Sherlock Holmes at Hogwarts
#113 - Hermione, you do have a gift for observation.
The air around the Hogwarts school hospital was filled with a faint scent of herbs.
Madam Pomfrey, the head nurse, hurriedly led Sherlock, Hermione, and Ron to Harry's bedside.
She greeted Headmaster Dumbledore first, then frowned at Sherlock, who was at the head, and said, "Only five minutes."
"However, I suggest you go and find your bandage. I think you must have left it somewhere."
Hearing Sherlock's words, Madam Pomfrey subconsciously looked down, her eyes widened instantly, and she exclaimed:
"Oh, Merlin's beard!"
Her hands fumbled over her body, then she turned and left.
Because she moved so fast, her skirt stirred up a breeze.
Dumbledore was no longer surprised that Sherlock could tell Madam Pomfrey had lost her bandage.
Now, his surprise was more about Sherlock's attitude towards Madam Pomfrey.
He stroked his long beard and said, "Sherlock, I never knew you were so polite."
"Before you made Harry face Voldemort, I was always very polite to you, sir."
Sherlock raised his chin slightly, looking directly at Dumbledore with a calm and unyielding expression.
The corners of Dumbledore's mouth twitched slightly, and the expression on his face froze for a moment.
He felt like he was asking for a scolding.
So he decisively decided to change the subject.
His gaze returned to the candy box on the table, and Dumbledore picked up a toffee-flavored Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Bean, saying:
"You just said...you don't recommend that I eat this toffee-flavored Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Bean?"
"Just a personal feeling."
Sherlock folded his arms and replied calmly.
"Okay."
Dumbledore was happy to take advice on such matters.
He unhesitatingly put down the golden-brown bean and took a greyish-looking bean from the box, throwing it into his mouth.
Soon, his brow furrowed, and a satisfied expression appeared on his face:
"Ah, pepper!"
With Sherlock and the others' arrival, Dumbledore didn't stay any longer, ate the Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Bean, and left.
After Dumbledore left, Harry, Hermione, and Ron all looked at Sherlock with a mixture of surprise and admiration.
"Sherlock, you're so brave!"
Ron blurted out after making sure Dumbledore had left, his face full of shock and admiration.
"That's Dumbledore! The strongest person in the wizarding world! How dare you talk to him like that?"
Sherlock hadn't originally planned to explain.
However, when he noticed that Harry and Hermione hadn't spoken but their eyes showed agreement with Ron's words, he felt it was necessary to explain.
He couldn't let his friends go down the wrong path.
"The truth often lies hidden behind layers of mist, and authority stands like a seemingly unshakeable colossus on the path of public perception.
When reason rings the alarm in your heart, never be silent for fear of authority.
Only in this way can you expose falsehoods and defend the truth, instead of missing the opportunity to see the light through the clouds in blind worship."
He paused and said, word by word:
"My friends, never lose the courage to oppose authority."
Hearing Sherlock's words, Harry and Hermione lowered their heads and pondered.
"That's right, but it's meaningless."
Ron spread his hands, a helpless smile on his face, "Anyway, only you can do that kind of thing."
Obviously, he was giving up again.
After saying this, Ron turned his attention to Harry, his eyes flashing with curiosity:
"Do you know that the whole school is talking about this, so what exactly happened back then?"
This was what he wanted to find out the most.
Harry looked at Sherlock and Hermione.
Because he didn't know what had happened after Quirrell broke free from his hands.
Dumbledore had just told him to ask Hermione.
Thinking of this, he simply asked back, "What happened to you afterwards?"
"I, I returned very smoothly."
Ron said with a proud expression, his chest held high, his face filled with a smug smile.
"As soon as I woke up, I found Professor McGonagall and Snape...Professor Snape had arrived together.
Do you know, Professor Snape's eyes were even scarier than when he usually deducted points.
He only said one sentence, 'Potter went, didn't he?'
Then he rushed towards the next room.
I wanted to go too, but Professor McGonagall forcibly sent me out of the room.
She herself led the moving chess pieces to chase Professor Snape."
Ron said with some regret, then he changed the subject:
"Okay, stop talking about me, quickly tell me what happened after you passed the chessboard array.
Everyone is saying all sorts of things, but these two guys refuse to say anything..."
Speaking of this, Ron glanced at Sherlock and Hermione resentfully.
It was an adventure for four people, but I didn't deserve to have my name mentioned.
Harry couldn't help but smile, and told everything from beginning to end.
