Chapter 10: Chapter 10

"Sky Tenki, an E Rank."

"Tsk, an E Rank? Seeing your reaction speed just now, you're definitely not normal." Tae-Shik said with a confused look.

"Then you must be an Assassin type... No that's not it either."

"A False Ranker? No, I can see the others look a little surprised by your strength." He said with a sadistic smile.

"There's only one answer... You've been reawakened!" Tae-Shik yelled.

When Kim heard Tae-Shik's words, he let out a small gasp, confirming Tae-Shik's suspicions.

"I see it must have been recently then." He said, his smile becoming even wider.

*Clank*

"Just stop talking."

Our swords collided, allowing me to see Tae-Shik's sadistic smile to the fullest.

'What is wrong with this guy?' I thought with a disgusted face, using my strength to push him back.

*Clash* *Fwoosh* *Clank*

"Keke, you're strong! I wonder what rank you've reawakened as..." We flickered around the room, sparks flying with each clash.

"If Sung has been with Tenki, then should he be this strong as well?!" I could hear Kim murmuring near the entrance the middle tunnel.

'I wanted to lower my strength so I could get some battle experience against a strong opponent, but I think this is enough.' I thought to myself while looking at the smiling Tae-Shik.

"This is truly pitiful." I said.

"How so?" Tae-Shik asked.

"I originally wanted to savor this fight."

'[Dash]'

"[Bloodlust]"

After activating [Dash] I backed away, allowing me to activate my other skill.

"Kuk" Tae-Shik froze, liquids pouring out of every orifice on his body.

*BOOM*

I kicked off with ground breaking speeds.

*Slash* *Cut* *Slash*

Bouncing off the walls, the cuts on Tae-Shik's body multiplying each time I flew by him.

*Fwoosh*

I flickered in front of Tae-Shik, looking straight into his bloodshot eyes.

*Kick*

I kicked him into the wall, leaving him with only a sliver of life.

I approached him as he just sat, soaked in his own blood.

"What kind of monster are you? With your speed, strength and even battle movement. You could easily surpass most A Ranks." Tae-Shik complained to me, his voice laced with jealousy.

"It's not like it matters, you wont live to understand anyway..."

*Slice*

'I didn't even realize I got this quest.' I said to myself, flicking the blood of my sword.

"Sky!" I heard a fearful yell.

I turned and saw a sweaty Jin-Woo followed by Mr. Song and Ju-Hee.

"W-W-What happened here!?" Mr. Song yelled with a frightened look.

I ignored the two and looked over at the 'dead' inmates.

"Let's talk somewhere else." I said to the group, ushering them into the other room.

'That guy really thought he could get away.' I thought, hearing the faint stumbling coming from the room we just left.

"Ah, I forgot something! I'll be right back, go ahead without me." I yelled, dashing away.

I could feel the shocked aura that was left behind me, but I just ignored it.

*Screech*

My feet made an ear-piercing noise when I abruptly slowed down..

"Oi!" I yelled, approaching one of the 'dead' prisoners.

*Twitch*

The body twitched, but quickly stopped moving.

"Come on man, I know you're alive..." I said, bending down and lifting up the body by its collar.

The prisoner turned to look at me, blood, sweat, and tears covering his face.

"Yikes, that's not a nice sight..."

'Maybe I'll do it the same way Jin-Woo did.' I thought to myself, inspecting the prisoners face.

"Ah, I forgot you couldn't speak! Miss Ju-Hee would probably be able to heal you..." I said to the man, dragging him with me as I moved away from the pile of dead bodies.

I could see the happiness appear in the mans face.

...

*Slice*

I landed softly on the ground, looking at the mountain of a body before me.

I had thrown the prisoner into the boss room and let him die, then I took care of the rest on my own.

The blue hob goblin was surprisingly easy to kill, but I just chalked it up to me being a such a high level.

A skill can be obtained by breaking the rune.

'Now, what to do with this.' I thought, slowing down as I near the exit of the gate, I could sense a group of people waiting there.

"Sky!" Ju-Hee yelled to me as I approached the group.

"Mr. Kim told us what happened... how did you get so strong?" She asked me with a nervous and confused look.

"And how did you take care of the boss so easily!"

"And...."

Ju-Hee had to many questions and I didn't have enough answers.

...

After give her vague responses like, "I just trained as hard as I could" and stuff like that, we exited the gate.

"It's a miracle you were here today Mr. Tenki, who knows what would've happened without you." Mr. Song said, patting me on the back.

'Ha, I know...' I chuckled.

I made my way over to Jin-Woo and we chatted a little before we both locked eyes with a familiar face.

"We meet again Hunter Sung, and Hunter Sky." Woo Jin-Chul said to us.

'Man, this guy is strong. Not much behind me, and that's saying something.'
