Nuwa snapped back from her stupor when she noticed that Ruo Xie's fighting speed was becoming slower.

The group of Bandits was finally successful as they started concerning the remaining Imperial guards. The mischievous grin on Nuwa's face turned stiff when she observed that out of blue, the guard besides Ruo Xie loudly fell from his horseback.

"What's happening!"

Ruo Xie shouted in horror on his teammate's condition. It was natural for him being so concerned since his teammates were like his brothers. Even before the formation of the eagle guard, they were friends and together, they had fought in many battles.

If there was no gas effect today, his subordinates could have already killed these small pests without batting eyes.

He alone was enough to cease the entire group.

However, he was unfortunate as the situation was totally unfavorable on his sides. The unconscious gas was really powerful, slowly affecting their nervous system. He even yawned a few times without a whit of realization.

If his fellow comrades die in the hands of these ants today, it would be his and their greatest humiliation. Ruo didn't want them to sacrifice their lives like this!

As a result, he hurriedly ran to check how bad his subordinates condition was and if there was any whit of a chance of them being alive. Howbeit he was disappointed soon when he saw the guy didn't die rather he was sleeping soundly.

"F*ck! Hey, wake up!"

After struggling for a while, the sleepy man finally opened his eyelids. He replied in a sleepy voice.

"Captain... I am sorry..."

*yawn*

"...can't open my eyes..."

*yawn*

"it's been such a long time..."

The guy could not even finish his sentence as he drove into deep slumber.

Ruo Xie foolishly looked at his partner. That guy was loudly snoring.

"You idiot, wake up!"

Ruo Xie shook the guard's body as if he was already dead. Some bandits giggled on the scene, Ruo Xie's behavior was really funny. He was acting like his subordinate died in the war.

Ruo Xie really had the urge to kill this man. He also felt extremely embarrassed as well as betrayed. Embarrassed because he was acting foolishly, he became a joke of these lowlifes. And betrayed because of his subordinate's behavior.

How can that guy act as he had never slept peacefully in his entire life!

He rediscovered that slowly the others were also following the suit as the whole ground turned into their bed.

The entourage of bandits soon weirdly stopped attacking the imperial guards. He left the angry Ruo Xie alone.

Ruo Xie balled his fist, so he was nothing their eyes now that they thought it was unworthy of confronting him!

"Wake up, comrades! Don't lose your consciousness."

Ruo Xie frustratingly shouted in the middle of his sleeping group, alone. Now he had a great urge to kill his own people.


The bandits found Ruo Xie's actions funny. So they started to laughed loudly when mocking him.

"Mr. Useless, don't waste your breath. They are not gonna wake up any time soon."

"Next time, train them more often so that they won't sleep easily. Ha ha ha..."

"Yes, it takes only a minute for an elephant to get into a deep sleep. It's not easy to resist. But you guys hold for such a long time." Someone exclaimed in the group.

"He is stiill concious! He is the second person I have seen who has such a high tolerance after our boss. He must be a very high level martial artist!"

Soon a small crowd formed beside Ruo Xie. Unlike before, their eyes were shinning with admiration.

Ruo Xie felt extremely uncomfortable. It was difficult for him to endure the drowsiness. These people were debating and praising when looking at him as if he was a rare zoo animal.

He was trapped.

If it was any other time, Nuwa would laugh her ass off on Ruo Xie's misfortune. It was such a hilarious turn of events.

But now, she didn't. She was rather sympathizing him. She realized he was in grave danger now since bandits would also rob qualified people. They might pester or blackmail him to join their organization.

Now she had to do something. She had to save him.

"Watch over here."

Ordering, the Stony face left when nodding with the wound face guy. He then joined the big crowd of people which was kinda close to Nuwa. She curiously observed at the crowd.

Nuwa wanted to understand the situation before she takes any action against them since she was alone.

No, she was not as courageous like other thought.

So, it was convenient to taste the water first so that the chances of failure could decrease.

She saw a tall, sturdy man was standing in the middle of the crowd. His dress was just like the rest of people, worn out and dirty. However, the air around him was different from the rest of the crowd. Even though she could not get the chance to see his face because his back was facing her, she could still fee he was dangerous and ruthless.

Holding a sharp sword, he was instructing the rest of bandits. Based on the crowds' enthusiastic and respectful behavior, she could assume that he was their leader.

When Nuwa realized that the robber behind her, wound face, was distracted sh he was looking at the bandit leader with admiring eyes and tried to overhear the crowds topic of conversation. h

Nuwa took the chance, her eyes turned cold as she slowly took out a small box from her sleeves.
