It seems that all animals that can be called due to a contract are called 「Summoned Beasts」. I asked about those summoned beasts during the evening tea time with my siblings.

「Alphonse-niisama and the rest, do you also have summoned beasts ?」

Sitting on top of Alphonse-niisan’s lap, I turn around while I’m being hugged by older brother.

When Alphonse-niisan called, the soft cushion moved.

I got surprised !! What I thought was a cushion turned out to be a fluffy furry cat. You could say that it is hidden in fur, so I can barely see it’s face and short limbs.

「It’s called a furry cat. It has the disposition to carry heat, it will keep you warm if you leave it next to you on chilly nights. It’s also fluffy and feels good when you put it in the bed」

Even though we have a warm climate, it’s a bit chilly at night. If I had such a pet, I’d be very thankful.

「I also want a Furry cat !」
「That’s right. Since there are many in the forest, it might be good to make a contract」

「Phil, do you want to see my summoned beast ?」

Hubert-niisan turned his back, then he looked at me with a naughty child’s look. I gave a big nod in excitement.

I stepped down from Alphonse-niisan’s lap, and stared intently at how Hubert-niisan did it.

「Kaen !」

I wonder if the animal’s name is the trigger for the summoning. Hubert-niisan yelled out vigorously.
Then, the space shook and a small creature appeared. It was a red hand-sized animal. It had a back like an Armadillo 1.
