A man came out down from the city wall and looked at the soldiers in front of him. A few months back, they heard that an army of Devil Cult Disciples were moving. Who knew that they would be attacking them. 15 Days ago, they heard that they were about to go to war with them which made them panic a little.

The man's name was Tyler. He was the one who would lead the soldiers in front of him. He had a Sky Realm Grade-1 cultivation base as he had just brokenthrough 3 days ago. Although his cultivation had yet to stabilize, he had to fight in this war.

"Men! Get Ready! Think of what you need to protect, think of your family and let it be your source of power in this fight!"

AHHHH!

The soldiers yelled as their morale was boosted. They walked to the top of the wall and took out bows and arrows. The equipment they had were decent. The bows were enhanced by runes.

Runes were what formed formations. Basically, a formation was a collection of many runes.

When the Devil Cultivators were in view, they started shooting arrows at them. However, what they saw next made their jaws drop.

A barrier was instantly erected, protecting their enemies. The arrows bounced off as if it was a ball hitting the wall. The Devil Cult Disciples also took out arrows and shot it at the soldiers.

*Fsh*

Arrows rained down on the city wall. The city's wall could handle an attack from a Sky Realm Cultivator, a bunch of arrows couldn't even leave a scratch on it. When both sides figured out that arrows wouldn't work, they immediatly charged at each other.

*BOOM*

Waves of pressure came from weapons and auras clashing with each other. People on both sides suffered casualties. It was chaos.

Alex was looking at the scene in front of him and watched the fight between both leaders.

The Human commander, Tyler, was fightin the Sky Realm Grade-3 Devil Cultivator with a Sky Realm Grade-1 Cultivation Base. It would be the first time Alex would see such a fight. Although he could kill them both, he had never seen cosmos energy being used.

The commander used a broadsword while the Devil Cultivator, who was called Jack, used a pair of daggers. The aura of the daggers were filled with killing intent and there was poison on the edge of it.

When they started fighting, the area around them was completely obliterated. It was obvious that Tyler had just brokenthrough a couple days ago but he already had decent control on with Cosmos Energy. The enemy was 2 grades above him but he could still get some hits in.

The blades clashed against one another, bouncing of each other. Sword waves were created while fighting intent and killing Intent spilled out of their bodies.

The face of the Devil Cultivator leader became ugly as he still couldn't kill the man in front of him. It was supposed to be clear that he would be the winner in this fight but he still couldn't kill him. He started using full power and evil Qi came out. It was a dark red color. Once someone looked at it, they would feel massive amounts of negative emotions and the Qi grew stronger with the amount blood it devoured.

The soldiers, however, weren't doing as well. They needed 2 people to kill 1 of the enemy. The more they fought with the Devil Cultivators, the more their morale decreased. Seeing their friends die and having their blood absorbed created a repulsive scene.

Alex was still standing on the wall with Anna who looked a bit pale from the gory scene in front of her. She looked at Alex as she wanted him to do something.

Knowing what she wanted, Alex shook his head. He said.

"I'll help them if things get serious. For now, I just want to gauge the power of the Devil Cult Disciples."

Anna nodded and looked away from the battlefield. It brought back some bad memories for her.

Tyler and Jack were still fighting. Their power didn't decrease since the fight began. The former's armour broke while a single dagger broke for the latter.

The visiting cultivators within the city started to feel the evil aura coming from the Devil Cult Cultivators. They started to make their way over. This was because they were widely hated and any chance they could kill them, they would take it.

When they arrived to the battlefield, they pulled out anyone who was injured and started to fight against the Evil Cultivators.

Alex just kept watching the battlefield with Anna right behind him.
