Heju always looked so perfect and cold, but when they were alone, she treated Mujin with affection. Mujin gazed at her sharp eyes, red lips, and porcelain skin. She was his dream woman.

Only if he could kiss her just once…

It was shocking that Heju didn’t have a boyfriend.

Mujin replied, “I’m fine, so you don’t have to be upset for me.”

“I can’t help it,” Heju muttered.

“Then if I get this job, you should buy me dinner. That’ll make me feel much better.”

“Hmm?”

When Heju looked up at him, his eyes became smoldering. Noticing a fallen eyelash on her cheek, he gently brushed it off and winked. He insisted again,

“Promise me you’ll buy me dinner!”

“Of course, I will! Now, go and do your magic. Good luck!” Heju cheered for him.

After Mujin walked into the audition room, Heju leaned against a wall in the hallway. It was bad timing that Mujin’s manager quit at the same time when this happened. Heju had no choice but to accompany Mujin today.

The audition was taking place inside one of the major broadcasting studios. Heju saw many familiar faces. Because she has been working in the entertainment industry for a long time, many recognized her as well.

“Should I go to my car and wait there?” Heju murmured to herself.

She looked down at her shoes and sighed. She knew the audition was going to take a while, so she felt awkward standing around in the studio where people were walking by constantly.

“I hope it works out for Mujin…”

She really hoped Mujin got this role for the movie. Heju was contemplating about this and that when suddenly, a man approached her. Recognizing the familiar scent, Heju looked up slowly to find Gunwoo gazing down at her. He asked,

“What are you doing here?”

“Huh? Oh, that’s right!”

“What?”

Heju had just remembered that Gunwoo had a photoshoot in this same studio today. Gunwoo looked down at her with a frown and got closer. Feeling a little embarrassed that she had forgotten Gunwoo’s schedule completely, Heju tried to change the subject. She asked,

“Did you eat lunch yet? Are you done for the day?”

“You forgot about me because of Ha Mujin’s schedule, didnt’ you?”

“It’s not like that, Gunwoo. It was just such a hectic day today that I wasn’t thinking straight.”

Heju tried to explain, but Gunwoo’s frown only became deeper. He complained,

“That’s how a scandal occurs, you know. Touching each other’s face like that in public is a dangerous idea.”

Heju could hear the annoyance in his voice. It seemed that Gunwoo had been watching Heju and Mujin. Gunwoo and Mujin were the same age, so it was odd that they hated each other so much. Heju couldn’t understand why the two guys didn’t get along, but she never made a big deal about it.

Heju explained,

“Mujin lost his manager, so I just brought him here. That’s all.”

“…”

“Is it okay for you to be out and about like this? It’s lunch time, so shouldn’t you be… Ngh! Hey! What do you think you’re doing?!”

Heju yelled in shock. It happened so suddenly that she didn’t have the time to even react. Gunwoo grabbed Heju’s hand and dragged her to an unknown place. People walking by looked at them oddly, but it seemed Gunwoo didn’t care.

“Let go of me, Lee Gunwoo!”

Heju gritted her teeth and ordered, but Gunwoo refused to listen. He dragged her all the way to the end of the hallway and opened the emergency exit.

Slam!

“Hey! You bastard!”

The light in the emergency stairs was dim. It was also very quiet where they stood as well, probably because there was no one else around.

Heju saw that Gunwoo was staring at her intently, but she didn’t care what he thought. This behavior was unacceptable. She frowned up at him angrily as Gunwoo said to her,

“You better stop working as his manager. I mean it.”

She could hear the burning anger in his tone. Finding this situation ridiculous, Heju smirked and replied,

“Mujin doesn’t have a manager right now. You know we’re also short on staff at the office, so I need to do this. I’m only trying to be helpful. Don’t be so unreasonable, Gunwoo.”

“Mujin not having a manager isn’t my problem. Just stop spending so much time with him,” Gunwoo growled.

“This isn’t your business at all! What does it matter to you?! Do I have to get permission from you to do my job now?”

Even in the dark, Gunwoo’s eyes glowed angrily as he grabbed her chin. Heju, who had been yelling, flinched. The silence around them felt so suffocating that she couldn’t breathe.

After a long deafening silence, Gunwoo leaned towards her and whispered,

“You really don’t know why I’m doing this?”

“Lee Gunwoo…”

“Or are you pretending not to know? By the way, what did Ha Mujin say to you earlier?”

At Gunwoo’s unexpected question, Heju had to ponder for a while. What did she talk to Mujin about?

Well, she wished him luck, and he asked her to buy him dinner if he got the part. It was an ordinary conversation, so why was Gunwoo so angry about it?
