Cai Youyang thought that Yan Zhi had become infatuated upon seeing a handsome guy. To his surprise, Yan Zhi ran over to him a few days later and told him they were dating.

Cai Youyang hurriedly reminded him, “Do you really know him well? Fool, don’t get swindled!”

Yan Zhi was confident as he said, “He’s not that type of person.”

“Well, if you say so,” was all Cai Youyang said. But in his heart, he was skeptical of Yan Zhi’s judgment.

One day before the start of school, Lu Feng returned home, which was when Cai Youyang spoke with him about Yan Zhi’s matters. Sensing his worry, Lu Feng said, “Isn’t he also in Xin city? Ask him when he’s free and tell him to bring his boyfriend along too. The four of us can have a casual meal.”

Cai Youyang replied, “Here I am butting in and surveying the situation for other people. Am I being too nosy?”

Lu Feng smiled and shook his head. “The people’s police also take care of the people’s affairs.”

Cai Youyang was stunned silly. Afterward, he quickly began singing praises and gave him a thumbs-up. “Officer Lu, you sure are enlightened!”

Inwardly, Cai Youyang felt like a dog nabbing a rat. But when Yan Zhi heard that he wanted to meet up with him, his first reaction was “Great, we can finally meet face-to-face.”

Finding this child’s vigilance to be really poor, Cai Youyang became even more worried for him. “Bring your boyfriend too,” he said, as though he were a father.

Yan Zhi shyly answered, “Not yet my boyfriend.”

“Really?” Cai Youyang blurted.

In a skeptical tone, Yan Zhi said, “You don’t hope for us to be together?”

Contrary to his true thoughts, Cai Youyang told him, “No, no. I especially hope for you two to be together.”

Yan Zhi broke into a sweet smile. “Thank you. You will see in a few days. He really is a particularly good person.”

Whether Yan Zhi’s boyfriend was good or not, Cai Youyang currently didn’t know. But Cai Youyang had personally experienced whether the school’s new vice principal was good or not.

As the saying went, a newly appointed official cracks the whip three times. Soon after the new vice principal showed up on the first day of school, he announced that in order to improve their teaching and administrative staff’s physical fitness, starting this semester, all staff and students must participate in an early morning 2000m run.

When the staff heard this news, one old teacher’s knees softened right then and there, while another female teacher wearing thin high heels blanched, looking as though her face had been painted white.

At that time, Cai Youyang had looked down on them. In his mind, it was only 2000 meters. He could cover that distance in a few minutes. He had nothing to be afraid of. Then came the second day, where they really started running. Only then did he understand just how powerful he really was.

On Tuesday morning, which was also their first day of running, he bitterly focused on running. While the PE teachers were on their fourth lap, Cai Youyang, as someone from the literature and language department, was still on his third lap. And when the PE teachers already finished five laps, they had finally just finished their third lap.

Many times in the middle, Cai Youyang didn’t want to continue running. His throat burned and seemed to be releasing smoke, while his legs turned as soft as noodles. He was tired. So tired.

But even though he wanted to plop onto the ground or maybe secretly slip away from running laps, the students were watching them at the side. As a teacher and role model, how could he dare do so?

And so, Cai Youyang could only grit his teeth and forced himself to run until the end for four consecutive days. Eventually, he survived the first week. When he could finally rest on Saturday, his thighs were so sore that he had to rely on Lu Feng to help him climb down the stairs.

He and Lu Feng hadn’t done it for an entire week. That Saturday night, Lu Feng really wanted to do it, but as soon as he placed his hand on Cai Youyang’s leg, Cai Youyang began howling, “Ow, ow, ow! Take it easy, take it easy!”

It was difficult for Lu Feng to part his legs.

And so, as Lu Feng kneaded Cai Youyang’s thighs, he gnashed his teeth and scolded the new vice-principal with him.

In the end, Cai Youyang had to comfort him, saying, “It’s ok, it’s ok. If you really want to do it, you can sit and move by yourself.”
