[A/N: The chapter is a little smaller today, I will try to get 1k+ words for the next chapter next week, hopefully Driving School doesn't kick my a.s.s this week]

Once I stored the iron and gold away in my storage room I walked over to my bedroom and collapsed onto my bed with exhaustion.

Once I awoke in the morning I spent a few hours strip mining in my mineshaft and then used my Smeltery to smelt down all the ores I mined.

After the mining, I gained 4 and a half stacks of coal, 148 ingots of iron, 23 Gold Ingots, a stack of copper, 32 Copper Ingots, some lead, and 2 Diamonds!

I was surprised I got so few diamonds, I must have been unlucky.

The way I strip mine is by digging a 3x3 hole in one direction, then leave a two-block space in between before starting another strip mine.

I stored all of my mined goods before asking myself 'What should I do today?'

Well, I would go exploring but the last time I did that It did not go well for me...

So, I decided to fortify and expand my base.

Hopefully, if I can fortify my base enough then I won't have to worry about Blood Moon events anymore and actually continue working through the nights.

Although I could technically stay awake for days without being exhausted because of my player body that does not mean that I do not feel mental exhaustion, if I were to be relaxed I could stay up days if not a week before needing to sleep.

But with how dangerous the nights are I haven't been able to do that at all.

So, If I could build strong enough fortifications that would stop all monsters from even nearing my base then I will do it!

So I immediately got to work.

I first built a wall, yes a wall.

I made the wall of stone and wood and made the wall 10 blocks high.

Although the wall kinda looks plain and basic I plan on doing more expansions in the future, so I don't want to put too much work into something I will eventually tear down.

Building the wall took me a few hours and once I was done with that I started my next project, expanding the farms.

I added in a few new crops, specifically Pumpkins,

I wanted to create my own Golems using the Pumpkins.

On my farm was Wheat, Carrots, Potatoes, Chille Peppers, Corn, Strawberries, Tea, Rice, Onions, Garlic, Bell peppers, and Gr.a.p.es.

And in my Orchard were also several different kinds of trees I cut down and replant for wood.

I do this so I don't have to leave the comfort and safety of my base.

Speaking of which I need to name my base.

Hmm...how about Haven?

Uh...I can't really think of names, I will decide later.

Next, I expanded my animal pasture.

Currently, I had 28 Cows, 13 Sheep, 6 Pigs, and 15 Chickens.

Obviously, my Animal Pasture is a little cramped, so I definitely need to expand it.

But for now, I will just double its size.

And once I was done with that I created many, many torches and made sure that the entire base would be lit at night to prevent monsters from spawning within the compound.

I even made sure to light the top of the walls, the side of the walls, and even outside the walls.

I stored away all the excess material I was carrying and wondered what I should do with my two hours of daylight left.

In the end, I decided to do a few chores around the base.

First I cut down all the tall grass before harvesting and replanting all my grown crops and storing them in my c.h.e.s.t.

I produce a lot more than I use so I have almost a full double c.h.e.s.t of different edibles and ingredients.

Although I might not have a use for them I feel I may need them in the future, even If I don't need them I could always sell them for some coin.

After I did that I then spent the remaining time I had to cook my dinner and eat it.
