The Adventurer System

Well, Yumiro reached the exact place where Asarki, Chirla, and Yuki stayed. Yet, Asarki already left the place.

Bam!

Yuki jumped directly to Yumiro, and she let him carried her. Tears formed in the corner of her eyes while moving her head closer to Yumiro's neck.

"Brother Grim, where have you been? Why you take so long? I-I'm worried about you." Yuki sobbed and rubbed her face on Grim's face.

He just smiled, then gently patted her head. "I'm sorry to make you worry, Yuki. There's just something that came up."

Aside from that, Yumiro noticed. Yuki attained some levels while he was in the Barlane dungeon.

"How's the training, Yuki? Asarki take good care of you?" He asked her while continuing patted her silky black hair.

She mildly nodded. "Yes, Brother Grim. Sister Asarki taught me so well." She responded.

He agreed to her since he saw Yuki was already level 8 rogue in a short time. Thanks to Asarki, she carefully trained this little girl.

"Oh, I remembered where's Asarki went?" He asked the woman cat that standing in front of him.

"She left when she knew that you're here, adventurer Grim." Chirla bowed her head to show her respect and added. "I think adventurers Asarki was in a hurry. Since she said she had no remaining time to train herself for the guild selection.

Yumiro slowly rubbed his chin along with consecutive nods. " Okay, I get it. Let her for a while. We needed to give the time that she wanted."

"Grim, who's the energetic woman behind you?" Chirla asked.

It seemed Yumiro forgot that he was been with this woman. "Oh, she's Hippie. I met her in the Barlane Dungeon." He explained.

"Oh..." Chirla bowed her head once again. "Thank you for helping, my Owner!"

Hippie waved her hand while cheerfully smile at them. "No, no. I'm just a burden to your owner--"

After she spits those words, she paused for a couple of seconds as she discovered something. So to clarify the question that pierced her mind. She checked the neck of the two NPC's and saw the little girl had a pink collar and the other one had nothing.

"Grim, why choose this little girl to become your slave. And why is that cat woman calling you Owner? Even she had no collar on her neck?" Hippie wondered.

"I made Yuki become my slave for good reason. Also, I don't know the reason why Chirla calling me an owner just let her be." Yumiro responded nonchalantly.

To answer Hippie's question, Chirla intervened in their conversation. "Adventurer Grim, I apologize for speaking without permission." She barely bowed and eventually darted her eyes at Hippie. "I devoted myself to Grim Draigh, even I'm not his official slave. I'll start working with him."

"Hmm... A personal decision for NPC. Okay." Hippe said, then grinned at them. "I'm Hippie, I hope we can get along."

"Oi! Oi! Oi! Don't jump to the conclusion, we're not yet talking about that." Yumiro stopped them and ordered Hippie. "You can leave in the meantime. Also, I have some requests from you."

She raised her brows as this was the first time Grim asked her for something. "What is it, Grim--?"

"Adventurer Grim, leave that job to me. I'll do everything." Chirla intercepted again their conversation.

"No, Grim. I'd love to do it, just tell me what is your request--? Hippie said as she didn't want to lose to Chirla.

"No! Let me."

Yumiro gritted his teeth as he was started to feel annoyed by their voices. "Can you lower your voice? Before I kicked out both of you in this room."

Hippie and Chirla minimized their voice. Yet, both of them were still sharply looking at each other.

"Chirla, you already have a job, isn't it? I assigned you to babysit Yuki and in exchange, I'll pay you gold coins." He said and turned at Hippie's side. "And you, convert our collected cores to the currency in this world. Once you come back, we'll split all the loots equivalently."

Hippie licked her lips, then took a glance at Chirla as she was trying to mock her. "Yes, Grim. I'll happy to do that."

'This woman...' Chirla mumbled.

On the other hand, Yumiro also took out all the cores that were inside of his inventory. While the other cores that had a huge value like the white Grasshopper core were held by Asarki.

