Chapter 7

Today I am going to the small mountains where one-horned rabbits usually make their nests with the two.

I asked them to teach me how to make a Magic Bag so I’m helping them.

“Ah! It’s a goblin.”

I found one goblin a little far away.

“It’s true.”

Pedro took out his long sword.

“It looks like it’s being attacked by sound kind of bird?”

There are two birds attacking the goblin.

The goblin received the attacks for a while but slapped one of the birds and stomped on it when it fell and crushed the other one with its hand.

“It looks like it noticed us.”

The goblin noticed us and charged.

“Ha!!”

Pedro easily chopped the goblin into two.

“I wonder what kind of bird it is?”

I looked at the bird’s carcass that can’t be seen here usually.

“Ｃｕｅｒｖｏ ｒｏｎｄａ.”

“Eh?!”

“Ahh〜, in this country’s words, it’s ‘Round Bird’ I think.”

When I reacted to the words Pedro mumbled, Nicolas told me that.

“Round Bird……, it’s exactly like that.”

Two literally round birds fell on the ground.

“It can be seen in any forest on the continent, but in this country, I think that it can be seen in the west?”

“It’s a monster that won’t attack unless it’s their breeding period and it’s as weak as a slime so don’t worry about it.”

“Then, there’s a nest around here?”

I thought of that hearing what Nicolas and Pedro said and looked around.

“Ah! There it is.”

There is a nest hidden with the overlapping branches so I climbed the tree and peeked inside the nest.

“Ah! There’s one egg inside.”

There is one egg smaller than a hen’s egg inside the nest.

“Is it okay to eat this?”

When I was about to identify it if can be eaten, the egg cracked.

“nn?”

ーー*crack!* *crack* *crack……* ーーー*CRACK!*

“Ah?!!”

After a while, a chick came out of the split egg.

“……pi〜, ……pi〜”

The newborn chick started to chirp very weakly.

“What should I do? It’s too bad to leave it alone, maybe I should take it with me?”

I did not know what to do to the sudden encounter with a chick. And although flustered, I thought that it’s pity to leave it here, so I decided to take it with me.

“Here, come here……”

While saying that, I held it kindly with one hand, put it on my head and went down the tree.

“Pii〜♪”

It looks like it likes being on top of my head. It chirped happier than earlier.

“”…………””

Pedro and Nicolas had a face like they didn’t know what to say to me, having a chick on top of my head.

“……let’s go search for rabbits?”

“Pii〜♪”

The chick immediately answered to my words to change the atmosphere.

“……I guess so.”

“……yeah.”

The atmosphere didn’t change, and while a strange air was flowing, we did what we came for in the first place. Search for the rabbits  

By the way, after that, I named the chick ‘Negro’ the black color in the continent’s language.
