"Squeee!" The chipmunk's glowing stripe dimmed, and it jumped back to Han Shun, using its small hands to grab on Han Shun's robe and rest inside his collar.

Bai Shijue was relieved that Han Shun seemed to be accepting this chipmunk quite well. He was worried that he had to take care of this chipmunk all by himself if Han Shun refused.

Bai Shijue carried Han Shun to the hidden waterfall that was untouchable by normal humans. It was the perfect spot for practice. 

He put Han Shun down and instructed, "Go to the waterfall and practice again, just like before. I will be sitting at the edge of the river, watching you."

Han Shun wanted to say that it would be a lot more effective if Bai Gege sat directly in front of him, just like yesterday.

But looking at Bai Gege's expression right now, that didn't seem to be a choice at all. 

Han Shun quietly went to the sitting stone right under the waterfall and started meditating to refine his qi. 

Meanwhile, Bai Shijue made tea for himself and gave Chinchin a bag of chestnuts to eat. Bai Shijue and Chinchin watched Han Shun cultivating while staring at Bai Gege. 

There was no water hitting Han Shun anymore. He was actually completely dry while refining his qi right now.

Bai Shijue was still disturbed by Han Shun cultivating with his eyes open, staring at him with a meaningful and loving gaze. But he couldn't do much since it was proven effective for Han Shun. 

"Chinchin, do you think that Han Shun will be a great immortal cultivator in the future?" Bai Shijue asked Chinchin to waste his time.

The sword was blown away, and a man in a blood-red mask caught it midair. The man was wearing a mask covering his face except for the eyes. He wore a pure black robe and had a thick dark aura familiar to Bai Shijue. 

The man landed on the water, just like Bai Shijue. They were standing toe-to-toe, about ten feet apart. 

Bai Shijue's gaze darkened once he saw the mask. It was also a very familiar mask for him. Because he fought plenty of men with the same mask and came out victorious.

Han Shun was shocked. It took him a few seconds to react. He tried to get up from his seating position to help Bai Gege, but Bai Shijue suddenly threw a talisman to Han Shun's forehead.

Han Shun couldn't feel his body so suddenly. He was petrified like a stone from head to toe. He could only scream in panic, "Bai Gege! Bai Gege, let me help you! Bai Gege!"

Bai Shijue smiled and patted Chinchin, who was still hugging his neck, "Chinchin, go with Han Shun. It's not safe here."

"Squee!"

Chinchin jumped from Bai Shijue's neck and climbed the small rocks to reach Han Shun. Once he hugged Han Shun, he signaled, "Squee!"

"Bai Gege! No, Bai Gege, I will help you! Arrrrghh!" Han Shun tried to exert all his strength to release himself from the bind to no avail. He was so scared that something bad might happen to Bai Gege.

"I can handle this, Han Shun. I will return after the fight ends, leave now," Bai Shijue said. He snapped his finger, and Han Shun disappeared into thin air, alongside Chinchin. 

They had been returned to a secret hideout that Bai Shijue reserved in case there was a sudden attack like this. He was worried that his residence might have been invaded as well. 

"Who are you?" Bai Shijue asked. 

"You don't need to know my name, but I'm here to avenge my master!" The man in a bloody red mask answered.

"Your master? He has been dead for 30 years now. I thought his demonic sect would disperse after that," Bai Shijue chuckled. He looked at the invisible machine beside him. "Pupa, it's okay for you to show yourself, right?"

Pupa materialized in front of Yunyu and that man, "Yes, I can."

"Okay, we will fight this random man together."
