Chapter 23 Part 2

“Didn’t you want to go back into the car? I’ll take you back.” Zhou Tingsheng acted
childishly. He would rub against her nose every couple of steps and pecked on her
lips from time to time. He was teasing her like teasing a baby. Ye Qiao was sore all
over and didn’t even have the energy to kick him. She felt the walk of less than one
meter to the car was more tiring than doing a long distance run.

Zhou Tingsheng carried Ye Qiao back to the car and settling her comfortably in the
passenger seat. Then he circled around the front of the vehicle to get to the driver’s
seat..

Zhou Tingsheng drew near he, close enough that his stubble pricked her. He asked
in a rather deliberate manner: “How about it? Should I ask for a day off for you?”

Ye Qiao retorted: “Then what? Stay a whole day in this car with you?”

Zhou Tingsheng smiled: “I have no problem with that.” Then as an afterthought, he
lifted his head up to show her his neck and said: “Look, it’s nothing. Don’t take it too
seriously.”

Ye Qiao sat up a little. She understood what he was referring to but didn’t want to
bring up the subject. Her lips were very close to his face: “Actually, if I can take a
day off, I would have done so already. There’s hardly any signal up here in the past
two days. It took me a long time just to download a picture.”

Though she didn’t reply to what he was referring to, Zhou Tingsheng was still quite
happy with her answer. It looked like Ye Qiao didn’t get along with others in the filming
crew. Otherwise she wouldn’t spend all her time on her phone. He had downloaded
an app which specifically tracked movie star social network activities. This was
something he would never have done in the past. But with it, he could find out
whether Ye Qiao had been spending most of her time on Weibo, even if she didn’t
post something herself.

Zhou Tingsheng deliberately asked: “Where’s Gu Jin? Your old love is here and he
hasn’t tried to entertain you?”

Ye Qiao’s expression suddenly turned cold: “He has, everyday, till I’m tired of him.”

He smiled dangerously and pinched the button on her chest: “How did he entertain you?”

Ye Qiao pushed him away, irritated.

Zhou Tingsheng knew that he had brought up something he shouldn’t, but he just
couldn’t help it.

Ye Qiao didn’t continue the conversation and quietly sat there with a dark face.
Zhou Tingsheng lit up a cigarette: “Alright, I know he’s precious to you.”

Ye Qiao frowned.

Zhou Tingsheng started to blabber as he was smoking: “Where’s that actor from
before? He’s not here filming with you?”

“Zhou Tingsheng, are you finished yet?”

Zhou Tingsheng kept his silence.

Ye Qiao jump off the vehicle and marched away.
