238 A Battlefield At Sea

鈥淎lright, which boat would they possibly be in,鈥?Tisiah muttered as he examined each boat that was lined up in the row, before he spoke. 鈥淭he first one is our best bet, and that鈥檚 where we need to be.鈥?He started to walk towards the first boat, but I stopped him.

鈥淚 want to make sure this is the right one,鈥?I said.

鈥淲hat?鈥?Tisiah asked. 鈥淲hat are you talking about?鈥?br>
鈥淟ook at the structure, it鈥檚 wide, meant for more strength, but not really speed,鈥?I explained. 鈥淗ow about the last one?鈥?I asked.

鈥淚t鈥檚 a good idea, let鈥檚 check that one out too,鈥?he said, and we walked towards the last one in line. 鈥淗opefully no one鈥檚 on that boat,鈥?September said as we made our way towards the last boat. It had this certain structure that was destined for speed: it was narrow and long.

鈥淟et鈥檚 hurry, we have little time,鈥?Tisiah said, as he placed his hand on the edge of the ship. 鈥淓veryone, get in.鈥?We rushed into the boat, and I immediately found myself overwhelmed by the towering walls of the ship. 鈥淪omeone needs to steer this,鈥?I said, looking at September for the job.

鈥淎lright, I鈥檒l take the wheel,鈥?September said, as she stepped out of the cabin and onto the deck. 鈥淓veryone, stay low, and keep quiet,鈥?she whispered.

I could feel the wind blowing, and I could hear the water splashing against the sides of the boat. I could smell the seaweed and salt in the air.

鈥淗ere goes nothing,鈥?I muttered. Nikki nodded, before she turned to look at Malachi. 鈥淗ere goes nothing,鈥?she repeated with a close.

The boat began to make ground鈥搊r water in this case, I guess. I鈥檓 not sure how the term exactly works when you鈥檙e on a ship.

We sped through the waters and the waves testified to that. Slowly, we approached the convoy of boats鈥揳lthough鈥揑鈥檓 not sure they saw us yet.

鈥淲e need someone to shoot at them, are there any weapons available in this ship?鈥?Malachi asked. 鈥淚鈥檓 hungry for some bullets or something.鈥?br>
鈥淚鈥檒l go check,鈥?Tisiah said, with an eager nod before he turned quickly to me. 鈥淜eep an eye on them, and tell us if anything鈥檚 happening.鈥?br>
鈥淕ot that,鈥?I gestured, before Tisiah shot off the floor and entered the door before slamming it shut. I looked ahead and nothing was much different, of course, only the fact that we were just slowly catching up to the convoy.

鈥淩emember, don鈥檛 blow up the ship Lock is in, we need him,鈥?September said through the earpiece.

鈥淗ow are we supposed to know which one he鈥檚 in?鈥?br>
鈥淗e wouldn鈥檛 be on the outside, because what鈥檚 the point of having a convoy if you鈥檙e at the front of the entire battle,鈥?September said. 鈥淗e would be super enclosed, and possibly in the middle.鈥?br>
鈥淯nderstood,鈥?I muttered before I glanced back, not seeing much of a change occurring. 鈥淯nderstood.鈥?br>
The repetition was necessary for an unknown reason, but it felt right to do. 鈥淵ou see anything, Malachi?鈥?I asked, taking a peer at him.

鈥淣ah, nothing,鈥?he said, shaking his head to add to his point. 鈥淗opefully those pursuer boats get here on time,鈥?he mumbled, but loud enough for me to process.

鈥淲e all do.鈥?br>
But all of a sudden, a loud wail in the air produced, and it caught our attention to the sky.

It was a big ball of flames, and it was heading straight down for us.
鈥淥h, no, September!鈥?I shouted, fear pulsating through my veins. 鈥淲eave!鈥?br>
The boat suddenly had a hard jerk to the right, and I could feel the ground being swept from under me, before I rocked back onto the ground.

The fireball crashed into the sea, leaving its message with a big eruption of water. 鈥淭hat was close,鈥?I uttered stiffly, feeling a bit of shock spasm through my bones.

鈥淏ut that means they noticed us,鈥?Malachi said, and a hull of terror thudded on my body. 鈥淲e鈥檙e going to die.鈥?br>
鈥淣o, we鈥檙e not!鈥?Nikki snapped, as she jumped to her feet. 鈥淲e鈥檙e not going to die! We鈥檒l just have to make our own weapons.鈥?br>
鈥淲hat do you mean by that?鈥?Malachi asked, as we both stared at her in confusion. But then, she caught her wand from her belt, and instantly put it to use. A cannon dropped from her use of power, and comprehension really began to sink into my mind.

鈥淚 forgot she had that power,鈥?I said.

