A wizened old guard stood guard at the ticket gate, and only two or three people were allowed through at a time, so that they wouldn't come out of the solid walls in large numbers at the same time and attract the attention of the Muggles.

"Don't you really need me to ask my dad for some more money?" Draco said to Lecos as they walked to the exit of the platform.

Draco was very dissatisfied that someone had taken away his identity as a wealthy man.

"No need, Cassandra has given you enough." Lycos smiled and shook his head.

"Okay..." Draco sighed, "I'll write you a letter when the time comes."

In the distance, a man with long light blond hair and a woman with black hair waved over here.

Draco ran over and threw himself into the woman's arms.

Lycos said goodbye to Crabbe and Goyle again, then turned his gaze to Cassandra beside him.

"You should know how to contact me, right?" Cassandra said with a faint smile.

"Of course, I still have your two-way book." Lycos also laughed.

The two waved to each other and parted ways at the exit back to the Muggle world...

Now, Lycos was alone, wondering where to go first.

Maybe book a room at the Leaky Cauldron?

However, to Lecos's surprise, a man with black hair and a gray mask suddenly walked in front of him.

"Lex, I'm here to take you back." The man said softly.

"Take me back?" Lycos stood there in a daze, his breathing becoming a little rapid.

A series of questions emerged from my mind -

Wasn't he an orphan who grew up with Voldemort? Wasn't the identity of the Wu Orphanage a fabrication? Wasn't Voldemort already gone?

Then who on earth would know him and say they want to "take him back"?

Before Lycos could figure out who the man in the gray mask was, the man spoke again.

The following words almost made Lycos breathless.

"We have all heard that you completed your mission very well. Voldemort will not be able to cause any waves in the short term..."

"It seems that even after being undercover beside Voldemort for so many years, you haven't forgotten our spirit—"

The man placed his right hand on his left chest, his eyes suddenly becoming fanatical:

"For the greater good!"

Chapter 97 Remarks on the launch

[This book will be available on the shelves at 1:1 on January 00st. Thank you for supporting genuine reading. Thank you! ]

I never expected that I would be writing a thank-you note for my book being published for the third time without realizing it. Two years have passed since I started writing novels, and now I don’t even have the face to call myself a newbie author.

Let's first talk about the issue of explosive updates on shelves that everyone is concerned about -

At least 2000 words will be updated on the day of listing. It will no longer be divided into small chapters of 3000 words like the new book period, but will be combined into large chapters of 5000- words. Three chapters will be released on the first day of listing.

I will try to update more often in the next week, about two chapters a day.

……

Then let’s talk about the performance of this book.

Well... it's very bad, quite bad, even slightly worse than my first random self-congratulatory novel. This is also the only novel of mine that didn't even make it to the second round of recommendations for new books.

Of course, this is also because there have been a lot of things happening in real life recently, and the updates have been very unstable... I am really sorry for everyone about this.

But it’s been fine recently, nothing has happened, and I can update seriously, don’t worry!

As for the new book data... last week's follow-up reading was less than 200, and the editor informed me that I could only update it to 20 words before it could be put on the shelves... Fortunately, after resuming updates, the follow-up reading came back a little, but it doesn't seem to be that much.

So the goal for the first order is also very low, 200 guaranteed, 300 to break even, 400 to make a huge profit. If I can reach 500, I will celebrate by updating words a day for a whole month.

Of course, the hope of 500 is slim, I estimate it will be around two or three hundred.

But everyone who knows me knows that I just don’t like to cut up a book. No matter how bad the result is, since I have already written it, I naturally have to give the story an ending.

So put it on the shelves!

I hope everyone can subscribe to support us, thank you friends!

……

Then some gossip -

The inspiration for this book actually came a long time ago. Even the prototype of the idea was before the previous book "The Blood Professor". I wanted to write a story about an undercover agent who maneuvers between major organizations in the wizarding world.

Hmm... doesn't look like it worked very well.

On the one hand, it seems that it is more popular among HP fan fiction nowadays to integrate settings and stories from other universes, and this kind of single-universe fan fiction has gradually become less popular.

On the other hand, more problematic is my own writing style.

Because I wanted to challenge myself with this book, I added a female protagonist for the first time (a pure author has no idea how to write a female protagonist and can only write based on his feelings).

