The three of them walked along the corridor looking for an empty box. In the end, they found only the last box, which was relatively empty. An adult male was lying there sleeping.

The three of them entered the box and closed the door.

Harry cast several Shielding and Isolating Charms at the door.

Hermione was puzzled. Was it necessary to be so cautious? "What are you going to tell us?"

Harry said calmly, "I've seen Black. He's a black dog, and he's an Animagus. I saw him in the Cavendish garden. He was a scrawny stray dog. There are no stray dogs in Garden Avenue."

"So you suspect that the black dog is Black?" Hermione said, "But Animagus must be registered. There's no reason why the Ministry of Magic wouldn't know about it."

"What if he doesn't register? We've broken a lot of school rules," Harry said calmly.

Hermione said, "That's very likely, that's why Black was able to escape Azkaban without anyone knowing he was an Animagus."

Ron was puzzled, "What's an Animagus?"

"It's a Transfiguration spell that turns wizards into animals," Hermione explained. "We need to tell the professor right away."

There happens to be a professor here.

"Wait a minute." Harry stopped her in a low voice. "Remember Scabbers? He's lived a long time. The staff at the pet store said that pet mice can only live for three years at most. How long has Scabbers been in your house?"

Ron's face turned ugly when he heard this. He rolled his eyes and thought for a while, "12 years? I can't remember. It has been in our family for a long time."

"There's no way a mouse could live that long!" said Hermione.

"Keep your voice down," Harry warned.

"Could it be a magical creature?" Ron guessed hopefully.

Hermione ignored his excuses. "If it really is an Animagus, it must be a Dark wizard or a fugitive. Otherwise, it wouldn't have given up its wizarding identity and lived as a rat for so long."

"Maybe it's just an ordinary mouse. You also said how could a wizard bear to be an animal for so long." Ron said anxiously.

"So it must have committed a serious crime," Hermione said firmly.

Ron retorted, "That's impossible!"

"Stop arguing. I have a spell that can break Animagus. Just try it and you'll know."

"Oh, I know, it's the Animagus Apparition Charm," said Hermione.

She said to Ron angrily, "Just try it and you'll know."

"Then when should we try? What if he shows up as an adult wizard, or a dark wizard? We definitely won't be able to handle him." Hermione asked herself and answered, "We must make him appear in the presence of the professor."

Ron said disdainfully, "The professor won't believe your outrageous guess."

Ron is right.

"At the Sorting Ceremony," Harry said decisively.

"I don't think it's good."

Hermione was a little resistant. If Scabbers was really an Animagus, they would ruin the Sorting ceremony.

"Let's do it." Harry made a firm decision. "Ron will take Scabbers with him."

Ron hesitated.

Harry advised, "Ron, if it really is a dark wizard, it would be dangerous to keep it."

"But Scabbers has been with us for so long," Ron said sadly.

"If it really is an Animagus, wouldn't you be scared?" Hermione asked in disbelief. "That's a wizard, a human, who has been hiding in your house for so long."

Hermione and Ron started arguing again.

"Just because it's not your pet, you have no feelings at all?" Ron said loudly.

"Quiet," Harry reminded them quietly.

Chapter 102 Harry Potter 23

As the train moved forward, the surrounding scene became darker and darker, and the clouds in the sky were so thick that they seemed to be falling from the sky.

Harry had a bad feeling.

"I'll go get the luggage."

Harry stood up and prepared to return to the carriage where Yin Li was. He was a little worried about Yin Li who was not by his side.

"You can't carry it by yourself, let me help you." Hermione stood up and said.

"I'm a wizard." Harry said and walked out and closed the box door.

The only people left in the box were Hermione, Ron, and a sleeping professor.

The two had just been arguing and the atmosphere was a bit awkward.

Hermione spoke stiffly, trying to break the deadlock, "Do you think Harry has changed a lot?"

Ron seemed impatient. "Oh, of course. I've grown taller and more handsome. What's there to say about that?"

"That's not what I'm talking about. Didn't you feel it just now? He was so adamant about doing that at the sorting ceremony." Hermione ignored his tone and spoke as calmly as possible.

"I just don't feel what's wrong?" Ron said angrily.

Harry returned to the compartment and said, "There's a compartment at the back of the train that's less crowded. Let's go there."

"Okay." Yin Li replied.

Harry shrunk Hermione and Ron's luggage, then took Crookshanks and Scabbers back to the last compartment.

Ron held Scabbers in his hand and didn't know how to face it.

Hermione angrily opened Crookshanks' basket and let it out.

Yin Li felt that the atmosphere between the two was a bit strange, so she wanted to get close to Harry and ask him.

Harry was a little tall, so Yin Li had to stand on tiptoe to whisper to him. Harry lowered his head slightly to make it easier for him to move.

"Did they have a quarrel?"

The breath of Yin Li's voice blew into Harry's ears, making him feel a little itchy, and his ears turned red unconsciously.

"There were some unpleasant things." Harry lowered his head and said to Yin Li, "It's okay, it will be resolved."

"Hmm." Yin Li did not comment.

He looked at Harry's red ears and smirked.

At one o'clock, the salesperson came to the door of the box with a food cart.

Hermione tried to wake Professor Lupin to no avail.

It started to rain in the afternoon, and the raindrops fell on the car window.

Yin Li looked at Yu Hen in a daze.

Harry's premonition grew stronger and stronger that something bad was about to happen.

The rain was getting heavier and heavier, but the train was moving slower and slower.

Ron said, "We're probably almost there."

"No." Harry took out his wand.

The train jerked and stopped.

Then there were several sounds of heavy objects falling to the ground, and the luggage fell down.

Then the lights on the car went out.

Yin Li illuminated the carriage with fluorescent flashes.

It was incredible that Professor Lupin hadn't woken up from the shock just now.

"What happened?" Ron said a little scared.

Harry opened the carriage door and said cautiously, "I'll go check it out."

As soon as Harry opened the carriage door, Neville fell in. "I'm sorry, do you know what happened? Ouch! I'm sorry..."

Harry grabbed him by the collar and pulled him to his feet.

Then Ginny came over to find Ron.

Professor Lupin finally woke up and said, "Stay here and don't move."

He held his wand and walked towards the door cautiously and vigilantly.

But before he reached the door, a figure appeared outside.

It was a monster wearing a cloak and reaching the ceiling in height.

Its face was hidden beneath its cloak, and it had no feet or body.

The air around seemed to be condensed by it, a chill passed through, and no one dared to make a sound.

Harry saw it reach out its hands, pale and boneless.

The thing beneath its hood gasped.

Lupin still didn't move.

Harry knew he couldn't let it go on like this. "Expecto Patronus!"

A puff of silver steam emerged from Harry's wand, repelling the Dementors.

Lupin turned to look at Harry and praised, "Oh, well done."

He took out some chocolate and shared it with everyone, "Eat some, it's good for you."

Then he walked out of the box and said, "I'm going to talk to the driver."

After he left, several people looked at Harry in amazement.

"What kind of spell was that just now? It was powerful." Neville took a bite of chocolate to ease his mood.

Ginny was frightened and huddled in a corner crying. Hermione came forward to comfort her.

"That's the Patronus." Harry answered casually, looking at Yin Li who was sitting by the window, "Are you okay?"

Yin Li shook his head, "No."
