Second Chance: Raising A Yandere Demon Lord

Seeing the five year old boy crouching on the ground, Odette walked over to him. Beside him on the ground was the body of the kitten, and it seemed that Adrian was trying to dig into the ground.

Standing beside the boy, she voiced out, "You are going to get into trouble for doing something like this at here."

Hearing Odette's voice, the five year old instantly turned his head to face her, and while hints of tears were visible upon his face, Odette noticed the new wounds that formed upon his face— most likely from getting into a fight with Dennis once more.

"Mom said that everyone should be buried after they are dead, and this is the only place I could find to bury White. Can't I?" he vocalised.

"I guess I can allow you to do that since this is my garden," she stated, "But there is no use in doing something like that. White is already dead. This body is just a useless piece of flesh at this moment."

"I still want to do it, Lady Odette," he vocalised, "Whenever I miss White, at least I can come and see this. That would be fine for me."

"I don't get your sentiments, but do as you want," she coldly vocalised.

"Earlier, Dennis had once again mentioned on how all of this happened because I am too weak, Lady Odette. Lady Odette, I don't want to be weak. I lost my mom and White already because of how weak I am. I don't want to end up losing you as well," Adrian stated.

Odette just silently stared at the boy, not knowing how to respond. These days she was left speechless very often by the boy.

Maybe because of how she was starting to hold certain expectations towards the boy was the reason behind this change within her.

Odette chuckled, and trying to ease the situation to something she preferred— or at least how she thought suited her— she joyfully said, "You need to train really hard for that then. The number of people that wants my lives are more than you can imagine."

Adrian's eyes widened while those words sunk into him, and letting out a gasp, he questioned, "People wants to kill you?"

"Kill me? It would be best if it was only to that point. They want to torture me, and there are worse that you are better off not knowing, Adrian, for now," she said, "Why don't you just bury the kitten for now?"

That's when, something caught Odette's eyes, and she made her way over to it. Picking up the piece of wooden board that leaned against the tree trunk, she turned back to make her way over to Adrian.

As the boy placed the kitten carefully inside the ground and covered him up, Odette placed the wooden board on the ground and took out her dagger swiftly.

Using the sharp edge of the dagger, she began to carve out a name on the board.. The name 'White' could distinctly be seen upon the board.
