Second Chance: Raising A Yandere Demon Lord

An exasperated expression sat on Odette's face while she made the boy spit the milk out on her handkerchief. After that, a solemn look showed on her face.

"Bold, aren't you?" she questioned. "Now, go and rinse your mouth!"

Odette didn't know how to describe how she felt currently. For a second there, she was truly scared; never did she expect for him to take this step.

"You aren't going to drink that anymore?" Adrian asked, holding the handkerchief in his hands.

Raising one of her eyebrows, she said, "Do you think I will be able to do that after you drank from this glass?"

Instantly, the boy revealed a bright smile and said, "I will be going then, and be back in a while."

With that, Adrian turned back and stepped out of the room after glancing at her. Pressing her lips into a thin line, Odette stared at the milk and shook her head.

Now that he had gone and done this, there was no need for her to play along with this.

"Lady Odette, your mother has requested for your presence."

When Vanessa delivered that message, Odette wasn't least bit surprised. She didn't bother lifting her head. An interested expression sat on her face while she went through the book in her hand.

Over these two years, she dealt with her mother limited number of times. Giving the excuse Odette was busy, she rarely paid a visit to her mother.

Her recent progress made her father truly proud of her, and Odette's mother was satisfied. Thus, being sensible, Odette's mother didn't force her either.

A ugly frown showed on Vanessa's face when she realized Odette was ignoring her. The maids were smart enough to retreat from the room then.

Lady Odette's outbursts were random, and even if Odette appeared to be significantly pleased, who knew how long would that be maintained?

Adrian stood behind Odette, shifting his gaze between Odette and Vanessa. Learning the matters in this place, over this period of time, he grew aware of the relationships even if few things made him confused.

"Lady Odette, the matter is urgent," Vanessa urged.

There was no big reason as to why Odette was not paying mind to Vanessa; she simply didn't like Vanessa and wanted to irritate her.

Raising her head, she looked at Adrian and expressed, "This book, I will give it to you. Since you have created trouble for you, I expect you to be done with this book today and give me a review on it. You will be punished if I am not satisfied."

Adrian, dumbfounded, accepted the book from Odette and stared at her with grievances in his eyes. She, nevertheless, avoided his gaze.

Lifting the cup on the table, she elegantly took a sip out of it, and a smile sat on her face while she faced Vanessa. After that, she lazily stated, "I refuse."

Vanessa was caught off guard, but she wasn't the one who was unable to read the air. There was no way she was foolish enough to provoke Odette.

However, things would turn out to be detrimental for her if she went with a negative response to Odette's mother. She was in a sticky position right now.

Faced with no choice and balancing the options, Vanessa swallowed her pride to go down on her knees and plead, "Please, Lady Odette, your mother urgently asked for you. I am unable to leave without bringing you."

Hearing those words did make Odette feel amused. How long has it been since someone had disobeyed her? Getting up from her place, Odette stepped over to Vanessa.

Odette's steps came to a halt when she stepped in front of Vanessa. Her eyes held a frightening coldness to them, capable of chilling one's bone.

"Fine," Odette expressed. "Stay then.. I was desperate for a company anyway."
