Why is China poor? Why is China bullied by the great powers?

What changes did China need to make in order to become stronger? Even the Sun family and other rural folks, inspired by Wei Hongjun's orders, began studying the history of global industrial development. Many terms they had never heard of appeared in the classroom, helping them understand what an industrial nation was and clearly grasp the power of industry.

All these made Sun Jiahe convinced that the future of China would definitely be ruled by the Eighth Route Army.

Even so, after arriving in Fuxin, Sun Jiahe was deeply moved by the steadfast faith of the Party members and astounded by the strength of the Party organizations established at the mines. This feeling was particularly pronounced after the Gaode mining area was taken over.

Under such circumstances, these captured party members were still able to continue fighting.

There are really quite a few party members in Gaode Mining Area.

To detain "special workers," the Japanese and puppet troops combined the Gaode and Taiping mining areas, which housed the largest number of "special workers," approximately 4,000. This was Fuxin's largest coal mining base.

The mining area gave them different brigade names, such as the Sixth Brigade, the Seventh Brigade, and the Eighth Brigade.

No running around between teams is allowed.

As a result, the captured party members established party branches in each brigade.

Except for the October Special Branch, other brigades have their own party branches.

The Taiping Mining District, adjacent to the Gaode Mining District, was home to the Taiping Sixth "Special Worker" Brigade. This group of "special workers," numbering over 800, was largely captured during the Ji'nan Military Region's anti-mopping-up campaign, much like the members of the Third Anti-Japanese Regiment.

Historically, the Ji'nan Military Region suffered heavy casualties during this counter-mopping-up operation, ultimately losing it entirely. It wasn't until the end of 43 that it began to slowly recover. However, due to the strength of the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Military Region, the Japanese raid on the Ji'nan Military Region was ultimately a whimper. The Ji'nan Military Region quickly recovered, and its current strength has even surpassed its historical peak.

Inspired by the Jin-Cha-Ji Military Region's capture of Baoding, the Southern Military Region established bases around Handan, preparing to lay siege to and ultimately capture the city. However, during the Southern Hebei Military Region's sweep, many of its officers and soldiers were captured.

Xu Xuejun, a staff officer at the Ji'nan Military Region headquarters, organized the Party branch of the Sixth Brigade of "Special Workers" in Taiping. Propaganda Committee member Li Ya, Organization Committee member Li Hongnian, and Security Committee member Lu Ji were all military and local cadres of the Ji'nan Military Region.

There is also the Taiping "Special Workers" Eighth Brigade, which has the largest number of people, about 1,300.

They were captured officers and soldiers of the Hebei-Central Military Region.

Li Bin, the company instructor of the Jizhong 7th Division, joined other Party members to form the Party branch of the 8th Brigade of "Special Workers" in Taiping. Due to the Yizhong Military Region's unique location, the Japanese and puppet troops frequently engaged in battles with the Jizhong Military Region's troops. Consequently, the Jizhong Military Region also suffered the highest number of captured officers and soldiers.

There is also the Seventh Battalion.

This mainly consists of captured officers and soldiers from Jidong.

He was a captured officer during the "security strengthening campaign" carried out by the Japanese and puppet troops in eastern Hebei in the summer of 1941. Wang Yiming, the company commander of the 13th Regiment, was responsible for establishing the Party branch and served as its secretary.

It can be said that wherever there are party members, there is its own party branch.

After Sun Jiahe broke through the coal mine, these "special workers" did not need him to organize them. When they knew it was the Jin-Cha-Ji Army, these "special workers" quickly assembled.

Just tell the Party branch what to do.

Although they were rescued, they did not lose their discipline in the slightest due to excitement. On the contrary, their discipline was very good at this time, and they did not make any noise or run around. Sun Jiahe was the commander of the 16th Regiment and a regimental-level cadre in the Jin-Cha-Ji region.

He is the highest-ranking among the current "special workers".

If the Eighth Route Army's high-ranking officers were captured, they wouldn't have come here. They were all in special Japanese prisons, unless their identities were revealed. The army's strong discipline forced these "special workers" to gather according to their respective brigades and await Sun Jiahe's orders.

Chapter 508 Great Success

"Everyone, I'm going to split into four groups. The reinforced company I'm bringing will attack the Fuxin Railway Guard. The Sixth and Seventh Battalions will take out the two Fuxin police stations. So, can your men fight? Can they take out the Fuxin police stations? Each station has about 400 officers.