鈥淪he鈥檚 been using it the entire time,鈥?Malachi replied, and I could see the curiosity in his eyes.

鈥淵eah, I forgot about that too.鈥?br>
鈥淏ut I haven鈥檛!鈥?September chimed in.

鈥淲ell, we should start making weapons now. We don鈥檛 have much time left,鈥?Nikki said. 鈥淚鈥檒l make another one, and you guys can use it to hold them off for a moment. I have to play hide and seek with Tisiah right now.鈥?br>
鈥淲e鈥檒l take care of it, we鈥檒l help you,鈥?Malachi said with a determined tone.

鈥淎lright, let鈥檚 get to it,鈥?Nikki said. Instantly a machine gun spawned into existence, before she shot away and through the door. 鈥淎lright, it鈥檚 just us,鈥?I said, looking at him. A sneer came across his face as he looked at each weapon. 鈥淐onnor, you take the cannon. I鈥檒l take this beautiful machinery,鈥?he muttered with excitement, coming forth to the gun.

鈥淎lright,鈥?I said, walking over to the cannon. 鈥淭his is gonna be fun.鈥?br>
鈥淚t won鈥檛 be fun, it will be death,鈥?Malachi said, as he grabbed the handle. 鈥淵ou better be ready for this, it鈥檚 gonna be rough.鈥?I lifted up the cannon to rest on the brim of the ship. 鈥淚鈥檓 soon about to fire!鈥?I shouted enough for Malachi to hear. 鈥淒on鈥檛 worry, I鈥檝e got this!鈥?he shouted back. 鈥淎lright, here goes nothing!鈥?br>
I could feel the weight in my arms as I took aim at the enemy convoy. The ball struck through the air, with no speed untold, dashing through the sky before coming down and accelerating towards one of the TSA boats. I could see the ball of fire burst into a mess of black smoke, and the boat exploded.

鈥淭hat was amazing,鈥?I said, as I took a glance at Malachi. A high-five was exchanged between us, before the celebration was rudely interrupted. Now two balls of fire were coming at us, and this was going to be hard to dodge. 鈥淯h, September!鈥?I shouted in the earpiece. 鈥淭wo are coming at your nine clock!鈥?br>
鈥淚鈥檓 on it!鈥?she screamed.


鈥淎nd I鈥檓 not sure how long I can last with this cannon,鈥?I added.

鈥淛ust hold on, they鈥檒l be here in a second,鈥?September said.

鈥淎lright, I鈥檓 ready to go,鈥?I said, as the balls of fire came closer and closer. I aimed towards the projectiles, and I shot鈥攆eeling the weight push against me鈥攂efore they shot up towards the incoming fireballs.

Both of the balls of fire shattered, and I breathed out. 鈥淎lright, that was a lot easier than I thought.鈥?br>
鈥淕ood job!鈥?Malachi shouted, with a smile.

鈥淵ou too!鈥?I returned, before I saw the look of horror in his eyes. 鈥淲hat?鈥?br>
鈥淭hey鈥檙e still coming!鈥?he said, as I turned my attention back to the sky.

鈥淪hoot,鈥?I muttered, before I threw the cannon back to the floor. 鈥淪eptember, you鈥檙e gonna need to dodge them. One鈥檚 coming at your eight and eleven!鈥?I shouted, before I ran towards the front of the ship. I could see the balls of fire were getting closer, and the sounds of the boats were louder. Suddenly the boat swerved hard to the right, hoping the fireballs would clear us. But it was not getting better, in fact, it was worse.

鈥淭hey鈥檙e coming straight for us!鈥?I shouted.

鈥淚 know, just keep going, keep going,鈥?September cried.

The ball of fire came into view, and it seemed to be heading straight for us. I closed my eyes and braced myself.

鈥淣ow!鈥?I shouted, opening my eyes to see the ball of fire come directly in front of us. But all of a sudden, it exploded, creating a force that pushed us back. I felt myself fly through the air, before landing on the back of the ship. The ball of fire had been so hot that it burned part of my clothes, and the sound of the explosion was so loud that I was sure it was going to blow the entire boat apart.

But it didn鈥檛.

Instead, it was just a large boom. We weren鈥檛 affected鈥s much. But suddenly, I heard Nikki speak inside of the earpiece as some savior of such. 鈥淵ou鈥檙e welcome.鈥?br>
鈥淗uh?鈥?I muttered, looking at my tattered shirt that was chopped to pieces. 鈥淲e found a weapon that shoots these big bolts or something, and now, at least we know it works.鈥?I nodded, feeling my heart basically pumping out of my chest.

鈥淵ou鈥檙e right. It does work,鈥?I said, looking over the other side. The TSA boat was a burning wreckage, with fire shooting from the top of the boat. 鈥淏ut where are the other YMPA boats?鈥?And just like that, the horns bellowed into the orange sky, as I looked back, seeing an entire fleet, school, community of YMPA boats as you鈥檇 call it.

