Sweeter than Fiction

Choi Minjun emerged out of the kitchen and noticed that the people in the living room turned quiet all of a sudden.

She entered the living room and saw her children being serious while looking up at the stairs. As expected, Choi Minjun saw her husband descending the stairs.

"Lunch is ready." She announced and went to her husband's side; taking his hand from the nurse and thanked her. The both of them took the lead and entered the dining room while the others followed.

On the corners of his eyes, Guan saw his brother supporting Min Chu towards the kitchen with his hand on her hips.

It's as if she's made of glass that with one wrong move, she's going to break. Well, she actually is. Sadly he's not the one who is taking care of her.

Guan could not take to watch any longer and turned his face away from them when his eyes landed on the fair little hand still entwined with his.

He raised his head and met her eyes staring at him. Just by staring back at her black eyes unexpectedly comforted his complicated emotion. Guan smiled and tightened the grip on her hand.

"Hey! Enough of that, let's eat."

They both looked at Su Bin's direction who is wearing a smug look on his handsome face.

Su Bin wondered when the two of them became this intimate. He took his phone out and typed a text to Yu Mei, even sending the photo he took of Liu Yang and Guan together.

The servants had just finished serving the dishes when the three of them arrived.

Su Bin was about to take a seat on his usual spot when Guan tapped his back and signaled him to sit on the chair next to it.

"Why?"

As an answer, Guan raised his hand that was clutching Liu Yang's hand for some time now.

It rendered Su Bin speechless. He narrowed his eyes. 'What type of trick is this guy trying to pull?' he knew that Guan is not serious about Liu Yang, but…this…whatever!

"Shush! Stop it you two! Su Bin, take the other chair," Choi Minjun admonished.

Su Bin had no choice but to obey while pouting.

"Ah!" Guan exclaimed. Catching the attention of everyone including his father.

"Mother…Father," he addressed his father impassively as if he was talking to a stranger.

Liu Yang noticed this and took a quick glance on Niu Yizhang who is also wearing a stern face while looking at his son. She found this odd but did not say anything since she knew nothing about how they interacted as father and son.

Guan continued, "Everyone, this is Liu Yang, my girlfriend."

Liu Yang gave an awkward smile and bowed her head to them. She did not know what to say so, she kept her head hanging low.

Everyone in the room had this rare smile on their faces except for Niu Yizhang. Nobody uttered any word after Guan's introduction and the air turned suffocating.

Liu Yang's hand is now turning sweaty in Guan's clutch. She bit her lower lip when Choi Minjun exclaimed, "Sit down, sit down. Let's eat!"


She breathed a sigh of relief inwardly. She even thought, 'What is wrong with this family? They are so awkward and mysterious.'