After taking over Gaode and Taiping coal mines, Sun Jiahe discussed the next plan with several brigade party branch leaders.

These people were basically Eighth Route Army cadres.

So Sun Jiahe didn't say anything nonsense and started to deploy orders directly.

"Captain Sun, don't worry. We'll have no problem taking down the police station.

The cadres of the Seventh and Eighth Battalions all promised to do so.

If they can’t defeat the regular Japanese army, how can they not defeat those pampered puppet police?

"Okay. Remember one thing, regardless of whether we can successfully take down the police station or not, all troops must evacuate before dawn. After dawn, Japanese planes will come. So we must evacuate Fuxin before dawn. Only in this way can we avoid the bombing of Japanese planes."

"can."

"The Eighth Battalion will then eliminate the Sunjiawan and Hongye coal mines. Rescue as many 'special workers' as possible. After seizing their weapons, we will arm them. The same goes for you. You must quickly eliminate the mine security forces and rescue our comrades. We don't have much time, so we must act quickly."

"Yes."

“And when they were evacuating the coal mine, they used explosives to blow up the mine.

There are nearly 4000 "special workers" in Taiping Coal Mine, so the mine security team here is also quite large, with a total of about people.

It was around one o'clock in the morning when the Taiping Coal Mine was conquered.

Sun Jiahe doesn't have that much time.

He had to deal with things as quickly as possible and then evacuate Fuxin.

So, weapons were given to these people. They each had their own Party branch and were very well organized. Moreover, many were veterans, ready to fight with guns. Sun Jiahe led his troops to deal with the most powerful "Railway Guard."

Originally, the "Railway Guards" were all Japanese troops. Just like the early Kwantung Army, they were deployed along the South Manchuria Railway. For the Japanese, the railway was the foundation of their rule over Northeast China, so they attached great importance to railway security.

However, as the Kwantung Army continued to withdraw troops to the north to confront the Soviet Army, the work of the "Railway Guard" began to be transferred to the puppet Manchukuo Army.

It is considered to be one of the few regular troops of the puppet Manchukuo Army in Fuxin.

Who could have imagined that a small force of less than 300 people would cause such a big stir after entering Fuxin? Of course, this was also related to the fact that these "special workers" were all veterans. They needed no mobilization or organization; they were able to organize themselves. After distributing captured weapons to them, they immediately became a combat-ready army.

Starting at one in the morning, gunfire suddenly rang out across Fuxin. Fighting was going on everywhere.

For Fuxin, a city that had been peaceful for a long time, this battle caught all the Japanese and puppet troops off guard. They didn't understand what was going on and why so many troops suddenly appeared.

Including the Fuxin gendarmerie is also in a hateful state.

The Japanese military police appeared to hold immense power. Many people imagine the military police to be numerous, with individual units comprising hundreds or even thousands of personnel. In reality, the military police force consisted of only a handful of officers. The entire Northeast region had only about 3,000 officers. Even in major Northeast cities like Shenyang, the Japanese military police force numbered no more than 300 to 400. Smaller cities had only a few or a dozen officers. Even in many county towns, there were only one or two actual military police. The military police's power stemmed primarily from their ability to mobilize the secret services and police forces within their jurisdiction.

There aren't many people myself.

Since the disappearance of the Anti-Japanese Allied Forces, the Japanese military police have been idle. What kind of cases do they usually solve? In fact, they are mostly economic cases, mainly involving the hiding of grain by Fuxin residents.

The Japanese did not allow the people of Northeast China to eat fine grains.

Anyone found guilty will be sent to prison. The Japanese military police in Fuxin are primarily responsible for this kind of thing. The so-called anti-Japanese elements they arrest are nothing more than ordinary people complaining.

They know it themselves.

So they don't usually feel any tension.

I didn't expect so many troops to suddenly appear at night. These "special workers" were all veterans of war. They dared to go to the battlefield with just a kitchen knife, let alone equipped with weapons. And if they killed a fake police officer and seized weapons, they would immediately equip another one.

In this way, within a short period of time, the number of people in this army with guns expanded to more than 3000.

There are more fake police officers in Fuxin than Yan Rui said.

