"What do you want for dinner ?"

Su Yi Cheng's voice was finally audible for Qian Luo. Not until had a few minutes passed that she reacted. "Oh..anything is fine."

Knowing that wherever he brought her to wouldn't bring her back to her sense, Su Yi Cheng decided to send her home. Working for the whole week, as well as that man's disappearance, had taken a toll in both her physical and psychological.

"A bowl of noodle, is that fine?", he asked as soon as they stepped into her apartment.

Qian Luo shook her head while taking off her black cashmere coat. Though it was early spring, the weather was still cold thus most people would still put their thick clothes on. She placed the coat on the fluffy armchair.

"How can I let my guest cook?", she smiled but the curve of the lips obviously didn't reach her eyes.

"Then, let's cook together.", Su Yi Cheng suggested and it was not declined by Qian Luo.

So they went to the kitchen and started cooking. Su Yi Cheng was in charged of boiling while Qian Luo was in charged in cutting the vegetables and meat.

"Ah", a small gasped was heard and it instantly caught Su Yi Cheng's attention. His eyes darkened when he saw blood on her finger. He quickly took several tissues and pressed them on her injured finger. "I shouldn't have let you cook.", he blamed himself for letting her cook though he had known that she was recently absent-minded.

She felt guilty for being careless and made Su Yi Cheng blame himself. "I'm sorry. I will be more careful.", she apologized with her doe eyes.

How could he resist the woman in front of him at the moment? He leaned forward and kissed her forehead. "It's okay. Let me do the rest. You go and wait in the living room."

His actions were too smooth that Qian Luo felt that she was hypnotized. She did as instructed and waited obediently in the living room. She was still out of her mind when Su Yi Cheng called her over "Come here, the food is ready."

There were two bowls of hot noodle on the table. She pulled the chair and sat on it. She took the utensils that Su Yi Cheng had prepared and started digging in. Looking at how awkward she felt, Su Yi Cheng sighed. He thought to himself whether he had done something wrong, but he knew himself that he couldn't let her go the second time.

"Xiao Luo."

She lifted up her head and looked at Su Yi Cheng.

"There are two ways to forget someone."

"..."

"Using time and people."

He inhaled deeply before he said firmly "Give me a chance to be that person in your life."

Her eyes widened upon hearing his confession. She knew all along that he had a crush on her since their university time. However, at that time, he didn't say anything and supported her relationship with Lu Jinnian. Moreover, he only stayed by her side for seven years long and said nothing. 'Why does he suddenly confess?'

"I know that you still love him, a lot. I do not know for why you guys broke up and I do not want to know. He disappear right after you guys meet. He had left you, not only once but twice. Will you still wait for him?"

"Ah Cheng.. Like what you said, after seven years long I still love him. Even after what he has done, I still love him. I thought that time could make me forget about him. At the very least, I wouldn't feel anything when I met him but I was wrong."

"Therefore, you only have one choice left.", he grabbed her hands.

"It'll be unfair for you. How can I be with you when my heart is his ?"

"It'll be more unfair if you don't give me even a chance."

She had ever thought of getting a fling so that she could temporarily forget about him, but she felt that it was wrong to do so. Thus, she encaged her intention.

She really wished to give herself a chance to live well without Lu Jinnian. She wanted to live happily because she knew she deserved it, but she couldn't control her own feelings.

"Can't you think it over first ?", he looked at her hestitation and immediately persuaded her.
