The Adventurer System

Bam!

Hippie unexpectedly fell to the ground, yet, she easily regained her footing. As the picture of her grandmother suddenly flickered inside her mind.

"No. I can't accept if I just end like this. I need to fight back." After she showed the monsters who controlling the Trivial Soldiers, she used one of her movement skills.

[Fiery Dance!]

Boom!

A tremendous explosion occurred and shook the place. As the monsters positioned in the right corner release a massive magical power.

Swoosh!

In front of her were the Trivial soldiers, they were charging at her with an extraordinary speed.

"Just run straight, they can't hit you. As long as I'm here." Yumiro said in an average tone, encouraging the woman to wouldn't stop because of the circumstances.

She nodded a bit, then eventually lowered her head. So she could increase her speed instantly.

"Yes, Grim. There's no turning back."

[Physical transmission!]

[Jumping axe kick!]

When the moment the monster's spears were about to touch Hippie's neck and abdomen. He regulated his strength on his left foot to increase his speed in an instant.

Swoosh!

Yumiro was rapidly elevated to the mid-air while having a stolid expression on his face. He already raised his left leg, then he swung it downward to create a force that could inflict some damage.

Boom!

His foot blade landed on the monster's headgear, and which made it sent to other monsters.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

3 of them were crumbling at the motte surface and latched themselves for a couple of seconds. It means their movements were delayed.

As soon as Hippie passed to them, she had a grin on her face. While running she abruptly patted Grim's shoulder.

"Thank you, Grim. I have no doubt, that you're a really unbelievable adventurer!" She said with a cheerful tone.

He startled for a few seconds, and eventually followed Hippie to her way to make a new plan.

'Eh? She saying such thing.'

5 minutes had easily passed, then 2 of them were standing on the dark side of the vast surface.

"Grim, you can't believe what I saw! The monsters there are had an extreme appearance. Their eyes were scary which made me lost my consciousness for a couple of seconds." She said while rapidly shaking Grim's body as she was excited because they perhaps could get a rare item with them.

Bam!

He barely pushed her back as he felt comfortable with it. "Don't come closer with me, we aren't friends."

Hippie stepped back twice as she was shocked in this instance. "Oh, I apologize, Grim. I'm not mean for that." She deeply bowed her head.

"Yeah, forget it. Tell me, what can you see right there? So we could complete our first task here." He ordered her, then turned around. Seeing the monsters there weren't moving for no good reason. 

Hippie now was stating the scene she witnessed earlier. Sharp ears, dark violet eyes and black conjunctiva, rough dark skin, and 2.6 meters of height. Other than that, she couldn't recognize anything as the place was too vague.

"That's all?" He said in a low voice, then took a glance at her with serious eyes.

She shook her head, as she couldn't remember other than that. All the words she said were what her eyes just saw.

At this point, Yumiro had an idea how they were going to defeat those remaining monsters that had such pain on their heads.

"Let's ride the monsters who controlling the soldiers. I know if we annihilate them, we can leave this place."

He was sure about it, knowing they're still needed to complete the 3 portals on the oval stage. However, the main problem he couldn't complete it for just one day.

"Okay, Grim. But, how do we supposedly attain closer distance with it? If the Soldiers are trying to protect them." She asked, then started to move.

"There's no other choice, we should send the monster far away and use a big opening to escape from them." He explained and added. "Just leave it to me, one kick is enough to send them far away." 

"Yeah, I believe in you. Let's go!"

After she spits those words, both of them were started to dash closer to the monsters. And when the distance was around 20 meters, the Trivial Soldiers suddenly gathered a black magical power on their spears.

Or to be more clear, while they were concentrating their dark magic power, their spears were getting bigger little by little. Seemingly, if one of those spears hits them, probably none of them would survive.

"Do you think, you can dodge those spears?" He asked her, then loosened his speed a bit so Hippie could catch up to him.

"Yeah, my fatigue is still over 50%. I think I can dodge it without any difficulties." She answered back.

"Good, I don't want someone being patient here."

Yumiro didn't like to bother by others or babysit Hippie in this expedition. So he couldn't have limited movements and also had peace of mind while attacking. 

"Of course, I won't."

The three Trivial soldiers move to each other, then pointed the keen endpoint of their spears in one position. As they merging their magical power to make an outstanding attack in an instant.

"Hippie, there's something different with them. Hide for now, and come out when I call you. We must guarantee our VR life here no matter what." Yumiro ordered her once more. Knowing something new will happen as soon as the monster releases it.

Hippie nodded since agreed on Grim's decision. In her mind, even she noticed Grim was still a newbie in this game, yet his decision-making and how he adjusted to the current situation. Those were the things she admired for him, so there's reason to refuse it.

On top of that, his movements and mastery of his martial arts were incredible. This means he was pulling out for something.

"Okay, Grim. Leave it to you. Just call me, I'll run under the vast platform while you're luring the monsters' attention." Hippie responded with glee on her face.

"That's the right call, but don't attack the monster you've mentioned. If must hiding some tricks in their sleeves." He warned her, then snickered.

"I'm aware of that, you also be careful. You shouldn't take any damages with that." She smiled at him and suddenly charged.

'You should be worried more about yourself. You're too soft.' He uttered to his mind as he focused his attention on the monster's upcoming attack.

Then suddenly, his eyelids were widened after seeing the monsters released their attack. It was like a dark-violet ray light that had 5 meters radius.

Boom!

The place was crumbling and eventually shook the ground. Dust dripping on the ceiling while the dark daylight turned the solid thing into dust.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

A consecutive explosion transpired as the monsters swayed their spears when they saw the adventurer moving around.

"Oh, crap! I didn't foresee, this is gonna happen." Yumiro clicked his tongue while dodging the solid wall falling over him.

At this point, he was thinking to use the [Core devourer] skill since in this situation the high damage was inevitable.

He shook her head, then gritted his teeth. "No, I can't do that. This is not the right time, 3 portals are remained I can guarantee if one of those I couldn't use this skill." He mumbled, then continuing to dodge the monsters attack.

The place where Yumiro was stood up before was enveloped by a high wall and thick dust. As it was about to be eradicated, moreover, the Trivial stopped from attack as they couldn't see the adventurers existence.

The 3 of them were back at their respective owners, thinking they already finish annihilating one of the adventurers. They were raising their spears and pointing them into the ceiling, was like true soldiers that won in their war.

On the other hand, even though was startled at the scene that just happened. She still had a wide smile on her face after being notice Grim's HP was over 87%.

"He's really on a different level. What on earth happened to him to become like that? Grim Draigh is an untouchable adventurer." She murmured, then carefully looking at the elevated screen. She selected the map icon to determine Grim's precise location. "Where is he--"

Then suddenly her back touched the freezing wall as Grim appeared next to her. "What did you say? I heard some of it?" He asked while having a malicious smile on his face.

"Yeah, I said you're an untouchable adventurer. Why?" She replied without stuttering.

He deeply sighed as this woman was really honest. However, it wasn't their main problem right now, so he quickly forgot about it.

"Nothing, but we should avoid again that kind of instances. We definitely wouldn't survive with it." He said in a cold tone and added. "Let's make a new plan, we should stop those unknown monsters to control those soldiers. Come over here, Hippie."
