Chapter 2

“Oi Ryu, do you know where Shunsuke went to?”

“n〜? Who knows〜? I haven’t seen him since early morning.”

“Damn, he ran away from farm work again huh?”

It was a common conversation recently.

“Calm down, he’s still just a kid, so……”

“It’s like Big Brother has said, Pops……”

Shunsuke’s father Tamosuke asking about Shunsuke’s whereabouts from his two elder brothers had already become a common occurrence.  

“You two……”

Father glared at the two with narrowed eyes.

“You two, you’re just leaving him alone because he would always hunt birds and rabbits right!”

In a slightly tall mountain a little far away from this village, monsters rarely appear and small critters live there.

Recently, I always come back after hunting so my big brothers would put a blind eye when I go out.

And the reason for that is because my big brothers are respectively 15 and 14 years old so their appetite has increased.

Because of that, the meals with vegetables as the main dishes feels a little unsatisfactory and they would usually praise me when I hunt animals although it is a secret from my parents.

The thing that I am always thinking of ever since I reincarnated was, although it is in a different world, it is still a new life, so I think that I would live straight forward towards the things I get interested to.

And the thing that I am interested in right now is controlling magic powers.

There wasn’t much written in the book I found in Kyoko’s house, but the thing that I wanted to learn after knowing that there is magic is the Identification Magic.

It is because I thought that it is very important to live in this world, not to mention identifying food ingredients, but also being able to identify the abilities of monsters.

What written in the book was, if one would control magic powers and concentrate them into one’s eyes, one would be able to Identify by chanting the Identification Spell.

Adding to that, controlling magic powers will be a very important ability during battles against magical beasts.

This country, the country of Hinata, it is a country where the arts of fighting with cladding magic powers to one’s body called Battle Magic Arts is famous for in this world.

It is also written in the story that Kyoko read for me.

This world is in a three-way struggle between the Demon Continent where the demons live, Beast Continent where the beastmen live, and the Human Continent where the humans live.

And within those, it is the country of Hinata’s samurais who brought it to the armistice during the fight against the beastmen who has very high physical abilities compared to the humans in the disadvantage using the Battle Magic Arts.

“Well then, let’s start it today as well……”

I was warned by my parents, but I entered far deeper to the small mountains where monsters appear.

Finally when I was 5, I was able to somehow use Battle Magic Arts and Identification Arts so I started to fight monsters little by little, and I am 7 years old right now.

ーーgasagasagasa……!!

“Oh?”

“GUGYAGYA……”

An ugly faced small being with the height of about 1 meter appeared from the bushes.

“What, it’s a goblin again huh〜”

It is the goblin which is very famous in RPGs.

For safety precautions, I am not entering that deep within the forest yet, so only low ranked monsters like goblins and slimes appear.

Recently, although it is only against a small number, I can finally defeat them without using Battle Magic Arts so I started to get tired of them.

“Ha!!”

“GYAA!!!”

I did a horizontal slash using the wooden sword that I made myself and easily killed the goblin.

I have hesitated a little at first, but thinking that that kind of hesitation might be the cause of my death, I’m thinking of defeating them very quickly is for the best.

“Maybe I should go deeper in the forest today〜”

Deep in the forest, there are humanoid monsters with ugly pig faces the Orcs and wolves, monsters that even adults would be in danger, so the villagers would not go there.

Right now, there isn’t any difficulty fighting those monsters if I use Battle Magic Arts, so I spent my time around this place where there isn’t anyone around practicing magic.

“There’s nothing change today as well huh〜.  n?”

I was strolling in the forest just as usual, but I found two people who I have never seen ever before walking from afar.

“Ah! It’s foreigners・・・”