Hippie blinking her eyes in confusion. After seeing some of the cores were destroyed for no good reason.

"Grim where did you get this? And why there are defective cores' here?" She asked her since some of the cores that were destroyed seemed to have a huge value.

At this point, Yumiro was bothered as his teeth were perfectly shaped on the cores. The only adventurers and NPC knew that he could transform into the other forms were Yuki, Asarki, and Alison's party members. It was his thought.

"Grim, it's a big loss. No one would buy a core like this." Hippie said, then separated the 10 defected cores along with the Green frog core.

"Is that so?" Yumiro hid the cores.

Hippie was curiously looking at him. "Grim, can I ask some questions?"

Yumiro immediately refused. "No, just do the job that I assigned. Also, come back here tomorrow after the update."

She slowly nodded. "If you say so, Grim." She took the cores that were lying on the ground. "Okay, Grim. It's time to leave, I promise I won't be late."

"You should do it." He replied, then tugged walked towards the luxurious bed that had a capacity of 5 persons.

"See you tomorrow, Grim. Chirla, and Yuki." She bowed her head to them as she wanted to inform them that she was going to leave.

"Take care, sister Hippie. Let's have some cakes sometimes!" Yuki cheerfully said.

"Yeah, leave and don't come back here," Chirla murmured.

"Yes, we'll definitely do that," Hippie replied and leave the place at once.

The door clicked as Hippie's existence vanished from this room. Moreover, Yumiro lay to the ground.

"Ah... It's comfortable this is the first time I experience something like this."

Over him was a huge fan mounted on the ceiling. Chirla and Yuki were looking at him and they noticed he was exhausted.

"Brother Grim, it seemed you're having a hard time inside the Barlane dungeon?" Yuki asked him in a cute tone.

"Yeah, the creature there was quite tough. It's hard for me to handle." He chuckled, then slowly closed his eyes.

[5:00 PM]

"Yuki, can a rest for a bit?" Yumiro said in a low voice.

Yuki nodded with a smile on her face. "Of course, brother Grim. I just wanted to see that you're safe."

"Thank you, Yuki. Chirla takes good care of her while I'm sleeping. I'll leave everything to you." Yumiro said and opened the function screen. He then clicked the log-out icon.

"Yes!"

Swoosh! 

As soon as he got back into the real world, he removed the VR helmet. He then saw Amiya was watching him for no good reason. 

"Oh, Amiya. Why are you here? Do you wait for me?" He said while rubbing his sleepy eyes.

Amiya blinking her eyes. "Oh, brother Yumiro. You got back." Seemingly she doesn't know her brother came back until the moment he asked her.

"Yeah, I decided to log out early to have some rest. So I would have some strength for the big update tomorrow." He muttered, then placed his VR helmet over his pillow.

Her face turned into a serious one. "Brother Yumiro, can ask some question about the game?"

Yumiro cluelessly nodded at her. "Of course, we're siblings." He said, then barely lifted his skinny body.

"How did you find the dark elf?" She asked with a serious tone.

Yumiro told the exact thing that happened inside the Barlane dungeon. On top of that, he spits some of the stories he knew within the elf's case.

"That's all the thing that happened, why Amiya?"

She shook her head. "No, brother Yumiro. I'm just happy for you that you received several big achievements." She gently patted his black hair. "I'm happy for you, let's have some expedition sometimes, okay?"

Yumiro nodded at her just like a child." Yes..."

"One last thing. You've defeated the dark elf, so what kind of item did you get?" She asked once more.

"Nothing special, that monster is really strong but doesn't have any interesting items." Yumiro looked at the ceiling and said. "I just grab the soul earing. Something like that, but I can determine the exact name of that item."

"No, it can't be?" Her eyelids were widened.

On the other day, the right time finally came and Yumiro was ready to use his VR helmet.

"What are the changes in this world? I must be familiar with all the new functions." He said in a low voice, then wore the console. He clicked the green button and the screen appeared right before his eyes.