鈥淥h my Lord,鈥?I muttered, seeing my rescue approach the battle. 鈥淭his is going to be crazy!鈥?I said, as I began to run towards the front of the ship. 鈥淓veryone, you鈥檙e gonna have to help!鈥?I shouted. 鈥淲e need to get ready for the battle!鈥?br>
鈥淎re you kidding me? I鈥檓 going to have to fight those things again?鈥?Malachi asked, with a huge sigh.

鈥淵es, you鈥檙e gonna have to fight them again,鈥?I said with a grin.

鈥淣o, I mean, it鈥檚 gonna be that kind of battle?鈥?he said, as we both stood on the edge of the boat.

鈥淵eah, it鈥檚 gonna be that kind of battle.鈥?I replied, holding my hand out. 鈥淲e鈥檙e gonna be fine. Just ready your weapon. Nikki and Tisiah readied theirs, we鈥檙e gonna do fine,鈥?I said with a smile that was probably the most hopeful ever since this situation started.

鈥淎lright, you鈥檙e right. Let鈥檚 get ready,鈥?he said, shaking his head.

鈥淗ey, don鈥檛 worry. You can do this. Trust me,鈥?I assured him, resting my hands on his shoulders. My eyes looked directly at his eyes and I could see, fear, worry, and a lot of nervousness. But then I felt that warmth spread through me like a wave, calming me down from my emotions. 鈥淵ou got this.鈥?I said with a smile. 鈥淎nd trust me, we鈥檒l be fine.鈥?He looked into my eyes for a second and nodded in agreement. 鈥淎lright, let鈥檚 go.鈥?br>
I touched my earpiece. 鈥淵a鈥檒l ready?鈥?I asked Tisiah and Nikki through the earpiece, in which they responded quickly, 鈥淩eady!鈥?br>
鈥淎lright, here we go,鈥?I said with a nod before I turned around and walked towards the front of the ship. As we began to move closer to our enemy, the TSA ships began to gain more speed. But the YMPA boats and us were catching up quickly, and contact was imminent. Very imminent.

I could see the YMPA boat with my own eyes, as I came to a stop. The ball of fire was about to hit the boat, and it was all up to us. 鈥淪hoot the fireball!鈥?I shouted. 鈥淒on鈥檛 let it hit that ship!鈥?br>
鈥淕otcha!鈥?Tisiah shouted in response, before he shot the fireball with a lot of speed, sending it flying towards the enemy ship. I could hear the sound of the fireball slamming into the enemy ship. The big gas of fire exploded, and debris shot through the air like bullets.

鈥淲ow, that was close,鈥?I said, as I watched the TSA boat being completely destroyed. 鈥淚 think we have them now. Everyone, hold your ground!鈥?The convoy was beginning to close in, in which one boat had the nerve to start nearing towards us. 鈥淪eptember, move right and avoid this boat!鈥?I ordered through the earpiece, which she followed. 鈥淣ikki, take that boat!鈥?br>
鈥淕otcha!鈥?Nikki said, taking aim and firing. I watched as the boat was shot, and a huge plume of fire went into the air. But it wasn鈥檛 destroyed, but the structure was now punctured with holes.

鈥淧erfect shot, Nikki!鈥?I shouted, before I saw a few more of the enemy boats were approaching. 鈥淎lright, keep shooting!鈥?I shouted, before I saw the TSA boat, which was in the middle of the convoy, begin to slow down. The YMPA fleet was beginning to approach, and now the sea was now a massive town of warring boats.

鈥淕ood job, guys!鈥?I shouted, as I saw the enemy boats try to circle around us. 鈥淲e need to stay together. We can鈥檛 let them surround us!鈥?I said, watching the enemy boats slowly circle us. Suddenly, I saw an explosion near the front of the convoy, and I knew instantly that it had come from Nikki.

鈥淣ice, Nikki!鈥?I shouted, and my heart slightly dropped from its rapid rhythm to the rhythm of calmness. I continued to watch as the enemy boats began to slowly surround us. I knew I needed to decide soon, so I turned to September and spoke.

鈥淪eptember, I鈥檓 gonna need you to do something crazy, alright?鈥?I said. 鈥淵ou ready?鈥?br>
鈥淵eah,鈥?she responded, her chest inhaling and exhaling excessively.

鈥淥kay, just be ready to follow my lead,鈥?I said, as I began to feel the heat from the surrounding flames. 鈥淣ow, everyone, get ready! This is gonna be intense!鈥?I said, as I began to look around the boat. I noticed that the enemy boats had stopped circling and were just sitting there, like they were waiting for the right time to strike.
