I arrived at the shed along with Ash. I put Rocinante back into his stable and filled his water and food trough.

Ash was already laying curled up on my futon in the shed. Probably he was tired from being too excited since it was his first time visiting the town.

After having a decent meal, I went to the blacksmith workshop together with Ash. 

First, what was the meaning of a ‘water attribute’ in this merman’s scale description? Usually in RPGs, this was a term used to give fire resistance or something like that. 

For the time being, I decided to put the investigation of this item on hold. I turned the scale into fine powder and stored them in the storage area for later. 

Next, I melted the precious iron I had bought before together with the ash wolf’s fang and coal. I hammered this bright red metal in order to make a shortsword.

I see. So you will get the thunder attribute if you combine water and fire attributes together.

I decided to try to polish this wolverine sword with thunder magic powder.

After 15 minutes of polishing, the wolverine sword finally began to glow in yellow and started letting out small sparks. I appraised the sword.

I tested the finished sword on wood and there was an electric discharge on the cut before it started to burn. The sharpness was several times better than the pig iron sword I had been using. And so, I decided to make this wolverine thunder sword as my main weapon.
