Rebirth-First Class Magician
Chapter 4.1
The dark-clothed man’s voice was not loud, and it seemed he had long known that Asa could hear him, even if there was such a long distance between them.
Looking at the youth who had suddenly stopped, the dark-clothed man laughed.
“You know my name?” The youth asked in a hoarse voice.
Asa looked cautiously at the man, who was still standing under the tree.
“Of course, I know. You are my master.” The black-clothed man bowed slightly, and Asa could finally only see his facial feature even if he just saw a tall bridge nose.
“Master?”
“I don’t know who I am.” With a vigilant look, Asa unconsciously took a step back.
“What do you want from me? What do you want me to do?”
“If you have a serpentine necklace on your neck, then you are indeed my master. Finding you is the purpose of my trip.” The black-clothed man straightened up, and looked up at the sun, and smiled mildly at him.
“And for what I want you to do? I’m just here to pick you up and take you home. I will explain my identity on the road.”
He added, “If we delay, we have to wait for the sun to set before moving.”
Seeing the black-clothed man, slowly approaching him Asa retreated nervously.
The black-clothed young man leaned his head and smelled the air. “Moreover, your body is full of awful odors. Do you not want to wash it?”
“…”
Asa sat alertly in the corner of the car’s back seat, he tried to sit far away from the dark-clothed man who drove the car.
“You don’t have to be nervous in front of me, I am responsible for teaching the young members of the bloodlines.” The man explained without looking back.
“My name is Samuel, and I am your housekeeper.”
“Samuel,” Asa repeated and nodded.
Asa carefully asked, “Do you have a driver’s license?”
“…” The dark-clothed man frowned and asked, “Don’t you have memory loss, are you sure?”
Asa looked at the passing trees on the roadside, and said, “I don’t have the memory about myself, it doesn’t mean that I don’t have common sense.”
Samuel slowly raised his eyebrows and in a low voice asked, “Do you have too many memories in your head?”
“What did you say?” Asa turned to look at the man.
“It’s nothing.”
Asa frowned and looked at the trees, his mind was filled with all kinds of suspicion, for his past and future.
He didn’t know why he followed this person. Maybe because this man might know his past, or maybe because the priests said they were going to call someone from London, and it might be risky to live alone.
