long tables at Hogwarts usually only had a variety of fruit juices, vegetable juices or hot chocolate, and students usually drank raw water directly. Wade was not used to this, and some time ago he tried to leave a note on his dirty clothes, saying that he hoped to have hot water when he returned to the dormitory.
The next morning, when he got up, he found a pot of steaming black tea on his desk - the house-elves probably didn't quite understand what "hot water" meant, or perhaps no one had ever asked them for such a thing.
So Wade added: "Thank you for the black tea. But I want the hot water that comes from boiling water directly, without tea leaves."
From that day on, no matter what time he returned to the dormitory, there was always a pot of hot water at just the right temperature waiting for him, and the same was true when he woke up in the morning.
It has to be said that at least half of the comfort of life at Hogwarts is brought by the house-elves.
Before going to bed, Wade placed three mini pumpkin carriages on the table - they were made by him using Transfiguration. In front of the carriages hung a small lantern the size of a bean, emitting a green glow.

……
When I woke up in the morning, it was already Halloween and the whole castle was filled with the aroma of roasted pumpkin.
The pumpkin carriage on the desk has disappeared, replaced by a new kettle of hot water, a plate of pumpkin cookies, a handful of flowers and a pile of beautiful pebbles.
The heart-shaped cookies smelled delicious, the flowers were covered with dew, and the thumb-sized stones looked like gems. These were the return gifts carefully prepared by the house-elves.
Vader couldn't help but laugh.
He did not think the gift from the elves was too cheap - the house-elves all belonged to Hogwarts, and they had nothing except the tea towels on their bodies, and even the tea towels actually belonged to Hogwarts.
There was no holiday on Halloween, and the Charms class started early in the morning. Professor Flitwick divided the students into groups of two to practice the levitation spell, and Wade and Anthony Goldstein were in one group.
"Don't forget that subtle wrist movement we've been practicing!" Professor Flitwick shrieked. "A flick of the wrist! Remember, a flick of the wrist! It's also very important to pronounce the spell correctly - don't forget Barufio, who said an 's' instead of an 'f' and found himself lying on the floor with a bison on his chest! Now, let's practice!"
The students began to chant in unison: "Wingardium Leviosa!"
The feathers in front of Wade immediately floated up. He had already used this spell many times in the umbrella house, mainly to move tables and chairs. Hermione and Michael also succeeded one after another. Professor Flitwick clapped his hands happily and said, "Well done. I'll give you two points - everyone!"
Then a scene that surprised everyone even more appeared - the feather in front of Neville trembled and floated up, like a boat swaying in the waves, suspended two feet above him.
The Gryffindors were so surprised that their eyes almost popped out of their heads, because Neville was always clumsy in any class, and no one except Professor Sprout would praise him. Moreover, the levitation charm was very difficult for young wizards, and the feathers in front of most people were still motionless. So seeing Neville use the levitation charm (although it was not very successful), it was as shocking as seeing a troll dancing ballet.
"Great! Great, Mr. Longbottom!" Professor Flitwick screamed and jumped in surprise. "Five points for Gryffindor!"
"No way? That Longbottom succeeded?"
Wade heard Anthony beside him say in surprise, and then he cast the spell over and over again, but the feather remained motionless.
Anthony was a tall and strong boy. He had no problem reciting the spell, but the delicate and subtle movements of "waving and shaking" were too difficult for him. He practiced over and over again, and his movements became more and more deformed.
"Wait!" Seeing that he was about to poke the wand into the back of the head of the student in the front row, Wade grabbed his wrist and said, "Try this--"
He drew a steep curve like a sine wave on the paper, marked the direction with an arrow, and marked where it should be faster. He enlarged it and floated it in front of him. He said to Anthony: "Wave the magic wand along this line. Don't go beyond the range."
Anthony did not question it. As fellow Ravenclaws, they all knew that Wade's spell skills were the best in the grade. The blond boy first silently demonstrated it himself, then waved his wand -
"Wingardium-Leviosa!"
The feather immediately floated up, and under Anthony's command, it flew higher and higher, even touching the chandelier above his head. Anthony looked at it with surprise, and was almost reluctant to put down his wand.
Terry Boot and Lavender Brown, who were sitting on their left and right, looked at each other and stretched out their hands almost at the same time. In the end, Lavender grabbed the parchment with greater agility and pulled it in front of her group.
"Wingardium-Leviosa!"
On the right side of the classroom, more and more feathers were floating up, which naturally attracted the attention of Professor Flitwick. As soon as Lisa Dupin grabbed the parchment, she saw a small hand pulling the parchment away from below. Professor Flitwick took a look and said with a smile: "Oh, a very clever way of guiding--"
Chapter 27 Alchemy and Weasley
Professor Flitwick took a look and said, "Oh, that's a very clever way of guiding you - although it's a shortcut, it will really help you master the spell faster. This must be your idea, Vader."
Vader bent his eyes and smiled brightly.