The puppet police in Fuxin were divided into mining area security teams, railway patrol teams, various local security police, and economic police specializing in economic crimes. The mining area security teams and railway patrol teams alone numbered over a thousand. Each police station responsible for local security also had a security team and a punitive team, numbering approximately five to six hundred people. These were formed during the Kwantung Army's campaign against the Anti-Japanese United Army. Although the Anti-Japanese United Army is no longer visible in Fuxin, this organization and police force still exist. There are many different types of personnel, all armed.

Moreover, one police station manages multiple local police stations.

There are so many police stations in Fuxin alone that there are 34 of them, and each of them has or fake police officers.

One can imagine how many messy organizations the Japanese army had in Northeast China.

This time, they were basically all wiped out.

After being equipped with a large number of weapons, the troops swept through the local granary before six in the morning. Each person took more than ten days of dry food and left Fuxin in a mighty force.

And it's different from when I came.

We found a train worker willing to help. We pulled the coal train out of Fuxin. Fuxin is the second largest coal mining base in Northeast China after Fushun, so there are many coal trains.

Before dawn, everyone got on the train and headed towards Chaoyang.

After the troops left, the people in Fuxin dared to go out quietly at dawn.

They didn't know what had happened the previous night, only that there had been a chorus of gunfire for hours. Some of the braver ones who came out to take a look were terrified. Many of the mine guards and puppet police had been arrested, shot, or executed, and some were even hanged.

Although the troops left in a hurry.

But some habits just can't be changed.

Anti-Japanese slogans were written everywhere on the streets of Fuxin.

"What does this say?"

“This is an anti-Japanese slogan.”

"This looks like a slogan written by the Anti-Japanese United Army a few years ago."

"Yes."

It is true that there have been no activities of the Anti-Japanese United Army in Fuxin for many years.

But this does not mean that there have been no anti-Japanese troops in Fuxin’s history.

On the contrary, Fuxin has historically hosted numerous anti-Japanese forces. Fuxin's anti-Japanese foundation is exceptionally strong. Historically, Fuxin alone has had fifteen anti-Japanese volunteer armies, totaling over 50,000 men. The Liaoxi Anti-Japanese Volunteer Army's stronghold was in Fuxin and Chaoyang. After the September 18th Incident, the Japanese occupied Northeast China, and Fuxin was subordinate to Rehe.

The Anti-Japanese Volunteers took advantage of this situation and rested their troops in the Fuxin area. When necessary, they would attack from Fuxin. After the battle, they would return to Fuxin for rest and recuperation. This situation lasted for more than a year.

During the Rehe War, many volunteer troops gathered in Fuxin to defend the city. At the time, there were no other military forces in the area except the volunteer troops. Facing over 4000 Japanese and puppet troops, the volunteer army fought for four days and four nights in Fuxin before ultimately withdrawing due to heavy casualties.

Later, this place became the activity area of the First Division of the First Army of the Anti-Japanese Allied Forces.

Although the Anti-Japanese United Army was defeated and retreated to the Soviet Union, it had only been less than ten years since then. Many people had witnessed the Volunteer Army's defense of Fuxin. So when they saw these slogans, they felt as if they were seeing the Volunteer Army and the later Anti-Japanese United Army.

Some people have some small expectations in their hearts.

After the Japanese and puppet troops occupied Fuxin, life became very difficult for the local people. Because the Japanese army needed a large number of laborers, they captured many people in Fuxin and used them as laborers.

Including coal mining.

The death rate among coal miners is very high.

But the people of Fuxin have no choice.

After all, this place has been occupied for almost a decade. Many people have almost forgotten that they are still Chinese. Because in Fuxin now, going to school and even going out to buy food requires speaking Japanese.

Because these supplies are in the hands of the Japanese.

Did they secretly hope for the arrival of the Chinese army? Perhaps they did. But that small hope only lasted a moment, quickly shattered by reality. All they heard was news about the Japanese taking over some major city in the interior and how many Chinese troops they had annihilated.

So they had long despaired of these things.

But today they saw something quite unexpected. None of the usual faux police officers who showed off their power appeared, and many of the mine security guards and faux police officers were simply hung up there.

Then write "The fate of traitors".

Slow down the local traitors.

Some people who could read saw the word "Eighth Route Army" written behind the slogan.