Generally speaking, the heroic adventures that people imagine are often more thrilling than the real situation.
Because these contents will unconsciously add the storyteller's artistic processing.
However, this time the Philosopher's Stone incident was the opposite.
The real story was even more bizarre than imagined.
Not only Ron, who hadn't experienced all this, but even Sherlock and Hermione, who were personally involved, listened patiently.
Whenever he talked about dangerous places, Ron would become nervous and unconsciously grab the railing of the bed.
Especially when Harry talked about the face under Quirrell's turban, Ron screamed and shrank back, almost falling off the chair.
"And then?"
Ron asked quickly, his voice trembling slightly with nervousness and curiosity.
"What happened to Quirrell, what happened to the Philosopher's Stone, what happened to the Dark Lord?"
"Then I fainted."
Harry said apologetically, a look of annoyance on his face, "When I woke up again, I was already here."
As he spoke, he looked at Sherlock and Hermione again.
"Hermione, tell the story from then on."
Sherlock suddenly said.
"Me?"
Hermione was stunned, pointed at herself, and a surprised expression appeared on her face.
Seeing Sherlock nodding, and looking at Harry and Ron's expectant eyes, she sighed.
"Okay, I'll tell it."
After Hermione finished telling the whole story from her perspective, Sherlock said approvingly:
"Hermione, you do have a talent for observation. Your description is very helpful to me and allows me to think about this event from another angle."
Hermione: "...So should I be proud of that?"
"Of course!"
Ron laughed, "This is confirmation from Detective Sherlock, I think you can specialize as Sherlock's assistant and help him investigate cases."
Hermione's eyes lit up immediately.
But before she could speak, Sherlock said, "We have to leave."
Before the others could react to what was happening, Madam Pomfrey had strode in.
There was a serious expression on her face: "You've been here for almost fifteen minutes, get out of here."
Her voice was firm and unquestionable.
Obviously, she had found the missing medical bandages - they were now draped over her arm.
After walking out of the hospital, Ron shook his head and said, "Too bad, Madam Pomfrey said Harry has to rest in the hospital for a few more days."
"He suffered mental trauma and should rest for a few more days."
"But that way, he'll miss the last Quidditch match!"
Ron waved his hands excitedly, "Without Harry as the Seeker, we definitely won't be a match for Ravenclaw!"
Sherlock frowned slightly upon hearing this.
He had to admit that the sport of Quidditch was too dependent on the Seeker.
An excellent Seeker could drastically improve a team's strength.
Just as Ron said, if Gryffindor didn't have Harry as the Seeker, they wouldn't be a match for Ravenclaw in the final House Cup game this year.
The duck that was about to be cooked flew away.
However, Sherlock's brow then relaxed.
Compared to Harry's health, not to mention one trophy, even eight or ten wouldn't matter to him.
As for how to play the last game, let Wood, the captain, worry about it.
Hermione wasn't very concerned about this either.
She looked at Sherlock, and was about to say something, when a rough voice rang out:
"Hey! You three!"
The three turned their heads and saw Hagrid's tall figure came into view.
"Hi, Hagrid, what are you doing here?"
Ron stepped forward and greeted him with a smile.
But unexpectedly, as soon as Hagrid saw the three of them, he burst into tears:
"It's all my fault, it's all my fault!"
He covered his face with his hands and cried, "It was me who told that villain how to subdue Fluffy!
It was me who told him! He knew everything, he just didn't know this, but I just had to tell him!"
Hermione and Ron looked in shock at Hagrid, who was trembling with grief and remorse, large tears seeping into his beard.
Only Sherlock was very calm.
He looked Hagrid up and down, "You just went to the hospital, didn't see Harry, and were kicked out by Madam Pomfrey."
"You're right, that's exactly it!"
Hagrid's voice was even louder, and tears fell like beads from a broken string:
"You guys almost lost your lives! All for a dragon egg!
I'll never drink again! I should be kicked out and be a Muggle for the rest of my life!"
For Hagrid, this was the most severe punishment he could think of.
His huge size was already noticeable, and now that he was crying so loudly, he attracted the attention of everyone nearby.
"Hey, Hagrid, don't be like this!"
"Look, we're all fine, aren't we?"
"Harry is also fine, he just needs to rest for a few more days..."
Ron and Hermione tried to coax and persuade him, but still couldn't stop Hagrid from crying.
Until Sherlock spoke:
"Hagrid, you don't want Harry to be unable to leave the hospital, do you?"