Therefore, every time I write about the heroine's plot, I get stuck, and the main storyline also loses its sense of proportion, which not only reduces the sense of oppression in the undercover story, but also makes the protagonist's motives seem a bit confusing.

Many people commented in the comment section that the character of Cassandra is toxic... Well, I also feel that it is not well written.

But I still want to write.

It’s not a good idea to always stay in your comfort zone. I just feel sorry for you who are reading this.

Fortunately, the story outline is still complete, at least the main plot is still proceeding step by step...

In addition, this will also be my last fan fiction. Most of the regrets I had in the Harry Potter world have been made up for by words, so I have no regrets.

If after this book is finished, there are readers who want to read other books I have written, then I’ll see if they can find my other aliases!

……

Finally, thank you again to all readers for your support!

Everyone must comment, like and interact more, so that I can see that you are reading. This will bring me endless motivation to update!

Thanks again!

Chapter 98: The Witch Party Occupies the Territory of the Order of the Phoenix (Please Pre-order Now!)

King's Cross Station was crowded with people.

Groups of passengers carrying luggage hurried past in a hurry, their fluttering clothes and colorful luggage intertwined in the crowd, forming a busy and noisy picture.

From time to time, I could hear the clatter of rails, the gushing of hot steam from the locomotive, and the conversations of various people...

These sounds mixed together, but did not affect Lycos's blank mind at all.

"For the greater good!"

These words were like a dull thunderclap in the silent sky, striking Lycos's head heavily.

This was the slogan of Grindelwald and the Wiccan Party led by him decades ago.

Now, this slogan suddenly came out of the mouth of the man next to me, and its meaning was self-evident...

This is a follower of Grindelwald.

And what he said, "It seems that I have been undercover beside Voldemort for so many years", contained so much information that Lecos almost couldn't wrap his mind around it.

In other words... Lycos is actually a member of the Wiccan Party. At a young age, he was placed by them next to Voldemort as an undercover agent. Not long after, he was arranged by Voldemort to be an undercover agent in Hogwarts?

Mission Impossible?

Lycos suddenly had the urge to give up on himself...

I finally drove Voldemort away and was expecting to have a leisurely second and third year, but now you tell me I have to spend more energy dealing with the Wiccan Party?

An unprecedented desire for strength surged into Lycos's heart—

There's no future in being an undercover agent! Magic is power. If he possessed sufficient power, he could easily resolve these troubles with a single spell, instead of living in fear like he does now...

"What are you thinking about?" the man in the gray mask suddenly asked, interrupting Lycos's thoughts.

"Ah, nothing..." Lycos reacted and said quickly, "It's just that I haven't heard this sentence in a long time, and I feel a little emotional..."

In order to avoid suspicion, he immediately picked up the undercover skills he almost abandoned, and imitated the actions of the man in the gray mask, placing his right hand on his left chest.

"For the greater good!"

He displayed unprecedentedly outstanding acting skills, and the fanaticism in his eyes was even more obvious than that of the man next to him.

"Very good, you haven't forgotten our spirit!" The gray-masked man nodded with satisfaction. "Then follow me. It's time to take you to our current base."

"When you get there, tell me in detail what you experienced during your time undercover beside Voldemort..."

He put his hand on Lycos's shoulder.

Lycos suddenly felt that all his organs were squeezed strongly, as if he was stuffed into a rubber water pipe.

Then, the scene in front of me suddenly changed.

The busy and noisy scene of King's Cross Station disappeared, replaced by a silent, messy and barren lawn.

It seemed like a desolate little square.

Lycos had spent the entire day on the Hogwarts Express. Now, a crescent moon hung in the sky, but it cast no light and it was pitch black all around.

Darkness enveloped the square, a dead silence. Surrounding it were houses with gloomy facades, their broken windows emitting a bleak glow under the streetlights. The paint on the walls had long since peeled, making it impossible to discern the colors and patterns they once had.

The stairs on the side were full of garbage, and mosquitoes and flies were buzzing around, which seemed a bit noisy in this quiet environment.

"Our base is in a place like this?" Lycos frowned.

"After all, we were doomed fifty years ago... Conditions are limited, so we have to make do with it." The man in the gray mask said, while rummaging through his pockets.

"But it's better here than in the Albanian forest, right?"

Lycos fell silent.
